About Lisa Moshiri

We are from Tracy, California. We have a 14 year old daughter and a 17 year old son and two yorkies.

We like outdoor activities and love Yosemite National Park. We both work in healthcare.

Lisa Moshiri purchased this cabin in 2013

Why Lisa Moshiri chose Groveland

We fell in love with this cabin and the location was perfect for our family. This cabin has it all. It has that cozy, relaxed feeling, and is near many attractions. Any chance we have, we love going up to the cabin. My kids enjoy swimming at the lake and hiking in Yosemite. When we are at Majestic Pine Cabin, we spend quality family time together.

What makes this cabin unique

This is a unique A frame home with spectacular views on a double lot. We love to sit on the large deck enamored by nature. There are many animals to watch. We love to cook/eat, watch deer and humming birds from our deck.

Great Place To Enjoy the Lake & Yosemite N.P.

  • 5 of 5

We stayed here for week. EVERYTHING about our experience was GREAT!

The Cabin's owner (Lisa) was so helpful in the planning to make our stay at this cabin GREAT!

We rented this cabin for its proximity to Yosemite National Park and to enjoy Pine Mountain Lake .... and we were NOT disappointed.

The cabin was perfect for our family of 5 (and the dog). Everything about the this cabin was GREAT!. Most of our days were spent at the Lake or Yosemite N.P., but we enjoyed coming back to the cabin in the late afternoons and evenings to enjoy watching DVD's and looking at the starry night sky on the deck. My two young boys also really enjoyed all the unique game up in the loft area.

The cabin had all our basic needs. And we really enjoyed the A/C as the summer time temperatures in this area averages 90 degrees during the summer. While some past reviews were a little critical of the "dated" furniture and decoration, we though it all fit perfectly with the "Mountain/Cabin" theme.

There are three good beaches to enjoy Pine Mountain Lake. Marina Beach is a 1 miles driving distance from the cabin. Marina Beach is the biggest and most visited of the three beaches. The other swimmable beaches are Dunn Court (4 miles drive) and Lake Lodge Beach (2 miles Drive). We came to learn that the Lake Lodge Beach was a good alternative to Marina as it will have A LOT less people and MUCH easier parking on the busy weekends.

We spend 3 of our 6 full days enjoying Yosemite National Park. From the Cabin, it is 50 miles drive to Yosemite Valley, 70 miles to Glacier Point, 65 miles to Tenaya Lake, and 71 miles to Tuolumne Meadows. We learned that is takes 1 hour of driving time to cover each 45 miles.

NOTE: Parking in Yosemite National Park (particularly in Yosemite Valley) can be almost impossible after 10 AM each morning. During our 3 visits to Yosemite N.P., we left the cabin at 5 AM. This made for finding parking very easy.

We really enjoyed the Mist Trail to go see Vernal Falls & Nevada Falls (start your hike by 7 AM or you won't find parking near the trailhead and actual Mist Trail will be overrun with people) The view from Glacier Point is a site that SHOUD'NT be missed. And if you enjoy Alpine Lakes that is surrounded by towering Granite Peaks, Tenaya Lake is GREAT (the water will be very cool and refreshing).

I would HIGHLY recommend a ride on the Pine Mountain Lake Water Taxi.

Quaint cabin

  • 4 of 5

Cute cabin, well appointed and very inviting for our stay in the Yosemite area. This property would suit a family with children as easily as a grouping of adults. The kitchen was well stocked. Most enjoyable was the deck area! We had issues with the linen service which were remedied appropriately. The gate fee of $27 per vehicle was outrageous as were the long lines waiting to get through the gate during peak hours.

Great location with beautiful surroundings!

  • 5 of 5

The cabin is located in a resort that offers beautiful beaches and picturesque views. The cabin had a well-equipped kitchen, fabulous beds, and a loft that our teenagers never wanted to leave. We saw shooting stars at night and deer and other wildlife by day. When looking for food, try two guys pizza pies--yummy! The Priest Station Cafe had tasty breakfasts. The Iron Door is a must for its decor and its pie. Most places use swamp coolers as opposed to true AC, so if it's incredibly hot, they have trouble keeping up. Spend more time in the lake! The Yosemite gate down the road is probably the easiest entry point to the park. Plan on spending tons of time exploring!

The home has wonderful views of the surrounding mountains. For those that enjoy wildlife, it is quite common to see our local deer families walking by the house.

With access to all of the amenities Pine Mountain Lake has to offer, you can enjoy the year round 18 hole championship golf course (one of the Top 15 “Best Courses to Play in Northern California”). Relax in the Country Club lounge or enjoy a wonderful lunch or dinner at 'The Grill' at Pine Mountain Lake. We offer you all the comforts of home. The cabin is nicely decorated and fully furnished with everything for your vacation comfort. Included for your enjoyment are, Satellite TV, DVD player, Board Games, Books, Internet (Wi-Fi). Please note this is satellite mountain internet and it is very slow (our only option due to location). If you need your fast internet I would recommend another accommodation. We do get cell service with most major carriers.

Our home is open and spacious with vaulted knotty pine ceiling and offers plenty of room for entertaining or just relaxing. Step out the sliding glass doors to the spacious deck overlooking serene mountains. Once outside, the deck is furnished with a relaxing patio set. The deck also has a gas BBQ so you can grill while relaxing or taking in the views.

Inside, the home features 2 bedrooms, a large furnished loft, and 1 full bathroom. The two bedrooms are furnished each with a queen size bed. The furnished loft has a full and twin pull out sofa.

Groveland is the perfect little 'Wild West' Town with history dating back to the Gold Rush era and the Iron Door Saloon is the oldest Saloon still in operation in California with live bands most weekends! There are also restaurants and cafe's in town, antique stores, boutiques, and a top notch supermarket.

Whether you decide to relax, play some golf, ski, or visit Yosemite, your group will have everything they need for a Wonderful and Memorable vacation.

Please look at the great comments that our guests have left about their stay!
