This beach box-style cottage boasts easy, single-level living and offers direct beach access situated among the dunes in quiet North Avon!

The bright, open living/kitchen/dining area combination with high ceilings also features brand new living room furniture for 2023, along with a large 46' TV, lots of seating, and access to the large covered porch as well as to the upper deck with a hot tub. The well-equipped kitchen features a breakfast bar with seating, while the adjacent dining area is also equipped with seating. This makes serving meals and snacks a breeze. Down the hall, you will find 4 bedrooms. Bedroom one is a queen primary room with a private bath and a TV. Bedroom two has a queen bed. Bedrooms 3 and 4 have pyramid beds, perfect for the kids. Bedrooms two and three both have access to a convenient hall bathroom.

It was a clean and quaint little home but just right for my family. It was 4 bedrooms. Living room good size. Hot tub was a hit for my family. Kitchen was well equipped to do some great cooking. The showers needed some up dating like the shower heads but overall loved it.

Great Vacation in Avon

We are so impressed with the Avon community. Within being at our rental for 3 hours our dog got loose and took off. We were finally reunited after 3 days/nights all thanks to a wonderful community! The house had everything we needed. The walk to the beach was a little long, and you cannot see the ocean from the house - but we knew that going in. The beds are EXTREMELY loud - makes for difficult rest, but all in all a great place to stay.

Good but not worth the price

The house was nice, and great for our needs. Plenty of room for our family. Short walk to the beach. However, the hot tub was unable to be used because it was filthy, the internet was spotty at best, and the master bath shower head was very low (for reference I am 5'3 and the water hit me in the chest; there was a higher 2nd shower head but there is no way to turn it on). We did enjoy our time at the house and the beach overall.

Cute Beach Box

Quaint older "beach box" that sits in an amazing location! A short walk over the dune to Outer Banks paradise. This pet friendly home is a throwback to simpler times. With just a single floor of living space, this home is perfect for smaller families. This Beach Box's best feature is by far the rooftop deck and hot tub. It's the perfect spot to watch the sunrise. The home could use some cosmetic issues fixed as well as new beds. Overall, a good time was had by all.

Sea Escape a great location and we had an awesome time! But the house itself was lacking. For instance there were no screens in the windows of the home not even the sliding glass doors. October is a great time to have the windows open in Hatteras but we could not take advantage of this because the fly’s and mosquitoes are relentless at this location. Bed frames lead you to think they are decent but mattresses are like 20 years old. If you like took cook many amenities are missing. Living room TV is burnt in/ out Looks like there used to be a gate at main entrance to keep dog on porch which is now gone but a broken Adirondack chair was left there on it’s side as a make shift gate so there’s that. Oh and the chase lounge on deck is broken. Would have gave 3 stars but the amenities provided versus the pricing of the rental do not equal good value in my opinion. 🤙🏼

Best rental ever!

We really had a great vacation. The house was just right, comfortable, well furnished, amenities were so nice. Many choices of shows on the TV. Bathrooms were roomy enough. Kitchen well supplied. We did not use the stove but it was so clean it glowed. Every bedroom was roomy with well placed windows. Since there were no screens we bought sliding fit screens at Ace Hardware. My husband manages rental and full time homes on obx, so he was able to fashion a screen with the materials in his work F350 truck. He had an idea if the owners would agree, he would come down and fix every window each of which could use some work. We would do it in exchange for a 3 or 4 day stay. He would fix all the windows at no charge, of course. When we first moved down to obx he worked with a buddy who owned a window and screen business so he's very experienced. There may be other repairs the owner wants, just let us know. If the owner wants to pay one dollar as consideration that would be fine, contract or none. We are definitely staying in this house every time we vacation in Avon. The good news is that in 1 and one half hours, we get home. Easy ride. Thank you very much for our opportunity to stay in Avon. An aside: we honeymooned in Avon 43 years ago.

Fabulous home

House is in a great location Very quiet Quick & easy walk up the dune to the beach Perfect size for a small family Kitchen is VERY well stocked with quality cooking pans & a plethora of dishes!! We had 1 small issue just after arrival which I will not mention on a public post because it’s not a fault of the home/homeowners We’ve been coming to the OBX x 23 years and would definitely recommend this home Overall pros Well stocked, location, great decks Cons No screens for any of the windows or doors Being a ‘dog friendly’ home would be a great extra to put a gate at the top of the stairs Overall I rate this home a 4.5

Cute decor and close to the beach

This is a small bungalow with a great rooftop hot tub. It was nice to watch the ocean waves while in the tub. The beds were very soft. The dunes are right outside the front windows, and there is plenty of parking.
