Escape to Oma Hildes Tiny Cabin in Del Rio, Tennessee, for a quiet getaway for two. Tucked into the Smoky Mountain woods, this compact retreat pairs a private hot tub with heating, air conditioning and a peaceful forest setting.

YOUR TINY-CABIN STAY
This is a small, cozy space designed for a simple escape together. The sleeping space uses a sofa bed; please review the room photos to make sure the layout suits you. The bathroom has a shower and hair dryer. Unwind indoors after exploring or enjoy time outside in your private hot tub.

FOREST PRIVACY
A separate log cabin is approximately 400 feet away on the same property. The cabins share an access driveway, and foliage and screening vary by season. Each cabin has its own outdoor amenities; the log cabin's swim spa and sauna are not included with this booking. Another couple can book the log cabin separately, subject to availability.

EXPLORE AND UNWIND
Enjoy a base for hiking, scenic drives and adventures around the Smoky Mountains. We are happy to suggest local places to explore. Massages may be available at an additional cost by advance arrangement when we are on-site. Firewood may also be available for purchase; ask about availability.

BEFORE YOU ARRIVE
Expect a rural mountain setting and an uphill gravel approach. Daylight arrival is recommended; follow the check-in directions and reflective signs. Pick up groceries before arrival. Cellular reception can be limited or unavailable, so prepare your directions ahead of time and enable Wi-Fi calling on a compatible phone.

Tucked away in the woods, it offers the kind of quiet that you don’t realize you’ve been missing until you’re surrounded by it—no traffic, no noise, just the soft rustling of trees and the occasional birdsong.The cabin itself is beautifully cozy, with a warm, inviting interior that makes you feel at home the moment you step inside. Every detail feels intentional, from the comfortable furnishings to the thoughtful use of space. It’s small, but in the best way—perfect for slowing down and enjoying the simplicity of your surroundings.One of the highlights is definitely the outdoor setup. The hot tub is a dream, especially in the evening when you can soak under the stars with the cool mountain air all around you. It’s incredibly relaxing and adds a touch of luxury to the rustic setting. The fire pit is just as special—perfect for winding down at night, roasting marshmallows, or just sitting quietly and watching the flames flicker.What really makes this place stand out is the sense of calm it provides. While the cottage had some functional positives, several important issues significantly impacted my stay and should be disclosed more clearly in the listing—especially given the final price. Access to the property was challenging and stressful. As I approached, the road conditions worsened considerably, eventually becoming a one-lane gravel road with a steep incline leading up to the cottage. This felt unsafe for my vehicle, and I was concerned about potential damage. This type of access should be clearly stated in the listing so guests can make an informed decision. Upon arrival, I was met by a German Shepherd barking and roaming freely on the property. Traveling with my own dog, this made me feel unsafe and uncomfortable unloading my car or walking around. Because of this, I did not feel at ease approaching the owner or moving freely on the property at all. The Wi-Fi did not work during my stay, which was another drawback. Inside, the space did not feel prepared for guests. The unit was still decorated for Christmas and filled with the homeowner’s personal collections, leaving very limited space for guest belongings. Even the bed was crowded with excessive decorative pillows that had to be moved with no clear place to store them. Overall, the space felt more like intruding into someone’s personal dollhouse than being welcomed into a rental. On the positive side, the hot tub was operational (though the cover was difficult to remove on my own), and hot
