*Over the years, we’ve seen guests need to cancel for all kinds of understandable reasons. Because life can be unpredictable, we recommend considering the Travel Insurance offered by each booking platform. We’re not trying to add an extra expense — we’ve personally felt the disappointment of having to cancel a trip and not receiving a refund due to a policy’s terms. As a small business, we do need to follow the stated cancellation policy for each reservation*

We found everything we needed while at the cottage. The deck overlooking the river was so relaxing that we spent most of our time outside. It was very easy to walk or drive to restaurants and shops in town. We did a couple of hikes close by and enjoyed live music at the brewery in town. It was a very nice stop to unwind and relax on our road trip. Thanks for sharing your town with us!
This cute little cottage has a wonderful back deck overlooking the river that flows through town. Very quiet and peaceful. My wife and I wished we had more time to enjoy it. Great place for a couple getaway! We walked down to Main Street and got some pizza at a great little pizzeria before heading over to the local tavern on the water. Amazing how the people have come together to restore everything so fast since the hurricane came through town not even two years ago. We really enjoyed this place and would definitely return if we comeback through.

Thank you for the great review of Blue Heron Cottage and being our guest. We are glad you enjoyed your visit to Hot Springs. We are proud of how far we've come and grateful for guests who support and enjoy our little mountain town. We hope you will visit us again!
Our second time here, we love this place, and like that we can feel very secluded on the back deck overlooking the creek but also easily walk downtown.
Great location. Lovely property. Great community thats in process of rebuilding from helene. If you're looking for a very chill place for two where you can walk to everything you can't beat this property.
This cottage was so beautiful we had a hard time leaving to see the sights. It’s perfectly furnished. It overlooks a bend in Spring Creek which I could look at for hours. Our Cockapoo loved the fenced in deck where she could view all the nature safely contained. It’s right in town and fully equipped. We walked by it for years while we were camping, and now we had the joy of experiencing it.
I would absolutely stay here again. Perfect getaway for my spouse and I while we were in town for a wedding. I loved that restaurants/stores/brewery were all a short walk away. The sound of the creek behind the house was also so relaxing.
Mark, thank you for staying with us at the Blue Heron, and thank you for your review. We do hope that you will consider returning if you come back to town in the future.
Warmly,

Thank you Howard for the kind words, we do hope that you will return in the near future. We are so glad that you liked the Blue Heron for your accommodation.
Blue Heron cottage was perfect for our weekend in Hot Springs. Everything in Hot Springs was in walking distance. We were able to access the restaurants in downtown with ease. We enjoyed a soak at the Hot Springs resort and several opportunities to hike local trails. We want to wish all our best to the citizens of HS as they continue their recovery from Hurrican Helene.
Relaxing and cozy in this great escape! We will definitely return!!!

About the host
Hosted by Hot Springs Getaway
I purchased the Blue Heron around 2010 as an investment in the town I have lived in since around 2000. When I bought the house, it was in pretty bad shape and I thought that I could update it while keeping the charm of the original structure. I have worked in hospitality since college when I moved to Hot Springs to help my parents run their bed and breakfast.
Why they chose this property
It is close to my house, as well as my family's. I enjoy how walkable it is and the friendly people who live in the town of Hot Springs.
What makes this property unique
The house is well cared for and tended to. I feel like guest can get really comfortable in this space while they are exploring the area. It can be used as a base camp for adventure, or its perfectly suitable to spend days just enjoying being cozy in a sweet little spot by the creek.
