The cottage is perfect! Spotless, well appointed kitchen, bathroom and laundry. Walking distance to town. A wonderfully large backyard with picnic tables and a firepit.The pictures online are exactly what the cottage looks like. It was our 3rd time there and hope to return next year.

Loved this place! ;) It was impeccable. My cousin and I had a girls trip, so having the big bathroom was perfect to share. Both beds were comfortable. The water stayed hot for showers. Loved sitting outdoors by the fire in the evenings. We purchased fire starter & lighter at the Marathon across the street, but the wood is provided. You can walk to downtown Saugatuck on the trail across the street in front of the place. Saugatuck and Douglas offer great restaurants, but you just have to plan ahead, since some places are closed on different days. Five minute walk down the road from Blueberry Cottage and you can rent bikes from Blue Star Barns Coffee & Bikes. We chose e-bikes, so we could ride further. Went to Saugatuck dunes and on to Holland and back, a total of 20 miles, mostly bike trails. Blue Star also has great coffee, snacks and offers flights of wine to try. I would totally recommend Blueberry Cottage, especially for location, amenities and cleanliness. Thanks for a great place to stay!!

The Blueberry Cottage was everything that we were hoping for. Comfortable beds, nice linens, excellent living area. Absolutely perfect. The location was great for our daily exertions. Lovely backyard, that we weren't able to enjoy. Needed another day.John was the best host. Extremely flexible.

When I walked through the door, I was immediately impressed with the clean smell and spotlessness of the cottage. The recent renovation was done very well and the owners covered all the details. The full-size kitchen is well-stocked with everything needed to cook your meals. The bathroom is immaculate with a full-size washer and dryer, and laundry detergent was provided. The ping pong table in the game room was a fun activity, as well as the offering of camp fire each evening of our stay. The cottage feels bright and very clean. I will definitely try to make reservations here again should I return to the area.

This property was in an excellent location. It was very easy to zip into all the nearby towns. When we got to Blueberry cottage is was clean and had everything we needed for a very comfortable stay. Our host put an outdoor fire in every night for us to enjoy. I would definitely recommend Blueberry cottage and look forward to going back! Well done!!

This is the cleanest rental we have ever stayed in. Very well organized and equipped. It's close enough to downtown to walk and the beaches are only a short drive. The outdoor space is very inviting and we enjoyed the ping pong table. We would definitely stay here again.

Location was perfect for us to either easily drive to Saugatuck, Douglas or Holland. The property has very nice amenities. I'd stay at this location again.

Blueberry Cottage was lovely in many ways. It was located very near Saugatuck and easy to find. The home had two nice bedrooms, a comfortable living room and fully stocked kitchen; there was also a grill in the backyard if you wanted to use it. All was in great condition. The backyard was large and had lovely gardens. There was a picnic table and chairs around a fire pit. We met the owner, and he was so very nice and ready to help with anything. I accidentally left some belongings and he quickly shipped these to me and wouldn't accept payment. So nice!

Had a great stay. Loved the path right outside the house to walk downtown. Host had a complimentary bon fire one night with wood to use which was really thoughtful. The place was clean and is a great place for a family to stay. Would love to come back.

We really enjoyed our stay! It was conveniently located to downtown Saugatuck and had several restaurants within walking distance. The bike/walking path right across the street was an added plus. We enjoyed several beaches that were close by. John thinks about everything which makes your stay wonderful! Don’t look any further!!

Blueberry Cabin Stay July 2025

Great Saugatuck stay. The cabin was as described and very very clean! Easy check in and check out. Great location right outside of town and across the street from the walking path. Quiet and relaxing. Love having a Kuerig in the kitchen. I would recommend Ps- loved the coffee table books

Getaway with my granddaughters

The property was as advertised, extremely clean and Blueberry Cottage was near some of our destinations.Would've loved to take advantage of the firepit and making use of the backyard, but we were too busy. We did thoughenjoy playing ping-pong one night. It was a perfect stay.Thank you!

Fathers day weekend

The bedrooms, bathroom and kitchen were very good, but the dehumidifier was so obnoxiously loud we would hesitate returning in the future. You would have to turn the TV volume up significantly everytime the dehumidifier came on and it automatically turned on every few minutes. When sleeping in the bedroom you would very distinctly hear the dehumidifier. Very obnoxious.

We have come to love Saugatuck and consider it a magical place with each season bringing something special to enjoy. For over 30 years our family has enjoyed the magic of Saugatuck from the Sunsets over the beaches, to the many restaurants and art stores, to the vineyards and orchards, to the dune rides, boat rides, kayaking, biking, hiking, just to name a few joys.

We wanted to have an opportunity to share the many joys that Saugatuck and it’s surrounding communities bring to those lucky enough to visit. The Johnson family undertook restoration of this midcentury cottage row structure now known as the “Saugatuck Cottage Suites,” located on the North end of Saugatuck directly across the street from the walking path to downtown Saugatuck.

We took feedback from many friends and family and provided all the conveniences for those with both an active lifestyle as well as those that want to kick back and relax. Based on feedback we have provided: a secure easy in/out access for people that bring their bikes as each unit has its own attached garage with electric doors; two picnic tables per unit; fully equipped kitchens; strong internet for those of us that need to check in for work or relax and stream some Netflix or check in with Facebook; and convenient walking to restaurants; art stores and down town Saugatuck; as well as two parking spaces per cottage suite so no one has to look for parking when arriving or returning from the beach, vineyards or orchards.

We have a BEAUTIFUL fire pit with wood provided and ready for your enjoyment.
