The home was clean, comfortable and nicely decorated. The view is spectacular! There were household items that would have been helpful to have during our stay - mixing bowls, toaster, ice cube trays, cleaning supplies (to wipe down the kitchen after cooking or the outdoor table that was pollen covered), etc. Most days we had nice weather, but plan ahead since there is no eating table indoor, eating outside on the covered porch during bad weather might be unpleasant or not possible. The road access to the home was surprising though we are not from a mountainous area. House directional signs are well marked but the road is steep with sharp turns and quite unnerving at night. There is no area for children to play…lots of dirt and some grass (minimal), steep ground. Communication with Stephen, the host, was challenging. We’ve booked a number of rentals previously. For this stay, we never received a welcome message with a thank you for booking, activities, etc. No outreach during stay to see how things were going. Prior to arriving we adjusted the number of days within the grace period and it took more than one outreach to receive refund and when he said it was finalized, it wasn’t. We messaged him the day of checkout to request a later checkout time due to rain and though he eventually responded it was long after we messaged him saying we left at the expected time. We appreciated the approval but were long gone. Nice home but improvement needed.
