Just what we were looking for. Great cabin, nice area, beautiful foliage and close to a few areas. We visited Lake Placid, took the ferry to Vermont and went to Stowe and Smugglers Notch. I can also see how the cabin would be great to use in the summer months and have fun on Lake Champlain. Also would be great to just stay in and relax in the winter. We loved the farm stands in the area as well. Especially the 24/7 farm store in Essex Farm. Great spot! Great trip!
The cabin is fabulous with charming decorations. It's located in a quiet and safe neighborhood. Only a short walk to see Lake Champlain. About an hour drive to Lake Placid or Whiteface Mountain. The fully equipped kitchen had everything we needed to cook a meal after a full day exploring the surrounding area. The Keurig machine and pods enhanced our experience. Jennifer was a great host with excellent communications. We will not hesitate to stay here again the next time we visit Upstate New York.
Absolutely loved the cabin had everything we needed and more! Highly recommend this place if you need a peaceful relaxing get away ! Next time we will definitely bring our boat the boat launch is beautiful with lots of parking. Indian bay marina had great staff and amazing food! We walked every day ! Beautiful views and quiet area will definitely be back ! Next time I’ll bring the grandkids
We had a great stay! The cabin is cozy and spacious. Perfect for our family of 5. Feels rustic and woodsy, but with upscale touches that make it feel modern, clean, and comfortable. Hosts were very attentive, great communication. Would stay again!
Everything about this cabin was perfect. From the ease of checking in, ample parking and cleanliness, to the well appointed kitchen, rustic decor, and comfortable accommodations. Our stay was short, during peak foliage season, and the location was perfect to see what we came to see—fall color. I wish we had time to enjoy the lake and do some fishing. We’ll just have to come back. Our dog hasn’t traveled much and while this spot was very dog friendly, he was a little nervous about all the mounts on the walls. We humans thought they were cool and impressed with the authenticity. Just a heads up in case you have a wimpy dog like our doodle. We used the car ferry several times to visit Burlington, and hoped we love Burlington but found that city disappointing, and wished we’d spent more time in the NY side of the lake. Rattlesnake Mountain which is very close by had a great trail and was a good challenge for my kids; my dog and I sat out the upper portion of the hike as it was very steep and rocky. The kids said it was well worth the challenge for the views! Other than Shelburne and Burlington on the other side of the lake, there aren’t many stores near this location, other than the Village Meat Market which does have most things. Their tee shirts are worth checking out. I’d recommend packing in your groceries so you don’t have to go when you get there. Overall, we loved this spot.
Our stay was excellent! The place was well stocked, beautiful and as described. Very quiet neighborhood. Saw occasional dog walkers go buy and everyone waved! The beds were very comfortable. The kitchen supplies were nice. Everything you need including spices. Kids loved the fire pit. 2 block walk to the water but can be seen from the front porch (interior lot). No large grocery stores close but has a local store and gas’s station, a dollar general and ice cream stand about 5 minutes away. If you have a boat to put in the water, there is a boat ramp a few blocks away. Highly recommended!! Thanks for sharing your cabin with us! I rate 10 out of 10.
The cabin was very comfortable and equipped with everything one could need. We especially appreciated the details Jennifer shared and how easy it was to communicate with her. Will definitely return.
What a beautiful property!!! We truly enjoyed our 7 day stay. The “cabin” is just gorgeous. We felt like we were up north! The kitchen has everything you might need. We cooked several meals & thoroughly enjoyed them. The host left us some home canned red pepper jelly & dill pickles! We loved them. We took a day trip to Essex & did a round trip ferry ride. That was fun. Another day we went to see Rainbow Falls in AuSable Chasm. We can’t do the hiking, but there’s a beautiful lookout from the bridge on Rt 9 that is easy access. Be sure to go to Westport & visit the Bookstore at the Inn. Best bookstore I have ever visited & great coffee, too!We enjoyed breakfast at the Willsboro Diner, had a delicious’Michigan’ at Ethel’s Dewdrop Inn. You’ll have to be sure & try one! We had a great Mexican dinner at Taco Temptation in Keeseville. Different-but really good!! Try them! Our furry babies had a wonderful time—we appreciated their amenities, too.The place is spotless, the beds were comfortable & the sheets feel so good!!! Great water temp & pressure for showers!I can say nothing but great things about this beautiful home. The hosts were very helpful when needed! It was easy to check in & out. Fantastic experience. Would come back without hesitation. Thank you!

We are so sorry to hear your stay was only worth a 3 star review. We work very hard to make everyone’s stay a good one. It would have been helpful if you had explained the low rating.
