Enjoy your vacation in style at Gigis Getaway, an open concept ground-level home nestled in the serene walkable woodlands between the Intracoastal Waterway and the Davis Canal. There is a small fishing dock just blocks away where you can cast a line, catch a sunset, and view wildlife. A short 4-minute drive and you will be at the glorious beach of Oak Island. Recently built in 2021, this house features tasteful coastal decor, high-end finishes, 9 ft. ceilings, large closets, and tile & LVP flooring throughout. The expansive Primary Bedroom Suite is complete with a tray ceiling, crown molding, a large walk-in closet, a desk, a TV viewing area with a loveseat, and a private bath with a dual vanity and a walk-in shower. Preparing meals is a joy in the luxurious, fully equipped kitchen that includes a large island with granite countertops and stainless-steel appliances, and is open to the dining room and living room.  Extra guests for one night? Discover the hidden chest murphy bed which sleeps 2 in a nook in the living room. Double doors open to the outside, where you will find a large screened-in back porch with comfortable furniture for relaxing with a cup of coffee in the morning or a drink at the end of your fun-filled days. The large wooded lot features a fire pit with chairs and has plenty of space for corn hole. Gigis Getaway has everything you need and more to make forever memories of your Oak Island stay.



One-Level Home with no stairs. Driveway has parking for four vehicles, with room in the garage for one.



Living Room: nook with chest style murphy bed, Roku TV, board games, desk and chair.

Kitchen: large center island work counter with seating for 3, granite counters, stainless steel appliances, side by side refrigerator-freezer, microwave, dishwasher, pantry, fully equipped for cooking meals at home.

Laundry Room: washer and dryer

Primary Bedroom Suite: queen bed, Roku TV, walk-in closet, ceiling fan, ensuite bath, upholstered loveseat.

Primary Ensuite Bath: walk-in shower, double vanity with granite counter, toilet

Guest Bedroom 1: queen bed

Shared Hallway Bath: bathtub and shower, single vanity, toilet.

Guest Bedroom 2: queen bed

Garage-access door from inside house, fits one vehicle, gas grill, please roll outside to use, beach umbrella, beach wagon, beach chairs, cornhole.

Driveway- Up to 4 cars, room for 1 inside the garage.

Back Yard: screened-in porch with outdoor seating, fire pit.



Rental Policies:

In response to the increased incidence of credit card fraud, a valid government photo ID will be required for every reservation. A signed rental agreement is required: accepting House Rules on any online travel agency requires reading and acceptance of our rental agreement.



Arrival/Departure:

Summer Check-Ins (June-August) begin at 4 pm and are guaranteed by 6 pm

Check Out is by 10 am.

We adhere to this policy, so please do not arrive early or plan to delay your departure.

Pet Policy:  No pets allowed.



We want to make sure you’re aware of our cancellation policy. If you cancel when your arrival date is more than 60 days away, you will receive a full refund.  If you cancel when your arrival date is less than 60 days away, you will forfeit your deposit.



Things To Do:

Oak Island is known for its golden sand beaches, calming blue waters, friendly community, and proximity to the cities of Southport, Wilmington, and Myrtle Beach. There are many cute island coffee shops, stores, breweries, and a park that showcases a splash pad for summer fun! With a beautiful Golf Club open to summer travelers and over 100 public water access points, there is an abundance of all things adventurous to do on Oak Island! 



If you'd like to keep your fitness routine going while on vacation, you can get an out-of-town Gym pass at Oak Island Recreation Center. Utilize the Rec Center's ample parking, put in at the Kayak ramp, and spend hours kayaking our beautiful marshes.  Sit on the lawn and enjoy a night off cooking at our Weekly Friday night "Summer Concert In The Park" with a couple of local food truck options at this family-centric Live Music event. Beach Day takes place in Oak Island on the Friday before July 4th and features all-day activities followed by fireworks on the island that evening.



Visit Historic Southport, a seafaring town just five miles from our island, for a bigger nightlife. Southport, at the confluence of the Cape Fear River and the Atlantic Ocean, features a variety of different restaurants, bars, live music and shopping. It is one of our favorite places to walk around and check out different food and live music on the weekends. There are free parking options all over town, and you can easily walk to dozens of places while enjoying the breeze from the riverfront and admiring historic homes and general store buildings that date back to the early 1800s. Southport's State Fourth of July Festival is a three-day street fair with artists from all over the state, vendors, and food. It is truly like being in an Andy Griffith episode with the parade and grand finale fireworks show over the riverfront in Southport.
