Ein großer Hit mit unserer Familie ist ein 60 "HD-Fernseher im großen Raum, sowie der Komfort eines riesigen Sektionssofas, aus dem Sie Ihre Anzeige auswählen können. Möchten Sie das Spiel stattdessen sehen? Entfliehen Sie in eine Höhle mit einem weiteren Großbild-TV und raumverdunkelnden Vorhängen. Entspannen Sie sich in der Hängematte oder sonnen Sie sich auf den umlaufenden Decks.
Die Betten sind bequem, die Einrichtung ist untertrieben, die Community ist die beste auf den Outer Banks. Das Leben ist gut am Strand und BESSER ALS DER REST IN COROLLA LIGHT RESORT. Beach Parfait wartet auf Ihre Ankunft.

Happy Times for All!

Beach Parfait is attractive, clean, and comfortable and only 1/4 mile from the beach, about at 5 minute walk. I appreciated how thoughtfully organized the house was. The kitchen was generously appointed and organized with labels. Those saved a lot of time and frustration, making sure we put things away in the right place. It was great having fans in the bedrooms. I would recommend putting a ceiling fan on the screen porch. We had a great time and would stay again.

Great family vacation

The property manager Ashley was very prompt and helpful with any questions we had. She is a gem. The resort was wonderful for the family, the beach, pool, shops and restaurants were close and very nice. The the children loved it and the families all had a really great time being together. Great place, AGAIN!

Third time staying here. This time for Thanksgiving and it was perfect. Plenty of room for everyone. Great open kitchen for cooking, nice comfortable rooms and the two floors of decks are just great. Beach is a short walk and 4x4 access is just a short drive. Barbara could not be more accommodating. Everyone had a wonderful time again and we hope to be back soon!

Great house walking distance to pools, beach, playground

We had a lovely time staying at Beach Parfait. The house was clean, conveniently located, and generally had everything we needed. The house is walking distance to the resort’s pools, playground, basketball courts, tennis courts, and beach. It was helpful to have the beach wagon to carry our chairs and pool/beach toys, too! Ashley, the property manager, was responsive when we needed help with the grill—thank you! We recommend printing out the check-out list if you stay with another family just to make sure everyone follows what is asked. We will definitely stay at Beach Parfait again!

Perfect Beach Vacation

Beach Parfait is a wonderful beach house. It has everything you could need for a perfect vacation. Close walk or bike ride to the beach access or pool areas. It's very roomy and charming. Corolla Light has beautiful facilities and location. It's a great place for the kids to enjoy biking. This was a return visit for us and we totally enjoyed it. My adult daughters and their families joined me. We had 5 adults and 5 children and the house was a great size for all of us. The kids were already talking about next year on the way home!

a perfect week at Outer Banks

We loved our stay at Beach Parfait! The house was spotless and welcoming. All the appliances were working well, the washer and drier were new, as was the outside grill, with a full tank of gas. The bedrooms each had their own bathroom, which gave us plenty of privacy. The upstairs gathering room was spacious, with comfortable seating. I would highly recommend this home, to anyone who wants a special week to remember.We will certainly come again. Becki W

No need for a car

The hosts provided it all and pampered us with extras. For instance I don’t have a keurig in my bedroom. And there were endless varied seating arrangements in the many outside areas. And the resort offers so much for every age group, and it’s a short walk (or trolley) to the bakery and the ice cream and the restaurants. Don’t we all eat in that order?Recommend this house and the hosts for your Corolla visit…

The house was nice. Good location.

It was disappointing to have to bring extra things along with us like kitchen towels and soap, hand soap for all of the bathrooms, extra bath towel sets if we didn't want to have to do laundry. I had to bring an extra suitcase for all these things; at least the owner told me in an email that these things would be needed. I think basics like bathroom soap, washcloths, etc. should be provided.

a perfect family beach holiday

We had a wonderful family holiday at Beach Parfait. The location was stellar. The beach is an easy five-minute walk away. There are also playgrounds, sports courts, and outdoor swimming pools equally distant within the neighborhood. You could even walk to the public library or the lighthouse if you were so inclined. The entire house was clean and welcoming. The home was well decorated and friendly, not sterile or hotel-like as I've seen in other vacation rentals. Everyone in our party (8 adults, 1 toddler) had the space they needed both for relaxation, games, and visiting. One of the smaller bedrooms even had blackout curtains that were perfect for my toddler's naps and night time sleep. Each 2nd and 3rd-floor bedroom has direct access to deck. The second and third floor decks make indoor-outdoor living effortless. I loved popping out on the deck in the morning and enjoying the breeze any time of day. And when we weren't quite ready to go outside, my toddler was able to play out on the third-floor deck with the sliding doors wide open while we made breakfast and slowly got ready for the day. The kitchen was well stocked with pots and pans, bowls, silverware, and really anything we needed. The owner reached out to us before our trip and was very responsive throughout our stay and quickly resolved the handful of questions that came up while we were visiting. I highly recommend this property and won't hesitate to rent it again if the situation arises.

What a great vacation!

So many good things to say about this rental! First, the resort is outstanding. There are many scheduled activities, beach chair & umbrella rentals, and storage lockers on the beach if you don’t want to bring gear back and forth each day. The resort was not overwhelmingly large, offered plenty of beach space for each group, and occasionally servers from the on-site restaurant would come around on the beach to deliver food and drink orders. Beach Parfait was perfect for our needs! It had plenty of space, a full bath for each of the 4 bedrooms we used, comfortable beds, was WELL appointed, had 2 huge decks, an awesome grill, and a great kitchen/DR/living room space. The caretakers were very responsive (we called to ask them to repair the broken hinge on the top deck gate and they came out that same day). The only reason we didn’t give 5 stars is because of the AC. The house guidelines said that the top floor would be warm and the bottom floors cool but we found the exact opposite. The top floor was too cold at times and the bottom floors too warm (even with the supplied fans). The thermostats were locked at 69 degrees so we couldn’t make the lower floors cooler. We thought about turning off the AC and taking advantage of the amazing breezes but we couldn’t get the windows on the lower level to open. Otherwise we would definitely recommend this house -- thank you, Beach Parfait!! Some advice for others: 1) Driving in to the resort, don’t listen to GPS if it wants to take you through neighborhood streets; stay on the main road until you reach Route 12 and then head north. The side road traffic was a nightmare on Saturday. 2) Do listen to Barbara’s advice to bring dinner for Saturday if possible. We didn’t go grocery shopping until Sunday and still found the stores to be a bit of a madhouse. 3) Recognizing that every storm is different, don’t be discouraged from visiting during hurricane season. Hurricane Chris parked itself off the Outer Banks during our visit and if you had looked at the weather maps you might have thought our vacation was ruined. In fact the weather was amazing! We saw very little rain until we went down to the Hatteras lighthouse and had some incredibly beautiful days. The only impact was that we couldn’t go swimming for two days because of rip currents (but the resort pool was available instead).

Fabulous late summer family getaway

First trip to OBX and this house made our experience an incredible one. Fabulous walking/ (rental) beach cruising location to beach, decks for meals and family gatherings, spacious open clean kitchen and family room, extra beach chairs and accessories - and excellent communication and responsiveness from host. Wonderful resort community and house perfect for extended family vacation. We will be back (and cannot wait!)

Lovely Big Beach House

This house was beautiful with great yard space, a fantastic location, lots of beds, a well-stocked kitchen, and a very helpful host. Because it’s on a resort there are a few more rules than usual but that wasn’t a problem for us, and the amenities make it worth it. There’s so much to do! The house was a great hangout spot at the end of the day.

Our family house was custom built, and with loving attention to upkeep and upgrades, is new all the time. Beach Parfait is perfect for our family, and we're sure you will love it, too.

Parfait means perfect in French, and you will see French and Gullah influences in the decor and art. One of our dear family friends is a French artist from Provence. We love displaying her work, as well as other original works.

We are a bi-coastal family, and Beach Parfait is the go-to place for us and our friends to reconnect. Here we have celebrated weddings (daughter Carolyn was married on the beach at the end of our street), birthdays, anniversaries, holidays, college reunions, new babies, you name it. Our family now includes four grandchildren, and we enjoy taking them to the beach, pool, and playground, riding scooters and bikes, playing bocce and cornhole in the large side yard, and building memories. Ellie, the oldest, even made up a song for the long, long ride from her house to Beach Parfait (two hours, but to her it seems to take an eternity to get there!).

The third floor great room is our gathering place. We all like to cook, and the kitchen is well-equipped. We look forward to steamer pots and fish on the grill as we drive to the beach. Check out the wave pattern in the backsplash tile, and pieces of beach glass embedded in the recycled quartz countertops.

We are all about comfort, and have paid special attention to the quality of lighting, beds and seating. We recently added a pergola on the ocean side deck, and it is another great gathering place. Cozy up on the massive sectional sofa for games or streaming TV.

We love to travel to foreign destinations, but what we love best is to come home to Beach Parfait. We hope you will come home to Beach Parfait, too.

We have played and raised our families on the Northern Beaches since the 1960's, and had building lots in both the Whalehead community and up in the 4WD country. We purchased our lot in the community of Corolla Light when the first sales sign went up, mainly because of the planned amenities and security of a gated community. The Resort was designed to provide a first class experience from the very beginning. We think it's the same with our house -- the comfort and interiors of a five-star hotel with all the necessities, (without all the tacky beach decor). Corolla Light was at the end of the earth back then, and you still get that feeling of relaxation, although now we have all the modern conveniences. There is free wireless internet, Netflix and Hulu to catch the big game, or a movie, top of the line large capacity washer and dryer, dishwasher and disposer, a Keurig, a double carafe drip coffeemaker, AND a French press , a slow cooker, a food processor, a Vita Mix, a seafood steamer, hot tub, outdoor shower, top-rated Weber gas grill, original art, and plenty of outdoor seating. Shaded by the pergola on the ocean side, the large wraparound deck is the perfect place to have your morning coffee while listening to the waves crash on the beach, and the screened porch is great for al fresco dining. A large native oak tree is just off the porch, so it feels as if you're dining in a tree house! I love listening to the Carolina mockingbirds who nest in a tree across the street.

We are not absentee owners. Since the '60's, we have spent lots of time on the Outer Banks, and made lots of memories here as our children grew up, and had children of their own. We use the house ourselves, don't lock everything away, and work hard at keeping it in tip top shape.

It's important for you to know that our caretakers are experienced locals just a phone call away, should you need anything at all.

Enjoy coffee and the sunrise from our east-facing deck, and a glass of wine for a sundowner in the other direction.

Fall in love again at Beach Parfait. The master suite on the top floor offers a soaking tub. Light a candle and relax in privacy. The mid level master is just a step away from the hot tub, and the ground floor master is the most private of all.

Visit historic Whalehead Club, a private home on the National Register, and say hello to the antique twin beds we donated, which were in our family for decades and just the right style that would have been in the home during its heyday as a private hunting lodge in the early 1900's.

Enjoy the splendid NC Center for Wildlife Education, or the new Boat Museum, stroll quaint Corolla Village (say "YES!" to some BBQ made and sold from the old Corolla Post Office), climb Currituck Lighthouse for amazing views, take long ride bikes on a paved trail paralleling Hwy 12 , or walk for miles and miles on the most pristine beaches of the Outer Banks. Stop by our popular Corolla village public library to make a copy, or send a fax. Check out their selection of great used books. There are lots of fun shops to explore in Corolla Village, and a wonderful Chapel with uplifting services and a mission to serve the young people who come from overseas to work in our stores and restaurants in the summertime. Go off-road to Carova, the northernmost Carolina beaches, and see the amazing wild horses in their natural habitat. Kayak on the sound or the canals. Birders will love the sanctuary.

Play golf at the Currituck Club, pickleball and tennis at Corolla Light's courts.

Don't waste precious time standing waiting around to check in. You can pick up your Corolla Light wristbands at the Sports Center, at your convenience, giving you all access at the Resort. Your ground floor door code will be the last 4 numbers of the phone # you gave VRBO; then just show up with your groceries.
