Coldwater Cove - New Zook Cabin on 19 Acres

Get away from it all at our unique A-frame tiny cabin on Lake Russell. It's the perfect spot to disconnect and enjoy some peace and quiet, nature, and solitude. Our beautiful cabin in the woods has a 0.25 mile, private walking trail to the lake, hammocks, a picnic table, fire pit, grill, and plenty of space to roam and explore. We just added a tandem kayak for our guests to explore the lake! The tiny cabin is perfect for a couples retreat or a family glamping trip. There's room on the lawn for the kids to bring a tent and camp out. Bring your dog along, too!

The Cabin:
Our tiny cabin is 399 square feet and best for a couple or single family (sleeps up to 4). There is a king mattress in the studio room and separate bunk room for the kids. Fully stocked kitchenette with a cooktop, refrigerator, coffee maker, and microwave. Full bathroom with shower. Huge covered porch with dining set and hammocks chairs for guests to relax and enjoy the woods.

The Property:
Coldwater Cove is situated towards the back of a very private 19 acre lot along the Corp of Engineers boundary on Richard B Russell Lake. There are two private hiking trails to the lake and a fire ring for campfires and s'mores. We provide various items; 2-seater kayak, paddles, life jackets, hammocks, etc. Make sure you bring a fishing pole for the crappie, bass, catfish, and bream in the coves. At night, enjoy some great stargazing while listening to the coyotes, owls, and whippoorwills in the distance.

Nearby:
We are only about 5 minutes from Richard B Russell State Park. Arrowhead Point Golf course is a must for golfers and the park also has a large sand beach, hiking trails, boat launch, and Frisbee disc course. Be sure to check out Blue Cielo Farms winery just down the road! It's about a 20 minute drive to Elberton, GA where you'll find restaurants, grocery stores, and other things to do. Athens, GA is around 45 minutes and worth a visit if you need to fill your time on a rainy day.

Our cabin is remote! Cell phone service is non-existent to spotty but we do have Wi-Fi for our guests to enjoy!

Great design, awesome location

We loved staying at this property. The Zook cabin was an amazing, thoughtful design with a giant picture window that made you feel like you were right there in the woods. Glamping at its finest. All of the amenities one could ask for, and more. We enjoyed al fresco meals on the patio, swinging in the rope chairs, kayaking on the tandem kayak, and marveling at the wildlife on the lake. We topped the evening off with dessert by the fire and a cozy movie looking out at the woods beyond. We’ll be back.
