Location is perfect. The room is well outfitted, bed was comfortable and overall the community is dated but nice (as long as you can look past the peeling paint and carpet stains).
Issue #1 - NOISE, VERY LOUD NOISE
Noise and lots of it, starting at 6am. We could not sleep past 6am during our stay because each morning footsteps, rolling carts, stacking furniture and vacuuming on the floor above was so loud - like crazy loud. I am not a light sleeper, I can sleep through music, traffic and barking dogs but this was different. The vacuum sounded like a revving jet engine, rolling carts sounded like crashing cars, stacking furniture sounded like a construction site in your room. It must be the building design or lack of insulation or something... Never experienced anything like it.
Issue #2 - Pools, Hot Tubs and Bathrooms were "Closed For Maintenance"
First, you should know that one of the hottub/pool locations is right off the busiest road in Tahoe. The 2nd location is amazing because it's right off the lake. The problem is that the lake is a 5 minute walk from the unit and was mostly closed. Every morning and evening we made the 5 minute walk to the lake location and only one time during our 4 night stay was it open, and the one time it was open, the associated bathroom was closed. So, when my girlfriend had to use the bathroom after 15 min we had to walk all the way back to our room. By the time we got back to the hottub after using the bathroom it was closed again. So odd.
Overall, I have a hard time recommending this place for anything other than the location. The next time I go to Tahoe I will not be staying here.
