We booked the whole estate and that's the way to do it. Ten bedrooms, every one with its own bathroom, so nobody's waiting on a shower in the morning. The main dining room, the Tasting Room, still has its original pressed tin ceilings from 1889, and it's built for the kind of long dinner you'd bring a private chef in for. Out back is a walled half acre with a heated pool, hot tub and a cedar sauna, We walked to First Street for dinner in about ten minutes and walked home. If you're pulling a group together for a birthday or a reunion, take the whole house.
Our stay at Hennessey Estate in Napa was truly unforgettable! This property is pure luxury, beautifully maintained, and incredibly spacious – absolutely perfect for groups. The grounds are gorgeous, the pool is inviting, and the common areas were ideal for gathering. Every detail was top-notch, and the communication was seamless. It felt like a 5-star resort with all the comforts of home. Highly recommend for an exceptional Napa Valley experience!
Ten of us booked out Hennessey Estate for a long weekend. Having the whole place to yourselves makes it feel more like a private house than a hotel.Every room has its own bathroom so everyone has their own space but the bathroom with the soaking tub was the hot pick. Downtown is about a five minute walk, which we did not fully appreciate until the first night. We ended up walking to dinner every evening and nobody had to think about driving after tastings. We added the breakfast option and it was worth it. Coffee by the pool before heading out ended up being the best part of the day.If you are doing a group trip in Napa, book the buyout.
The check-in process was seamless, and both the grounds and the historic home are absolutely beautiful. I especially fell in love with the historic tin ceiling in the dining room. It adds so much character and charm to the property. The beds are incredibly comfortable, and each room offers a great sense of privacy, making for a relaxing and restful stay. The pool is a fantastic amenity, especially during the summer heat. It’s the perfect place to cool off, unwind, and enjoy a peaceful afternoon. The location is excellent, right in downtown Napa and just a few blocks from many popular restaurants, tasting rooms, and bars. Everything is within easy walking distance, making it a great home base for exploring the area. The host is also exceptionally responsive. Anytime we had a question or needed anything during our stay, we received an almost immediate response. That level of attentiveness made the experience even more enjoyable and stress free.Overall, this was a wonderful stay, and I would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Napa.
We booked the whole Hennessey Estate for our group trip and it honestly exceeded our expectations. Since we had the entire house to ourselves it felt like our own private hotel rather than just a rental. The setup is perfect for a large group. It was so nice that everyone had their own bedroom and bathroom, but the common areas are really where we spent the most time. The living spaces are spacious and beautiful. It has that classic charm but with all the modern updates you actually want. We hung out in the kitchen and lounge areas constantly and it never felt crowded. The backyard was definitely the highlight for us. We spent our afternoons by the pool and our evenings in the hot tub and sauna. It was the perfect way to relax after a day of wine tasting. You really can't beat the location either. We were a short easy walk to downtown Napa and the Oxbow Market which made dinner plans super simple so we didn't have to coordinate a million rides. If you are planning a trip with a big group you should definitely book the full buyout. We are already talking about when we can come back!
We rented the whole Hennessey Estate for my parents' 40th anniversary. Fifteen of us, and nobody had to share a bathroom because every room has its own. If you have traveled with a big family you know how much that matters! The house is old in the best way and has clearly been restored with care. We added breakfast, which I would recommend. Not having anyone cook or clean up meant we actually sat at the table together, and we could enjoy the morning and get right into our day.The kids were in the pool from morning until dinner. We would do it again!
