About the property

Secluded, nestled among trees, on a hill

Relax, Rejuvenate, Renew. Live the Dream!

The American Dream is just that, “a Dream!” Everything about this cabin was designed for relaxation, comfort, peace, and tranquility. You will experience all the comforts of home without the stress of day-to-day living.

When we decided to create a vacation getaway, we had one goal in mind - comfort! This cabin is comfortable. You will be surrounded by 1,444 square feet of tongue-and-groove wooden walls on a single story. It has two master suites, two master ensuites, a huge great room with gas log fireplace, ceiling fans, cathedral ceilings, windows that soar to the roofline, a fully equipped kitchen, full size front-load washer/dryer, whole-house water filtration system, window seat, two huge decks, a porch swing, hot tub, pool table, movies, games, books, charcoal grill, and a telescope for star gazing. The cabin also offers guests free WiFi, Satellite TV, and free local and nationwide calling. Live the Dream!

The Great Room

The great room is the heart of the home, and we think you’ll certainly agree this one is beautiful! Guests enjoy a huge, comfortable leather sofa that beckons movie watchers, or afternoon nappers. This room is framed with endless windows. The great room alone has 20 windows, with some that soar up to the 16’ roofline. Guests can sit on the sofa and watch the “wild” life (and a few animals too). The stone, gas-log fireplace heats up the room and melts the stress away. There’s nothing better than coming in from the brisk mountain-air and sitting in front of a warm fire. The HD Satellite TV is great for watching your favorite TV series, or guests may choose to put a movie in the DVD and enjoy the real-world effect that only HD TV, coupled with surround sound, can bring. A refinished cherry pool table, supported with huge claw footed legs, sits in the middle of the room. The pool table is crowned with an antiqued wrought-iron pool table chandelier that allows the right amount of soft light to flood your game.

The Kitchen

At one end of the great room is a fully equipped kitchen. The kitchen has everything needed for a great meal and then some. Cooks will enjoy spacious solid wood pine cabinets with under-mount task-lighting. The kitchen also has all the bells and whistles every gourmet kitchen should have such as microwave, dishwasher, refrigerator with icemaker and filtered cold water, Cuisinart coffee pot, Keurig Coffee Maker, Oster 14-speed blender, toaster, pots, pans, serving bowls, dishes, cooking utensils, flatware, plates, bowls, glasses, coffee mugs, and wine glasses. The kitchen also features new black Kenmore and Whirlpool appliances.

A massive 8-person Oak farm table with 8 solid wood black chairs provides plenty of space for meals and games. This table screams down-home comfort. It is surrounded by windows that lookout to the front yard. In the name of privacy, the front yard is at the back of the cabin. I encourage you not to think about that one too long; just come experience the creation of privacy this layout provides. At one end of the massive table is an upholstered window seat that sits under a 4-foot picture window that peeps out to the side yard and adjoining woods. Now, that’s, COMFORT!

Located in the center of the tiled kitchen floor is a cute little white island with a butcher-block top that houses some of the cookware and a few decorative wine glasses. Completing the goal of total down-home comfort, is a full-size Samsung frontload washer and dryer. Clothes come out of this washer almost dry, so, the dryer doesn’t have much to do.

Two Master Bedrooms and Two Master Ensuites

One issue my husband and I have experienced when we go with another couple for an adult weekend is “who gets the Master Suite?” Well, in this cabin, both couples get a Master Suite. Both suites are furnished with king-size log beds, with pillow-top mattresses, dressers, mirrors, 27 inch flat-screen TVs with satellite, cathedral ceilings, ceiling fans, jetted tubs nestled under two-story windows, separate showers with massage showerheads, makeup mirrors, a shared blow dryer, a shared ironing board and iron, two small box fans, and private doors leading to the back deck. The back deck has a picnic table, telescope, and hot tub with waterfall and mood lighting. From this location, guests can see the tops of some of the most magnificent deep-purple mountains. Soak away your stress and let the surrounds help you rejuvenate.

Convenience and serenity

American Dream provides seclusion, yet is minutes away from all the attractions of Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg. Guests may want to visit Gatlinburg’s Arts & Crafts community, restaurants, antique shops, fashion shops, ice cream shops, fudge shops, or souvenir shops; good news is—they are all just a short drive away. Guest are also minutes away from nature trails, picnicking areas, rivers and streams, golfing, skiing, and Ober Gatlinburg.

The drive to the cabin will take you on some beautiful tree-covered roads. When you pull into the pole-light lined drive, you will pass the cabin and circle to the front where you will be nestled among trees. Truly, nature at its best. Relax on the front deck and you’ll not see another person. Sit in the hot tub on the back deck and soak in the view of the mountains. Live the Dream!

We can’t wait for you to experience our American Dream.

Why Robin Reeves chose Sevierville

We purchased the cabin for several reasons; but, the most important reasons are: it's secluded, it's large, it's a single story, it has lots of windows, and it's beautiful.

What makes this cabin unique

1) All interior walls and ceilings are tongue-and-groove pine, common areas are open

concept, 16ft. cathedral ceilings, windows in great room go up to roofline (16ft.)

The Great room has a 42 inch TV Flat Screen, Smart TV, with DVD, Surround Sound,

30 + movies and Games.

2) Both bedrooms are Masters with Ensuites that include jetted tubs with showers and

toilets in a seperate rooms. Each jetted tub has arm rests for the most comfort

possible while soaking and reading your favorite novel, or you may wish to lie back

and just Relax, Rejuvenate, Renew. And, that is living the dream.

3) Large front load washer/dryer

4) State-of-the-Art whole house water filtration system

5) DVD player with Surround Sound in Great Room

6) Each bedroom has a 26in. flat screen TV placed high on the wall at the foot of the

bed so guests can lie comfortably while watching their favorite TV series.

7) Two large decks: Front Deck--Swing, Love Seat, Adirondack Chairs. Back Deck--Hot

Tub, Large Glass Cocktail or Picnic Table, Telescope.

8) Hot Tub has a waterfall and mood lighting. It is emptied, sanitized, and filled with

fresh water after each guest(s) leaves.

Good location for getting to hiking trails

  • 4 of 5

The cabin nicely fit our needs. The beds are very comfortable, having two master's was great for sharing with 2 teenage boys. The main room is large and really great for family time. We watched the NCAA Basketball and played pool at the same time. Plenty of room to eat and cook. Dishwasher, washer, and dryer, all good worked well.

There really isn't much of a view. It is private with great porches but you really just look at the woods.

We were able to get to the National Forest in 20 minutes without having to sit in a bunch of traffic.

Good cabin, we stayed for four nights and it fit our needs well.

Gatlinburg's Arts and Crafts Community: The Nation's largest organization of Artisans. Along Route 321, Buckhorn and Glades Roads guests will find 8-miles of specialty shops that offer one of a kind crafts. you'll find handmade quilts, old-fashion hand-woven straw brooms with hand carved handles, pottery, stuffed bears, handmade jewelry, woven baskets, and canvas art of the Great Smoky Mountain Landscapes.

Dollywood Theme Parks (13.8 miles) Since 1986, Dolly Parton and Herschend Family Enterprises have remained partners in Dollywood, Tennessee's most-visited tourist attraction. Dollywood also ranks in the Top 50 most attended theme parks worldwide. The park has more than doubled in size now encompassing 118 acres. An entirely new area, Rivertown Junction, was added for Dollywood's first season. Included in this area were Aunt Granny's-still Dollywood's most-visited restaurant-Dolly's Tennessee Mountain Home; the 450-seat Back Porch Theatre and the Smoky Mountain Rampage. For additional Park information and ticket prices.

Great Smoky Mountain National Park: Ridge upon ridge of forest straddles the border between North Carolina and Tennessee in Great Smoky Mountains National Park. World renowned for its diversity of plant and animal life, the beauty of its ancient mountains, and the quality of its remnants of Southern Appalachian mountain culture, this is America's most visited national park. Biological diversity is the hallmark of Great Smoky Mountains National Park, which encompasses over 800 square miles in the Southern Appalachian Mountains. No other area of equal size in a temperate climate can match the park's amazing diversity of plants, animals, and invertebrates. Over 17,000 species have been documented in the park: Scientists believe an additional 30,000-80,000 species may live here.

Why such a wondrous diversity? Mountains, glaciers, and weather are the big reasons. The park is the largest federally protected upland landmass east of the Mississippi River. Dominated by plant-covered, gently contoured mountains, the crest of the Great Smokies forms the boundary between Tennessee and North Carolina, bisecting the park from northeast to southwest in an unbroken chain that rises more than 5,000 feet for over 36 miles. Elevations in the park range from 875 to 6,643 feet. This range in altitude mimics the latitudinal changes you would experience driving north or south across the eastern United States, say from Georgia to Maine. Plants and animals common in the southern United States thrive in the lowlands of the Smokies while species common in the northern states find suitable habitat at the higher elevations.
