Quail Cottage is a charming, spacious 1 bedroom freestanding cottage, with its own secluded patio and outdoor seating with a wonderful view. The main living room has high ceilings, and lots of light from the large south facing windows, but is shaded in the summer from the sun, by the trees around it. The communal room boasts a full kitchen, dining table and breakfast bar overlooking the patio, has a really comfortable Queen sofa bed (sleeps 2 ) , dvd, netflix, internet and beautiful faux finished walls that go throughout the cottage. The bedroom, also large with big windows, has a king bed, and a queen futon sofa bed for extra sleeping options, and dvd, and netflix. The cottage has a full bathroom with bath and shower, and is decorated in wonderful sea colors. The whole cottage has a beautiful Zen comfortable feel to it.
Quail cottage is situated on a 2 acre property at the end of a lane, parking is free and next to the building. There is a large patch of lawn at the end of the property, with hammock and incredible views, that guests can use, for picnicking and soccer games with the kids. There is a large horse paddock at the back of the property, with 2 horses, Bella is the dun, and Mariah is the grey.
The trails for biking and hiking are right out the door, no need to drive anywhere. Mountain bikers and hikers would love this place. This is a very family and dog friendly place, with lots of space for kids to run around outside. There is a trampoline round the back of the main house.

About Bridget Cardinali
I am a mother of 3, and a Homeopath by profession. I grew up in Africa and England, and settled here 15 years ago. I live in the main house on the same 2 acre property, with my dogs, and kids. Whoever stays in the guest house needs to be dog and children friendly, as we have a free range policy with them, and needs to be ok with a farming environment - (horses, chickens are not free range). I am super busy, so all you may see of me during your stay is my car tail lights as I drive the children to their various baseball , ballet and school activities. I am chief taxi driver, cook and cleaner right now. But I am available by phone. I don't want to impose, so just let me know if you need anything- info or just want to connect. I am around.

Why Bridget Cardinali chose West Sedona
I love this property because it is kind of hidden away , and yet 5 minutes from town and a 5 minute walk to the creek. YOu have the feel of rural with trees all around the house and yard, shading the property in the summer, and the horses over the fence, and the red rocks all around. The hiking and biking trails are right out the door, so convenient to access. Its bike in bike out country.
What makes this Cottage unique
The hidden away quality of this property makes it really special. That we are so close to everything and yet so rural, makes it such a relaxing place to be. Having Oak Creek so close by is a joy, with all its incredible beauty and hiking/biking trails to Cathedral Rock amongst others. We always go swimming there in the summer months. Lying in the hammock on the lawn, and listening to the birds, with the red rocks all around and the pine trees, is pure heaven.! Please note: the above rental is an accommodation within our private home and is not a'vacation home' rental.

Quiet, relaxing, homey
Clean, good vibe.
Quaint cottage with a great vibe
We stayed here with our family of four (mom, dad and two little boys (5 & 7), and it was a perfect fit for our needs. The cottage is next to the owner’s primary residence in a quiet residential neighborhood near Red Rock State Park. The views just driving down to the house are incredible!
As for the cottage layout, there’s a king bed and futon in the extra large bedroom, as well as a pull out in the living area (which I can’t comment on because we never needed to use it). The kitchenette had all the appliances you would need, as well as lots of condiments, etc. The bathroom was pretty big, and the owner provides shampoo, conditioner and body wash if you need it. No issues with hot water or lack of water pressure.
Bridget, the owner, was really friendly and laid back. Our boys played in her yard and enjoyed going to see her chickens. She was also happy to offer suggestions for things to do, or places to eat.
The location was great! It’s close enough to town that it’s not completely inconvenient to run in for a meal, but far enough away that you feel nicely removed from all the crowds and can just relax on the patio. I saw a coyote one morning at the neighbors’ place, and we saw roadrunners on the road near the house. The stars at night are unbelievable!!
One thing to be aware of—we have AT&T cell service and didn’t have service within about 1/2 mile of the house. There is internet, though. Another thing—no washer and dryer in the unit, and with all the red dust, you may want to bring more changes of clothes than usual. It permeates everything!
We had a fantastic time on this trip! The cottage was a great home base as we traveled to Prescott one day and the Grand Canyon the next. I would absolutely recommend this place to anyone! If we head back to Sedona, I would love to stay here again!!
The cottage was cute and quiet. Walking distance to hiking trails and had a wonderful feel to it. Would highly recommend staying here!
The property was exactly what the discription said it was.
This was a great place to stay. We were away from the hustle and bustle of Sedona but could be in town in less than 10 minutes. The cabin was clean and had everything a party of 4 could need. We would stay here again.
Quiet, natural, beautiful location
This was the perfect stay for us. We were looking for a spiritual visit to Sedona and having a beautiful and simple place to stay surrounded by nature in all directions was essential for us. We found that here!
Had a great time.
The cottage was very comfortable and in a great location - away from the hustle and bustle but not too far out of town.
Bridget was very helpful - answered all our questions.
Our only complaint would be the spotty cell phone service but I guess that is to be expected in secluded valley.
Sedona has the most amazing hiking and biking trails, and is a place of incredible beauty. It is only 2 1/2 hours away from the incredible Grand Canyon, and Monument valley and other sites of beauty are reachable by car. The wineries of Page Springs, along the beautiful Oak creek canyon are a must see. While you are here you can also go ballooning , or take a helicopter ride to see the amazing vistas here. or walk the 5 minutes to beautiful oak creek canyon and go for a dip. In the winter Flagstaff's ski mountain is only 45 minutes away and has very reasonable day rates or 3 day rates , if skiing is your thing.
In town (uptown) there are many shops and resorts and healing workshops and modalities to take advantage of.. there is a list of recommended massage therapists and other healing practitioners in the cottage if you are looking for that. there are some wonderful spas to take advantage of , also some recommended in the locals list.
