Overview

About the property

1 bedroom cottage, space for up to 6, close to Oak creek, in heart of Sedon

Quail Cottage is a charming, spacious 1 bedroom freestanding cottage, with its own secluded patio and outdoor seating with a wonderful view. The main living room has high ceilings, and lots of light from the large south facing windows, but is shaded in the summer from the sun, by the trees around it. The communal room boasts a full kitchen, dining table and breakfast bar overlooking the patio, has a really comfortable Queen sofa bed (sleeps 2 ) , dvd, netflix, internet and beautiful faux finished walls that go throughout the cottage. The bedroom, also large with big windows, has a king bed, and a queen futon sofa bed for extra sleeping options, and dvd, and netflix. The cottage has a full bathroom with bath and shower, and is decorated in wonderful sea colors. The whole cottage has a beautiful Zen comfortable feel to it.

Quail cottage is situated on a 2 acre property at the end of a lane, parking is free and next to the building. There is a large patch of lawn at the end of the property, with hammock and incredible views, that guests can use, for picnicking and soccer games with the kids. There is a large horse paddock at the back of the property, with 2 horses, Bella is the dun, and Mariah is the grey.

The trails for biking and hiking are right out the door, no need to drive anywhere. Mountain bikers and hikers would love this place. This is a very family and dog friendly place, with lots of space for kids to run around outside. There is a trampoline round the back of the main house.

This property is a working farm, with dogs and horses, chickens and garden, and kids and all the associated activity, and centrally located for Sedona and hiking biking trails. You get the best of everything here, a rural setting, surrounded by the gorgeous red rocks, hiking out the door, with all the restaurants and shops Sedona has to offer, 10 minutes away.

About Bridget Cardinali

I am a mother of 3, and a Homeopath by profession. I grew up in Africa and England, and settled here 15 years ago. I live in the main house on the same 2 acre property, with my dogs, and kids. Whoever stays in the guest house needs to be dog and children friendly, as we have a free range policy with them, and needs to be ok with a farming environment - (horses, chickens are not free range).

I am super busy, so all you may see of me during your stay is my car tail lights as I drive the children to their various baseball , ballet and school activities. I am chief taxi driver, cook and cleaner right now. But I am available by phone. I don't want to impose, so just let me know if you need anything- info or just want to connect. I am around.

Bridget Cardinali purchased this cottage in 2012

Why Bridget Cardinali chose West Sedona

I love this property because it is kind of hidden away , and yet 5 minutes from town and a 5 minute walk to the creek. YOu have the feel of rural with trees all around the house and yard, shading the property in the summer, and the horses over the fence, and the red rocks all around. The hiking and biking trails are right out the door, so convenient to access. Its bike in bike out country.

What makes this cottage unique

The hidden away quality of this property makes it really special. That we are so close to everything and yet so rural, makes it such a relaxing place to be. Having Oak Creek so close by is a joy, with all its incredible beauty and hiking/biking trails to Cathedral Rock amongst others. We always go swimming there in the summer months.

Lying in the hammock on the lawn, and listening to the birds, with the red rocks all around and the pine trees, is pure heaven.!

Beautiful Cottage in Red Rock Loop Area

  • 5 of 5

This rental is located near one of the most photogenic places on earth and a perfect place to explore Sedona. Not a new place but very comfortable with a small full kitchen in the living area attached to a large bedroom with a very nice king bed and another 3/4 size as well, so good for families with 1-2 kids. Nice patio area in front; the landlady rents another smaller cottage behind her house but there is adequate parking for all. Lots of hiking and biking trails nearby as noted and within walking distance down a secret trail to Oak Creek at Red Rock Crossing which can be very busy on weekends. Good wifi and some TV. When we go back to Sedona we will def be checking this place out.

Thank you Bridgett!

The best experience ever renting a cottage. Peaceful, homey, with everything you could possibly want

  • 5 of 5

The Quail Cottage was the perfect spot for the week I️ spent in Sedona. I️ brought my little dog and he was in heaven as well. I️ live in Manhattan, so the cottage is huge to me. It was beyond fully stocked - there were fresh eggs from the chickens, condiments, delicious freshly ground coffee from a local roaster, all the cooking equipment one could possibly need - there’s even a large smoothie maker. It’s just outside of town - on the way in to town if you’re coming from the Phoenix area & it was so quiet & serene. Bridget was so nice & helpful. I’m so happy that I️ chose this place.

Nice and Quiet.

  • 5 of 5

If you're looking for a relaxing, comfortable and quiet place to call home for a few days...look no further. The 3 of us; wife, dog and me, truly enjoyed our stay. No need to eat out when you can prepare your own meals. The most photographed place on the planet...almost...is a 15 minute walk away, and anything else your adventurous heart desires is within a short drive. No noisy tourists outside your window, no cars, motorcycles or wailing babies breaking the silence...just crickets, your own breath, and an occasional coyote howl. If you venture out at night on foot you may encounter wildlife...like animals, not obnoxious teens. Bring your camera and lots of memory cards!!!

Amazing Stay

  • 5 of 5

The cottage was perfect for a few days of hiking and relaxing. The view as you drive to the cottage sets the perfect mood for a great stay. Bridget stocked the cottage with everything that I needed included fresh eggs and apples. It's amazing to find this secluded, quiet retreat so close to the action in Sedona. This will be my first choice to stay during my next trip to Sedona.

Wonderful Cottage!!

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I had an excellent stay at the cottage. The cottage is located in the best possible place within walking distance of breathtaking trails and short driving distance from all the main local attractions. The cottage was in excellent condition. Our stay was peaceful and relaxing. Absolutely everything we could ask for in an active, relaxing and quiet getaway! We would love to stay here again when we return to Sedona!! Lastly, the host was welcoming and kind to us and our doggies. It is obvious she cares about people and she wants them to enjoy their time in Sedona. Thank you Bridget!!! - Anabela

Car: necessary

Sedona has the most amazing hiking and biking trails, and is a place of incredible beauty. It is only 2 1/2 hours away from the incredible Grand Canyon, and Monument valley and other sites of beauty are reachable by car. The wineries of Page Springs, along the beautiful Oak creek canyon are a must see. While you are here you can also go ballooning , or take a helicopter ride to see the amazing vistas here. or walk the 5 minutes to beautiful oak creek canyon and go for a dip. In the winter Flagstaff's ski mountain is only 45 minutes away and has very reasonable day rates or 3 day rates , if skiing is your thing.

In town (uptown) there are many shops and resorts and healing workshops and modalities to take advantage of.. there is a list of recommended massage therapists and other healing practitioners in the cottage if you are looking for that. there are some wonderful spas to take advantage of , also some recommended in the locals list.
