About Benjamin Farmery

Family of five currently living in Leesburg, Virginia in the Washington DC Metropolitan Area. Three boys ages 11, 9, and 8 years old. Our family has enjoyed IOP for the past several years and we spend 2-3 weeks per year in the condo.

Why Benjamin Farmery chose Charleston Area

Our family has enjoyed the IOP area for the past several years and we chose this property to purchase last year based on the proximity to the ocean, restaurants, shops, etc. Our family enjoys being able to walk or bike to all local attractions and the endless access to the beach.

What makes this condo unique

We love the stunning ocean views from the patio, the live music at Coconut Joe's just outside our condo in the Spring/Summer/Fall, and the convenience of this location to everything a vacationing family could want. We like to park our car and not need to drive anywhere for days at a time.

The condo was the perfect getaway for my family in March. The condo location was perfect and the views from the balcony were beautiful. The condo itself was clean, decorated beautifully, and very comfortable for our family of five. The decor, furnishings, and beds were much nicer and more comfortable compared to other properties in IOP we have rented. We will be sure to return next year!

Beautiful and spacious condo. Perfect location!

This condo was spacious and in a great location! We enjoyed the pool and beach and being able to walk to all the bars and shops. Only 25 mins to Charleston.

We loved our stay. Condo is adorable and spacious. great location!

The pool wasn't as big (deep) as we hoped but that wasn't a big deal. We most of the time had the pool ourselves which was nice. The view was amazing - some of the prettiest sunsets!

Great location, property itself is a little tired

We loved Isle of Palms and the location of this property can't be beat. It was wonderful to be so near the beach and the view is stunning. That being said, The property itself needs a facelift. With all of the taxes and fees, it was over $5000 for the week and it could use a good paint job, new sheets, towels, rugs and so on. Also, the elevator did not work most of the time and we even got stuck in it at one point. We would definitely go back to Isle of Palms, but probably would not stay at this property again.

Owner's Response: Thank you for your review of our property. We are sorry you felt the property was a little tired. We purchase new towels, linens, and bedding each year in March. I have contacted my property manager and cleaning crew to see how these items can feel tired when they are only a few months old. We take great pride in the quality of our furnishings. As for the cost of our condo, please remember you stayed 8 days vs 7 and had two dogs. The extra night plus the non-refundable pet fee added over $850 to your total cost. Your $500 refundable security deposit was returned within 24 hours of checkout. Our condo is competitively priced within the market. Unfortunately, we do have to collect 14% tax in this market place. There is nothing we can do to waive taxes. As well, we apologize for the elevator issues during your stay. Our property management team has since fixed the elevator issues. I know this does not fix what happened during your stay but I wanted to provide you with an update. Thank you again for your comments. We will be sure to take corrective action on all items mentioned to assure our future guests a pleasant vacation. Best Regards, Benj

Perfect location for things to do!

Just What We Needed

This was our first trip staying outside of Wild Dunes at IOP. The location was very convenient and we felt safe. Our rental was as expected and the problems that were encountered were promptly addressed by the property manager -- very impressive response.

The beaches were more crowded than expected but this did not present a problem at all.

The covered deck was our happy place. Even in July, there was a cooling breeze every day.

We hope to return soon. Thanks to the Farmerys and the property manager for being responsive to all our needs before and during our trip.
