The Space:
Our home is conveniently located steps away from a grocery, tackle and variety store that caters to sportsman and shoppers alike, full deli & grocery, gifts, ice, bait beer/wine, and good people. The home is just minutes from beach access, the walking trail at Cedar Wetlands Preserve, and local restaurants and shops. It’s also a short drive to Garibaldi Marina and Barview Jetty, perfect for fishing, kayaking, or coastal adventures. just off Highway 101. Have a fish or crab feast outside, we have all the equipment covered, BBQ, Fish Wash Station (you will have to hook it up to water).
Spacious Living Area
This bright and open home is the perfect place to settle in and relax. The large living room features four comfortable reclining seats, a large smart TV with Xumo streaming box, and plenty of additional seating throughout the main living space, which seamlessly connects to the kitchen and dining area. The open layout makes it easy to gather for movie nights, games, or socializing, and the cozy woodstove adds warmth on cooler evenings (guests will need to bring their own firewood).

Fully Equipped Kitchen
The kitchen is fully stocked with everything you need to prepare meals, including a large island with seating for 3 and a dining table that seats 4. Appliances include a stainless steel refrigerator, ceramic cooktop and oven, microwave, dishwasher, toaster oven, crockpot, coffee maker, and toaster. Cookware, glassware, dishes, and all necessary cooking and eating utensils are provided.
Note: Please do not cook crab inside the home; a large propane BBQ on the front porch is available for outdoor cooking.

Bedrooms & Bathrooms
This home features three comfortable bedrooms designed to accommodate up to 8 guests.
Primary Suite (Back of the Home): Located at the rear of the house, this spacious room features a king bed, a TV for streaming, a chest of drawers, and a pack n play for guests with small children. The adjacent full bathroom includes a tub/shower combo and a small vanity, and is stocked with shampoo, conditioner, body wash, towels, and a hair dryer.
Second Bedroom: This bedroom features a queen bed and a TV for streaming, with a private full bathroom including a shower/tub combo, stocked with shampoo, conditioner, body wash, towels, and a hair dryer. The main bathroom across the hall also has a bathtub/shower combo and the same amenities.
Third Bedroom (Second Level): Accessible via a staircase at the back of the home, this private space is entered through two doors and the laundry room. It features a king bed, full bed, and smart TV, with natural light brightening the room even on cloudy coastal days. At the bottom of the stairs on the main level is an additional full bathroom with a shower stall and small vanity, stocked with shampoo, conditioner, body wash, towels, and a hair dryer.

Laundry & Practical Spaces
The home includes a laundry room with a washer and dryer for guest use. There is also a fish cleaning station for anglers, and a large propane BBQ on the front porch for outdoor cooking. Ample storage is available throughout the home, including closets, drawers, and shelves for personal items and gear.

Pet-Friendly
We welcome up to two pre-approved dogs for an additional $50 per pet fee. Pets must not be left unattended indoors or outdoors, and kennels are available upon request for an extra fee. Please pick up after pets immediately in all outdoor areas. Pets are not allowed on furniture or linens; towels are provided for cleaning pets. The pet fee covers normal wear and tear and cleaning related to pets, but does not cover damage beyond normal use.

Guests have access to the entire home and covered carport and small back yard.

Angler’s Retreat is ideally situated for fishing enthusiasts. Just minutes from Garibaldi Marina and the Barview Jetty, guests have quick access to some of the most productive fishing waters on the Oregon Coast. Charter boats depart nearby for salmon, halibut, and tuna, while shore anglers try their luck for rockfish and surf perch along the beaches and jetty. Crabbing and clamming in Tillamook Bay are local favorites, and after a successful day on the water, guests can return to the home to clean their catch and relax by the woodstove.

Rockaway Beach is a relaxed coastal town on Oregon’s scenic Tillamook Coast, located between the historic fishing communities of Garibaldi and Barview at the northern end of Tillamook Bay. Known for its miles of sandy shoreline, working fishing harbor, and abundant wildlife, the area offers easy access to both the Pacific Ocean and the productive waters of Tillamook Bay.
Just minutes away in nearby Garibaldi, commercial fishermen regularly bring in fresh Dungeness crab, lingcod, rockfish, and other local catches. Sport fishermen gather at the marina and fillet tables swapping stories about Chinook salmon, tuna, and halibut. Kayakers and nature lovers paddle the bay searching for bald eagles, harbor seals, pigeon guillemots, and other coastal wildlife that thrive in this rich marine environment.
Visitors come for the outstanding fishing, crabbing, clamming, and beachcombing, but the area also offers unique attractions such as the Oregon Coast Scenic Railroad depot, local history museums, and scenic coastal viewpoints. The surrounding coastline features dramatic rock formations, birdlife, and miles of walkable sandy beach.
The home at 978 S Harbor St is ideally located about 7 minutes by car from Garibaldi Marina, Barview Jetty Campground day-use area, and the shops, restaurants, markets, and beach access points in Rockaway Beach’s city center. Guests can also enjoy nearby nature walks like the Cedar Wetlands Preserve boardwalk trail in Rockaway Beach, an easy and scenic path through coastal wetlands and old-growth forest that leads to a massive ancient cedar tree.
Centrally located on Oregon’s Tillamook Coast, this property makes a perfect basecamp for exploring the surrounding waterways and beach towns from Astoria to Lincoln City. Tillamook is approximately 15 minutes away, while downtown Rockaway Beach and its miles of sandy shoreline are just minutes from the home.
Getting Around:
The easiest way to reach Rockaway Beach from PDX is by rental car. The drive follows I 5 South → US 26 West → OR 131/Nehalem Highway and takes about 2 hours (95 miles). A car gives you flexibility to explore Rockaway, Garibaldi, Barview, and the surrounding coast, and makes carrying beach or fishing gear simple.
For those who prefer not to drive, private airport-to-coast shuttles are available and take roughly 2–2.5 hours. While more expensive than a rental, they eliminate the stress of navigation and let you relax on the trip to the coast.

We’re happy to share our vacation home and hope you enjoy it as much as we do! Please treat it with care and follow the instructions provided at the home, including Wi-Fi passwords and check-out details.
• The area is busy in the summer, so please be courteous to neighbors and other visitors.
• Crab may not be cooked inside the home, but there is a BBQ and crab cooker in the garage.
• Only registered guests are allowed on the property after 10 PM.
• No smoking anywhere on the property. Violations may result in forfeiture of your deposit and up to $250 in additional fees.
• For stays over 15 nights, housekeeping is required and available for an additional charge every 15 days.
Pet Policy:
• $50 pet fee per dog (up to 2 pre-approved dogs). NO CATS please due to owner allergies
