The cabin is located in a scenic meadow in the Black Hills National Forest. Deadwood/Lead are just 10 minutes away via Hwy 385. We are located 7 miles south on hwy 385 and 1 mile east on big lead hill rd. The cabin is located on a dead end road. This is a great location with no traffic. Black Hills National Forest is 100 yards from cabin. Black Hills ATV trails are close by. In the winter time you can leave from cabin on snowmobiles and jump on and enjoy 350 miles of groomed snowmobile trails. There is gas, food, dinning and fishing with in 1 mile of cabin. Elk, deer and turkeys can be seen from the front deck. There is plenty of parking and you can drive out on snowmobile or 4 wheeler right from cabin.

About Brian and Kodi Callies

We purchased and started building the house on weekends, holidays, and vacation days. Many late nights and early mornings went into this house. Two years later and finally complete our dreams have came together. Living on the east side of South Dakota we decided it would be great to share this blessing with others.

Brian and Kodi Callies purchased this cabin in 2011

Why Brian and Kodi Callies chose Deadwood

The cabin location has allowed us to feel miles away from anywhere, but still only 1 or 2 minutes from gas, food, state hwy, and restaurants. We love hiking, hunting, riding atvs, golfing and snowmobiles.

What makes this cabin unique

There are two decks on house and a walk out basement. You can spend time outside in the sun or shade. There are also plenty of trees on property and still lots of parking.

Gorgeous view, spacious rental

  • 5 of 5

Property afforded a beautiful view of the mountains, and was secluded enough to keep out road noise from the nearby highway. Central to many of the sights the Black Hills have to offer, and the home itself is fully functional with kitchen, 2 baths, and beds for 12 people. Just wish it had cable and internet for the evenings after adventuring. Cell coverage and tv antenna were spotty.

Great place to ride atvs from

  • 5 of 5

Easy access to the atv trails and close to gas and a general store. The house was very clean and quiet. A great place to relax and have a drink at the built in bar after a long day of riding. Easy to park 4 trucks with trailers. Would definitely go back.

Absolutely would recommend this home!

  • 5 of 5

We LOVED this beautiful home! Care takers were prompt to respond with any questions we had prior to our trip regarding the home, and made sure mult contact info was left if we needed to contact them while we were there. The home is in excellent condition, very well maintained, fully furnished, and beautifully decorated. We had 12 in our group and space was not an issue since there are 2 living rooms and a huge back deck. The views off the back deck were gorgeous and very scerene. Lots of animal wildlife could be seen. The area surrounding is very quiet with few homes that are not right next to each other which is great for privacy. It is the perfect mountain home escape after all the sight seeing is done. Loved being able to come back to the house and cook our own dinners instead of having to eat out. Beds were comfortable and plenty of towels and blankets are available. We would absolutely recommend this home and come back if we ever visit the beautiful Black Hills again. Thank you!!

Snowmobile trails can be accessed 1 mile away by unloading at the cabin.

If you enjoy riding ATV's, there are trails close by.
