The Space:

This roomy beach home is the perfect spot for your next destination getaway. With an open deck for soaking up sun and star gazing, you can indulge in witnessing all of the nature surrounding you while sipping your morning coffee or evening cocktails. For rainy or too-hot days, the covered patio under the house provides the perfect location to relax and gather for respite. Inside, the home offers plenty of space and seating for various activities, and the fully-equipped kitchen has everything you need for whipping up all your favorite meals and snacks. For a little privacy, or winding down at the end of a busy day, sink into comfortable beds and enjoy the TV and ceiling fans provided in the bedrooms. Grill out on the deck or swing lazily on the tree swing; there's no shortage of fun. Only blocks away from the beach, your days will be fun-filled in the surf and sand. There are also so many other things to do, from touring the environmental center with interactive displays and live-animal exhibits to hiking or walking and shelling (there are even wheelchair-accessible trails), to fishing along the pier, or launching a boat into the Big Bat Creek. Of course, take advantage of all the local shops, boutiques, and eateries.

Comfortable House in a Great Location

This is a great choice for an easy going family vacation. This home has a comfortable, beach cottage vibe. Rent a golf cart to explore the island like the locals do. The beach access is just a couple of blocks away, and restaurants and shopping in town are a fun and easy drive.

It was just the two of us first rime on the island. We came for the house tour. The house was comfortable and clean close to everything we needed. I loved the books about the island at the house. We will definately be back with the family this summer.

Happy place vacation!

Happy place was a great place to stay while at Edisto. It was well within walking distance to the beach on a quiet road. The furnishings were clean and appeared fairly new. The only thing I would change would be to move the picnic table up to the back porch. The porch surroundings were beautiful with the live oak and spanish moss but there was no table to enjoy a meal. Definitely would stay here again.

Refreshing at our happy place at Happy Place!

Edisto is our perfect, happy place and Happy Place was the perfect place to stay for our family of 5’s Spring Break trip. It’s got all the feels and charm of the throwback Edisto beach house regarding size and layout but it has also recently received a refresh of paint, floors and furniture. We enjoyed walking distance to Whaley’s, the public tennis courts and only a few streets over from the best Ocean side beach access (31) for sunsets. This was a great find on VRBO particularly as we were able to rent it for part of the week, an option not offered directly by the larger management companies online.
