Nearing retirement, we wanted to have a warm winter getaway. We love Hawaii but wanted to be away from the hustle bustle of Honolulu. I used to Surf and we were beach people when we were younger. The Northshore was the place!
We love the first floor, there is always a cool breeze, we rarely use the air conditioner because we are insulated by the upper floor. We love to walk to the beach by the hotel or to our special hideaway, Kawela Bay.
It was hot when we were there but this condo was amazingly cool. We used the air conditioner very little. I guess it was because we were on the ground floor, yet we heard little noise from upstairs. Being close to the pool was great and we loved the almost private beach the owners suggested. We are coming back!
Aloha, C&A
Bathrooms were completely brand new. Kitchen had obviously recently received new cabinets, counter and appliances. Fresh linens and towels, carpets were clean. The first floor location was very convenient to the pool, parking and golf course. We didn't hear any others from inside the condominium. We could hear people who were outside sometimes. The screened in lanai was very comfortable and private for that morning coffee while gazing out to the garden, golf course and mountains beyond. This was a great condominium at a great location on the island at the Turtle Bay Resort.
Loved our stay, everything worked perfectly. Great place to vacation.
The Turtle Bay condos are perfect for people who like to stay away from the city, who like cooking for themselves, and who need to do laundry often while on vacation. This condo is comfortable and simple. There is a family upstairs who live there and can be a little loud. They also swear at each other a lot. That’s the only unfortunate criticism we have for the place. It is otherwise good for families and the pool is heated and beautiful. Thanks for a great stay!
We stay at Turtle Bay condos several times a year. Our condo was well equipped with everything we needed for our extended stay. Cleanliness is a major issue for me with some of these older units, but this condo has been well maintained. Owner and manager were responsive to any and all questions. Thank goodness for the air conditioner and fans because summer months can be quite warm with the sometime non-existent trade winds. Would not hesitate to rent this condo again on return trips.
Whether you are looking for an escape to some peace and quiet or a base of operations to tour the many wonderful spots on the north shore, this is a great location and rental. The owners and caretakers were helpful and everything was as described...convenient, clean, updated, well-maintained and comfortable! We were looking for a spot to come back to year after year and we have found it!
The kitchen is poorly lit for cooking both night and day. The fan in the master bath makes the most off putting sound it's hard to be in there long. Loved the location and view from family room.
