Cedar Lodge is a gem. It is a wonderful place to rest, relax and enjoy Seneca Lake. The views were spectacular. It is also an awesome place to kayak. Cedar Lodge is the quintessential summer cottage, quaint and cozy but with modern amenities. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay!

Perfect spot in area to explore everything the FLX area has to offer! Enjoyed watching the osprey hunt, sunrises/moonrises on the water and relaxing right on the water! Well stocked and cute cabin with a SUP that I loved when lake was calm. Great local food and of course wineries! Appreciate Darlene sharing her Cedar Lodge with us!

Let me just say how satisfied we were staying at the Cedar Lodge. Our host, Darlene was wonderful and even got to meet her at Fox Run vineyards. She helped up find another gem on Lake Ontario, Chimney Bluffs. That wasn't part of the plan, but it made the trek up there that much more special. Now, onto the Cedar Lodge. Clean, clean, clean...organized, charming are the words that come to mind. The lake was literally 20 feet from the deck door. We actually did spend a lot of time at the lodge cooking, kayaking, and just taking in Seneca Lake. I would highly advised others to check this place out and make it your away from home for a couple of days.We will be back and will spread the word about this residence. Thanks,Chad & Yvette

We absolutely loved this place! It was very quaint, super clean, cozy and oh so very comfortable. We couldn’t wait to come back after a day of sightseeing to sit on the porch with a glass of wine and look out over the lake, watching the seagulls swirl overhead. Our biggest regret was having to leave this little slice of heaven.

We had the pleasure of actually meeting our host, Darlene. She was very welcoming and made sure we had everything we needed for our stay. Cedar Lodge was just what we were looking for for a 4-night stay. We saw a beautiful sunset and a beautiful sunrise and enjoyed the view of Seneca Lake from the lodge when it was too cold for us to hang out on the dock. The location was perfect for day trips to area wineries, Watkins Glen State Park, and other local attractions.

Great Place to Stay on The Lake

We purchased a weekend stay as a gift for my parents. They had never vacationed at VRBO property so they were a bit nervous about their stay. The owner was extremely kind and helpful throughout the process, even when we needed to reschedule. Thank you Darlene for your wonderful hospitality.

This property has been owned by one family and I am the 3rd generation to own it. My grandfather cleared the land and built it in 1945. He picked each field stone that makes up the beautiful fireplace. This cottage is one of the last original cottages at Kashong Point. It is a quiet and relaxing location. The beach and front porch are the best places to relax with a book and/or a beverage. I live a 1/2 mile away so any questions or issues can be dealt with quickly.

Why they chose this property

LOCATION, LOCATION, LOCATION. Once you've picked up your groceries in Geneva from Wegman's there is no reason to leave unless you want to go and visit a winery, brewery or State Park. There is a gas station near by with a small grocery store for missed items.

What makes this property unique

Kashong Point has a private road which loops around and is a great place to walk, run or bike on. As you can tell by the pictures the land is very level and there are only a few steps to get in and out of the cottage. The There are 30+ pieces of property that make up Kashong Point. Kashong Creek borders one side of the Point and is a great place to hike to 3 picturesque waterfalls. There is a nature preserve near as well for some great walks.
