Wonderful experience

  • 4 of 5

The views are the best on the island, you just can't get a better sunset. While I've been renting the house for a long time there have been many badly needed updates and repairs done to the house. However, having said that there are many more that must be done. The large soda in the living room had a cigarette burn on it, additional one was found on a blanket in the bedroom with the bathroom. When we arrived the family prior to us must have loved toast because the kitchen was filled with crumbs. My daughter-in-law spent her initial time cleaning up the kitchen. The mattresses are horrible, they must be very old. I usually am not effected by mattress quality, but my back was hurting all week.

Again, the house has many wonderful memories for us, hoping they continue to make more improvements. It's a wonderful house that is a bit tired.

Awesome sunsets

  • 5 of 5

Great ,quiet, private, roomy family retreat. Weathered, but very comfortable and well equipped. The pool table was a nice diversion for those rainy days. The dock was a perfect backdrop for family photos at sunset. Awesome view of the bay. 3 blocks to the beach, good restaurants and shops. We loved this place!

Perfect!

  • 5 of 5

Very fun beach house - we came for the dock as we have a boat. But the pool table and large house made this a great vacation house. Very laid back, quiet part of Ship Bottom, buy walking distance to shops, restaurants and banking. Perfect spot for a vacation.

Lots of space, good location!!

  • 4 of 5

We rented this house between two families. Their are two good size bedrooms with queen size beds. The third bedroom had 2 double beds and bunk bed (plenty of room for 6 kids, although we only had 4). The house is bit outdated but that is more than offset by other things. There is lots of space on the main floor. There is full kitchen, a large family room with a table big enough for 8-10 people, a smaller den, and the billiard room! And there is AC!! And for those who are wondering, although the house is a bit outdated, it was very clean.

Additionally, there is a large deck and dock and two kayaks. We loved being able to kayak, enjoy breakfast on the deck, crab & fish off the dock. Almost every night, we sat in the backyard to watch the sunset.

The beach is 3 blocks away, not difficult at all to walk to the beach. The house comes with 4 beach passes. If you need more, you can buy them right on the beach.

We enjoyed some of the walkable things too. We could walk to ice cream, Bageleddis (a local bagel shop) and Bisque (a nice restaurant). We loved to walk in the morning, specifically down Bay Terrace Road that leads to a small but nice bay-side beach called Sunset Point. It is great spot to take small children (there is a playground too) or just have some peaceful beach time. We saw a lot of folks enter the water to do paddle-boarding.

Overall, really enjoyed the house and the location. Would definitely recommend it!
