This quintessential one-bedroom Yachats vacation rental is sure to enchant its guests with a picture-perfect getaway to the Oregon Coast. Nestled in a secluded woodland area and only steps away from infinite ocean waves, this darling cottage is ideal for a romantic excursion or relaxing solo retreat.
This endearing home embodies Yachats' affectionate nickname, the "Gem of the Oregon Coast." Explore the beautiful, uncrowded beach only 75 yards from the front door, or journey three and a half miles south to downtown where you'll find restaurants, the Green Salmon Coffee House and a handful of galleries to browse. Farther south is the Cape Perpetua Scenic Area where you can stare out over an 800 foot viewpoint at rugged coastline and panoramic ocean views. Newport is about 20 minutes north with all the assets of a larger city and the renowned Oregon Coast Aquarium!
Tucked among trees, you will be charmed by this cottage's gingerbread house exterior with wooden siding and red trim. Once you step inside, you will feel right at home in its cozy interior filled with comfortable furnishings and cheerful decor.
The living room is a snug place to relax after an exhausting day of exploring the coast, and there's a comfy spot for everyone with two plush recliners and a sofa. Choose from the selection of VHS tapes provided for your enjoyment and settle down in front of the TV for a movie night. A DVD/Blu-ray player and cable are included, plus you can use the Smart TV to log into your personal Netflix account. There is also an assortment of board games, so during stormy evenings spread out on the rug for endless entertainment or use the wireless Internet access to catch up on your email.
The living room opens into the kitchenette that features all the major appliances and cooking utensils you require to satisfy your culinary needs. A refrigerator, stovetop/oven and microwave are at hand for mixing ingredients and preparing delicious cuisine. A coffee grinder and coffee maker are included for brewing delicious cups of your favorite morning beverage. A cute wooden dining table seats four and although there isn't a dishwasher, you can always let the mess soak while you enjoy a sunset from the back deck.
When the sun is shining, plan a picnic-style lunch on the back deck. It's a perfect nook for relishing a few chapters of your favorite book, or writing reflections in a journal. Pick up fresh seafood while you're in town and bring it back to prepare on the grill. There's even an outdoor fire pit for roasting marshmallows and making s'mores for dessert. When you're in the mood to dine elsewhere, The Drift Inn is a favored spot with a tasty menu and live music most evenings.
Dogs are also welcome (though a nightly fee per dog and minimum fee per stay will apply).
Spend your days beach combing, watching for whales from shore or just relaxing in the sunshine on the deck. This precious oceanside cottage will captivate its guests with an unforgettable stay.

About Vacasa, OR - Oregon Coast Office
Thanks for considering a Vacasa home! We provide full-service management for privately owned vacation homes, and like to think that we offer our guests the best of both worlds: the unique experience of staying in a one-of-a-kind vacation home, with the peace of mind that comes from knowing that the home you book for your special vacation is cared for by professional housekeepers and property managers.

Vacasa began in 2009, simply because our founder and CEO Eric wanted to find a better way to share his wife’s family’s summer home in Long Beach, Washington with guests as a vacation rental. Eric and his early team worked to build Vacasa on the premise that local employees can do what they love most (taking care of guests, homeowners, and properties), while the hands-off tasks of vacation rental management—things like marketing, filing taxes, and maintaining a website—could be handled by a specialized central support team.

Our passion is connecting travelers with the unique experience of staying in a vacation home, and we would be honored to be your host. Please contact us with any questions about this home—our team is standing by!

Clean and tidy, a short walk to the beach. Good central location for exploring the coast from Newport to Florence.
Wonderful private cabin
Access to the beach was fairly easy. The cabin was clean and we'll stocked, except for frying pans. We bought some at the Lyons Thrift Shop and left them. The yard and cabin were private and surrounded by trees & ferns. We had a great time there and in Yachats!
Cozy little cottage
Cozy little cottage that has everything you need for a weekend getaway. Has a little trail back to the beach and a wonderful backyard/deck area to use in nice months. I will definitely go back again.
Best of two worlds
This little cabin is a great spot for a couple or a couple plus one toddler. It combines the allure of the ocean with the coziness of a wooded retreat. The property is cozy, quiet and has a yard for a little one to run off energy. The access to the beach is a short walk down a trail. The only thing that could have made it better is an ocean view.
Clean & comfortable!
We had a great time. The place was clean and very nice for a couples get away. A lot of the things we forgot to bring were there. We will definitely be coming back!
Cozy cottage for a fantastic stay!
This is the 2nd time my family has stayed here. The cottage is always clean, comfortable, and a fun! The small additions of board games and movies make family time special. I wish there were better instructions on how to get the DVD/VCR working, we struggled with that. It would also be nice to have a basic staple of oil or PAM for cooking (something commonly forgotten when packing). Be aware of a little dog hair - one of the expectations as this is a dog friendly cabin. Nothing that felt unclean, just noticed it this time more than last. Those with dogs understand how hair can get everywhere despite following the "no dogs on the furniture" VACASA rule! But those with allergies will want to remember their medicine. Overall, just as fantastic as before! Cheers to many more stays!
