High Ceilings and Large windows make this home a place where the weight of the world fades away.
There is one bedroom with a queen bed as well as two queens size sleeper sofas (with a gel mattress) in the great room. A great place for two to six for a fun weekend.
My 'Girly Industrial' house theme is expressed in the pink accents, hand painted black peonies on the heated grey concrete floors to the truss joist with car-decking for the ceiling creating a loft like space.
I put in 'old lady' steps to easily get into the water off the dock so more are able to enjoy the lake on a hot day.
My house is designed for accessibility no curb for the shower 36 inch wide doors and it is all on one level. I brought my friend who is in a wheel chair for a weekend and she was happy to be so independent. For further details please call.
I am not always at a computer ( I am somewhat of a luddite) so my response time is not instant. I am at my computer on Mondays. Please feel free to call if time is of the essence. 206 371 6878. that is the best way to reach me.
I am an interior designer based in Seattle since 1975.
In 2009 I designed and had my house built fulfilling a life long dream of designing and building my own home. I tease my clients that I have had years of practice on them when they see my house and like it.
I love my house and I enjoy sharing it. A few years back I did VRBO with my place in the city and it was such a wonderful experience meeting people I am looking forward to opening my home once again.
Jennifer Randall purchased this house in 2009
I grew up on the lake ( I lived across Lake Samish Drive up on the hill from this house) where my family still lives. You will know it is their house when you see all the crazy sculptures in the yard my dad makes. They have lived at the lake since 1962.
I always dreamed of building a custom house on this slip of land that is my families access to the lake. I have been sketching for decades. So what you see is result of budget hitting dreams and shaking down into a comfortable relaxing place to be.
I grew up using the dock, swimming, skiing, and enjoying the lake however the first time as an adult I sat still and looked up the lake I felt the serenity of the view wash over me and I knew I wanted to live here.
So I have brought my precious things, my piano, art and Kitchenaid mixer (ha ha) to a space I can enjoy in anticipation of creating a place to retire. Until retirement I will share it with others and hope they can have a little piece of my dream for themselves.
This house was perfect for our trip to Bellingham. It's a beautiful space with a gorgeous view. The kitchen had everything we needed, the beds were comfortable, and it was nice having a washer & dryer. It's a short drive into Bellingham and an easy jumping off location to Seattle, Vancouver, and Mt. Baker. We would love to come back.
Jen is such an accommodating host & her place is absolutely perfect. The lake is beautiful and peaceful.
This place is gorgeous and well maintained. It is near enough many sights to see and things to do, yet off the beaten path.
The view of the lake is breathtaking night and day. The house is beautiful.
This is our (my bride and I) second visit to this lovely lake house and we have every intention of returning again and again. The house is the perfect size for a romantic getaway with all of the special amenities and finishing touches of a high-end hotel. The house feels private and secluded with lovely and peaceful views of Lake Samish. The house is furnished and decorated with great care and (obviously) a professional eye. The kitchen, bathroom, and bedroom were fully stocked, all the details seemed to have been considered. The house was clean and in perfect repair upon our arrival. And, of course, with Bellingham nearby, there are plenty of activities, breweries, hikes, stores, attractions, breweries, movies, and breweries to keep you busy during your stay. Jen was always accommodating, quick to respond to text and answer any questions we had. We will definitely be back.
Enjoyed a long-weekend here 2/17-2/20.
This home is graciously stocked with everything you need. Bedding is extremely comfortable. Setting is peaceful. Jen is a kind host with a tasteful eye for art. You will love your stay here. Heated floors a wonderful touch!
We loved our long weekend / Thanksgiving holiday stay at Jennifer's place. Some of the nicest aspects are the open living space with views of nothing but the lake, fairly well-stocked kitchen, modern aesthetic, heated concrete floors, and great rain shower. The garage door / front of the house gave our pup a great view of the outdoors--she sat and watched out those windows for hours on end. It was a really rainy, stormy weekend, but this was a nice, cozy place to spend it. Excellent proximity to downtown Bellingham and Fairhaven, just a quick drive away. You arrive through a trailer park so that surprised us a bit, but once you're at the house it's extremely private. We look forward to staying here again!
