Roomy and comfortable with a private yard, pool and heated spa, it's the ideal location to return "home" to after exploring the area's finest wineries, beaches, restaurants, boutiques and hiking trails. Relax and unwind while enjoying expansive views across the entire Lompoc Valley. The house is conveniently located near the Lompoc "Wine Ghetto," a unique wine tasting experience which allows you to sample wine from dozens of boutique wineries, all within walking distance of one another. Buellton, Solvang, Santa Ynez, Los Olivos and Los Alamos are quaint small towns located just a short drive away through vineyard-covered hillsides. For the aerospace industry, the house is under 20 minutes drive to most sites on Vandenberg Air Force Base for contractors' convenience. Central to Santa Barbara and San Luis Obispo, you can easily day-trip to both with approximately one hour drives on Highways 1/101...both with breathtaking coastal views.

The house features 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms, all with large closets, as well as, a large eat-in gourmet kitchen, living room, formal dining room, family room and separate laundry room. Back yard has view of natural hillside/canyon and is very private with redwood decking, two dining sets, lounge chairs, gas barbecue and pool/spa. Gas heat to entire pool is available upon request and considered an extra charge.

This home would be ideal for extended families or several couples wishing to enjoy the beauty of Western Santa Barbara County with easy access to the entire Santa Ynez Valley and Santa Barbara. It also offers the benefits of a "home-away-from-home" for contractors working in the area or snowbirds looking to escape chilly northern latitudes. About Jeanne Wilson

The house was custom built by the owners and is full of many decades of family history. It is a wonderful, warm entertaining space, and for the past three years, the family has greeted guests from many parts of the world! Ideal for Snowbirds, small family reunions, accommodations while visiting for a wedding, couples' get-away, small wine tasting tour groups, foreign travelers looking for a relaxing stop between Los Angeles and San Francisco, as well as, corporate use in conjunction with Vandenberg Air Force Base and much more.

Lompoc and the Santa Rita Hills are hidden gems in Santa Barbara County, and this home is a surprise to many with its impressive views of the city from the front and hillside chaparral from the back. It is walking distance to Old Town Lompoc but has a country-like feeling. There is ample space inside of the home and also a private yard with a pool with hillside views. Should you choose to venture out, there are dozens of wine tasting rooms, vineyards, beaches and hiking trails within minutes of leaving the home.

What makes this house unique

The homey atmosphere is perfect for unwinding after a busy day! There is plenty of room for 2 families or several couples. In the "off-season", our pricing is lower for smaller groups of up to 5 people. Perfect for a weekend get-away or to make an extended stay so much more comfortable! We welcome Vandenberg AFB contractors and "Snowbirds" looking to escape cold climates for our mild Central Coast fall and winter weather.

    Master Bedroom - 1 king , Ensuite bath & walk-in closet.
  • Master bedroom has king size bed and private bathroom with walk-in shower and double vanity. Three additional bedrooms include 2 with queen beds, and one with 2 twin beds. A large hall bath with shower/tub combo and double sinks is close to all of the bedrooms. There is a twin size roll-away bed stored in closet which is available for larger groups, plus plenty of extra linens. For large groups, many guests find the large sectional sofa to be a comfortable sleeping option. The third bath is near to family/living areas and also has a walk-in shower. Off-peak rates start at $350 for up to 5 people using choice of 3 bedrooms. Holiday/Summer rates include 4 bedrooms and up to 8 people, with additional charges applying to more than 8 up to a maximum of 10 people. Winery tours and tastings may be arranged in advance. House is close to several beaches, many hiking trails. The drive to to Santa Barbara, Santa Ynezor San Luis Obispo are all an easy hour or less. We are very happy to make recommendations of things to see and do in the local area. Lompoc is ideal as the CENTRAL spot to enjoy all of the CENTRAL COAST of California!

Beautiful house with grand views. Close to a lot of central coast attractions.

We loved, loved, loved the property! The house is meticulously maintained with lots of little details (family photographs, model aircrafts).We loved the Christmas Tree that they put out for us along with little gifts for the group. The view from the living room is captivating. Bedrooms and bathrooms are spacious and clean. Despite all the central coast attractions (wineries, Solvang, Jalama beach, Hearst Castle) within an hour or so from the house, the house itself turned out to be the highlight of our trip!

A wonderful Thanksgiving

Valley Vista home was a wonderful place for our family to gather from across the country to celebrate Thanksgiving. It is a beautiful home in a beautiful place, and the owners were welcoming and quick to respond to our questions. We especially appreciated the large and well-equipped kitchen, which made cooking Thanksgiving dinner together fun.

Friendly and welcoming

We had a wonderful stay - the house was perfect. Welcome care package with local goodies was awaiting us at check in - it was a nice touch and very yummy, a perfect start to our stay. The owners were great with communication and the stay went smoothly. We enjoyed the pool which not a lot of other properties in the area have. Overall a wonderful stay and we will recommend the home to others.

Spacious home with all the amenities. Perfect for celebrating Norma's 80th with our family.

The younger folks especially enjoyed the pool and used it a lot. Hand rails in the showers would have made us older folks feel more secure.

Beautiful

This is a beautiful home! It is spacious, very comfortable, and even more beautiful than the pictures show! Lompoc has everything you need from shopping to wineries, and it is close to many of California's gorgeous central coast beaches. Jeanne is wonderful and readily available to answer questions or help in any way. My family had a great vacation and we look forward to coming back! I would highly recommend this vacation home.

This extremely spacious home and yard with pool, heated spa and water slide are ideal for a wine tasting weekend or small family gatherings, as well as, longer stays for Snowbirds or Contractors! We offer use of 3 or 4 bedrooms to tailor the house to your group's needs. There are beds to sleep 8 in the 4 bedrooms, but in quieter travel months, we offer slightly lower rates to smaller groups by allowing you to choose to use fewer than 4 bedrooms.

Only minutes from the Lompoc Wine Ghetto and a short drive to many world class wineries in Sta Rita Hills AVA and Santa Ynez Valley. The La Purisima Mission State Park is of historic interest and also provides many walking/hiking trails. Centrally located on the Central Coast between Santa Barbara and San Luis Obispo.

During peak periods, the rate is based on maximum of 8 people/use of all 4 bedrooms. There is a charge of $30 person/night for additional people to a maximum of 10 people on any given night. During non-peak periods, the nightly rate is slightly lower but is based on a maximum of 5 people with an extra person charge of $25 per person/per night. Heating of the spa is included in the standard price; HEATING OF THE ENTIRE POOL IS AN EXTRA CHARGE AND IS TYPICALLY NOT AN OPTION DURING WINTER MONTHS.

Owner's Cancellation Policy

  • 100% refund if canceled at least 60 days before arrival date.
