Beautiful, Well-Appointed River-Front Home

  • 5 of 5

This is the rare vacation house which has *EVERYTHING*. Our family was able to cook a full Thanksgiving meal there! The house is well maintained, and the views of the river are gorgeous. This house is a gem.

Fantastic place! Right on the river. So relaxing

  • 5 of 5

Place was even better than the pictures. First time in Bend. Too much to do here if you like the outdoors (hikes, rafting, biking, etc). Came with our two teenage kids and let them each bring a friend. My son and daughter said one of best vacations ever. And we all loved this special place on the river. We want to cone back some time and stay here again.

Amazing River Setting

  • 5 of 5

My family and I had an incredible summer vacation in Bend, largely in part to this perfect house on the river. It fit 2 families with a total of 4 kids perfectly! There was plenty of space for kids to run around, they loved playing in the yard outside & cooling off their toes in the river.

We enjoyed BbQ-ing for dinners out on the patio. Kids fit perfectly for breakfast eating at the kitchen peninsula. Loved the open concept layout inside the house. It was clean, well maintained, and fully supplied. The location was perfect too (Google maps got me there just fine). Before we arrived I was slightly concerned that we would be too far from downtown Bend, but it was so easy driving everywhere- 10-15 minutes at most- to get downtown. Turned out it was perfectly situated in between downtown and Sunriver area, so you were never driving too far to do what we wanted to do. It was wonderful to come back to this peaceful setting after a busy day of exploring.

We did everything from tubing & kayaking down the Deschutes river, toured wild lava caves with Wanderlust tours, hiked, played golf, did the Paulina Plunge bike tour, and explored the many breweries. Loved Crux Brewery and Worthy Brewing, & Chow for Breakfast/lunch, Pizza Mondo, Planker Sandwiches, Bonta for gelato. Brewfest was well worth it also.

But still my most favorite thing was waking up early (thanks to time change), sitting out on the patio with my cup of tea, and listening to sounds of the river every morning.

We did not want to leave!! Thank you for an incredible vacation that went off without a hitch.

We would definitely come again!

Peaceful retreat

  • 5 of 5

Perfect spot for our family reunion. Loved the deer wandering through the back yard early in the morning. Debbie was kind enough to add the tennis channel to the cable lineup for our visit, as Wimbledon was on and my English Mum loves to watch. And Andy Murray won!

Great summer trip to Bend

  • 5 of 5

Stayed here nearly two years ago (July 2014) and it was awesome! Posting a review now because I was just daydreaming about my time there. We stayed there with a group of friends for our annual get together and the property was gorgeous. The pictures give a good representation of the property. It's right on the river and pretty secluded. There is a neighbor close by, but they were respectful to us while we were there.

The only downside to our stay was that the BBQ wasn't functioning properly and the hot tub was under repair. Otherwise, it was a great time. The only downside to the house is that it's a bit far from downtown Bend. We stayed there before the days of Uber/Lyft, so cab rides were about $20 - $25 to downtown Bend. But it's a trade off for the location, i.e. proximity to the river, secluded etc.

The owner is also really cool and responsive. We hope to stay there again sometime.

Great Family Trip!

  • 5 of 5

Stayed here for three days with family over the holidays. The house is just a few feet from the Deschutes River, and enjoys a fantastic view.

The house was clean, comfortable, and larger than we'd anticipated with an open floor plan perfect for three families to hang out.

The driveway is steep, so when it snowed, only vehicles with 4 wheel drive could make it up and down the slope. This wasn't an issue for us, but something to consider for others. The owner does have a plow service to remove most of the snow. It makes a great sledding hill!
