Comfortable, peaceful

We loved our stay at the sheep ranch! Jim is very nice, and he is full of good recommendations, like one of the hikes we did in Vallecito. The cabin was very comfortable, and the setting was peaceful and serene. The property is more accessible to Durango and Vallecito than we had anticipated, and we enjoyed the drives through the beautiful hills. Our daughter loved playing in the loft and feeding the sheep. We hope to return!

Wonderful Place, Wonderful Hosts - We will be back again!

  • 5 of 5

I stayed here for several days as a base for a working vacation. I was pleased my Verizon HotSpot worked and I was able to get some tasks done in a peaceful and relaxing work environment, which let me get away to do some sightseeing and visiting with family. Jim & Linda were the perfect hosts and shared their experience and stories about this beautiful place with me and my daughter.

The cabin was perfect! Comfortable bedding, clean and neat, a properly supplied kitchen and bath with the most wonderful front porch, where I had my breakfast every morning and also a great office during one day.

Thank you so much for your hospitality and I truly hope to be able to return, many more times!

Very clean and Satisfactory

  • 4 of 5

Enjoyed the stay. Jim and Linda are nice folks and care about making your stay a nice one. The cabin was very clean and comfortable. Perfect for two adults, a little cramped for three. Very convenient location. My only complaint/recommendation is that Wi-Fi should be available because cell phone service is sketchy.

Loved Our Stay!

  • 5 of 5

We are still talking about our stay at this ranch!! We keep asking, I wonder what the llama is doing right now?!! Thank you for allowing us to have the run of the ranch, the hiking trails, and feeding the sheep and llama. I hope our girls didn't feed them too much!! The cabin is beautiful and everything was convenient and clean. We really didn't want to leave. Thanks again!!

100% satisfactory

  • 5 of 5

Jim was a wonderful host, and while we only briefly met Linda, she seemed very pleasant as well.

My wife and I stayed for 4 nights, with our daughters, ages 4 and 2, and had a perfect time.

The llama and sheep are a real interest for kids and anyone else, really.

The cabin is cozy and comfortable, with the loft serving as somewhat of a secret hideout for kids.

The location is just far enough in the country to really afford you a peaceful privacy, but close enough to civilization to be the perfect hub for taking day trips.

We would definitely stay again!
