About Charlene Harper
We are recently retired after careers in IT Engineering (Roger) and Finance (Charlene). I have been to Oahu (3 times), Big Island (twice), and Maui (numerous times). While they each are beautiful in their own way, I began to see why Kauai was my Roger's favorite. It's name as the Garden Isle is well deserved and the lush verdant landscape comes at a price--frequent rain showers. The weather is never boring! One day, we were driving around and, on a whim, stopped at an open house. We met our real estate agent AnnMarie Hamilton that day and started to dream of owning our own place. Over the next 2 years she sent us many listings and we realized that our dream was affordable if we went the vacation rental route. In December 2013, we bid on our beautiful ocean view condo, Cliffs 6302. On New Year's Day 2014, our offer was accepted--we flew over 2 weeks later to inspect the property and the view was so amazing, we got chills! As Bloody Mary in the musical South Pacific so aptly sings: 'You've got to have a dream, if you don't have a dream, how you gonna have a dream come true?' From inception to realization, our condo in Kauai is our 'dream come true'. We love sharing our dream slice of paradise with our guests.

Why Charlene Harper chose Princeville
Our property at the Cliffs has it all: View, amenities, privacy, and spacious living space. No one above us and concrete building construction which really limits noise. The property is gorgeously landscaped. The pools and hot tubs are newly constructed and there are tennis courts, volleyball courts, a playground for the kiddies, bike rentals, bocce and croquet courts. Gas grills, oceanfront gazebo, picnic tables, and hammock complete the idyllic picture.

This lovely property exceeded our expectations. It was beautiful and inviting, very tastefully decorated, with every detail in place and every convenience considered. The Cliffs property is very nice and in a convenient location for activities, and the unit is private but with a great view. We enjoyed just sitting on the deck watching the ocean and the wonderful birds. The master bedroom is spacious and comfortable, with a lovely view of the tropical Hawaiian trees outside. Everything is clean, new and in good repair. It is the perfect place to unwind and relax, even in the rain. Check-in and check-out was very easy and the staff was warm and friendly. We would most definitely stay there again!
Mahalo, Ruth! We hope you come back and enjoy our returning guest discount!!

Restful and Restorative
We love staying at this condo. Roger and Charlene do a great job maintaining it. We highly recommend staying here.
We enjoyed our stay very much.
Beautiful Condo !
This condo has it all ! Beautiful views from the moment you walk in, large master bedroom, well equipped kitchen..the list goes on. Watching the whales from the front Lanai with a cup of Kauai Coffee was my favorite morning routine.
Our family of 6 stayed here for 18 nights, and we found it very comfortable with lots of room for us to spread out, it truly was a home away from home.
The Cliffs resort was amazing ! The grounds are kept up beautifully, the pool is one of the nicest I’ve seen and kept very clean, the pool area was never that busy so finding room to spread out was usually pretty easy. The Resort hosted many cool events, such as...farmers markets, craft fairs, wine and beer tasting, and local food trucks.
With a family of 6 we did most of our shopping at Costco but Princeville has a very lovely complex with lots of stores and restaurants.
If your on the fence about which area to stay in, definitely keep Princeville on the list...we will be back !
Thank you Charlene and Roger for everything, we look forward to coming back in a couple years !
The Varga Family
Nice decor and beautiful views of both lanais
While it rained most of our stay, we drove to sun and enjoyed the mountain mist. The unit is well stocked with supplies. The decor is lovely and bedding comfy!
THE CLIFFS #6203
feb11-MAR11/2018 ENJOYED OUR TIME. GREAT CONDO. RODGER & CHARLENE A JOY TO DEAL WITH.VERY RESPONSIVE TO ALL OUR ENQUIRIES, WE WOULD HAVE ENJOYED OUR TIME MORE HAD THE RAIN LET UP. TRAFIC CONGESTION ABIG PROBLEM. VERY FEW DESCENT RESTAURENTS ON THE ISLAND & OVER PRICED. BUT MUST KEEP IN MIND THAT THIS IS NOT THE MAINLAND.THE CLIFFS RESORT IS IDEAL SPOT. FOOD TRUCKS COMMING ONTO THE PROPERTY DURING THE WEEK IS A NICE ALTERNATE CHOICE TO GOING OUT. THE CONDO IS WELL KEPT AND CLEAN, NICE FURNISHINGS,GOOD WORK OUT WALKING UP THREE FLIGHTS OF STAIRS. ALL IN ALL WE HIGHLY RECOMEND THIS PLACE AND THE GREAT OWNERS CHARLENE & RODGER.
All the comforts of home with all of the amenities of a top notch resort. The Cliffs Resort is 22 acres situated on an ocean bluff in the upscale Princeville community of Kauai. Gorgeously landscaped with oceanfront gazebo, adirondack chairs, picnic tables, hammock, and 4 grilling stations with double gas grills. The Cliffs is the official NOAA (National Oceanographic Atmospheric Administration) site for whale watching in Princeville which means it is one of the best viewing locations.
Swimming pools, hot tubs, a practice putting green, tennis, volleyball, bocce and croquet courts are all available for guests who want a little activity.
You never have to leave the resort (except for groceries or other sundry items), but when you do, you will find a plethora of ways to spend your time. The Prince and Makai golf courses are within 5 minutes. Hanalei Bay and Anini Beach are two of the most well-known beaches, but there are several others on the North Shore worth exploring. Kiluea lighthouse is worth the 20 minute trip.
Travel south down to Poipu and you will pass Lydgate beach park which is a popular spot. If you get to Lihue and like noodle bowls, there is an excellent place frequented primarily by locals--Hamura Saimin. We also like The Dophin in Hanalei and The Bistro in Kiluea.
Princeville Center (5 minutes) and Hanalei (10 minutes) have restaurants, food markets, and many small shops to explore.
You can find hiking trails throughout the island, and there are several natural wonders: Fern Grotto and Waimea Canyon are must-see's.
We recommend the luau at Gaylord's where there is a scenic train ride, a historic home and frequent craft shows to explore. It is in Lihue, about 30 miles south of Princeville, but well worth the ride.
