About the property

3 Bedrooms, 2 Bathrooms, Sleeps 8

This historic country house was built in 1947. Now this charming 3 bedroom, 2 bath house is a vacation rental. Its is conveniently located directly off the Hwy 140, in Midpines, on your way to Yosemite National park and ten minutes outside of Mariposa.

Upon arriving you will be greeted by an eye appealing rock entry made from local Mariposa slate. The front door enters into a large living room. From both the living room and dining room kitchen areas you can look out the windows and observe the wild life in the meadow across the street. The large farm style kitchen is a great place for everyone to gather in. It is fully equipped for all your cooking needs. There is even a large beautiful fireplace to enjoy during the winter months.

In the back patio area there is a BBQ for outside cooking and dining. There is also a fenced yard to the side of the side of the house with an herb garden.

This country vacation rental is easy to find and is perfectly located to many attractions in the area. Yosemite is 19 miles from the house, about 40 minutes away. There is even a bus stop within walking distance from the house that can take you to and from Yosemite Park. In the spring months the Zyfer River Rafting is close by too! Mariposa is only 7 miles away. There are many cute shops and dining to enjoy. Also don't forget about the local museum and music on the green in the park during the summer. Mariposa also offers an adventurous zipline. Are you into dirt bikes and ATV's? You can bring those too. The house offers plenty of parking and the forest service trails are within a mile of the house with hours of outdoor fun trails to explore.

Awesome stay!

  • 5 of 5

This home is perfect for your trips into Yosemite. We rented it the first week of April. It is a little bit of a drive into the Park but it seems like that would have been a drive with anything that we rented. The house is neat and clean. Ample room for everyone. The heat wasn't working but the room heaters kept us nice and warm and the fireplace is awesome. We came back everyday from the park exhausted. The home owner is exceptional and even provided us with a crockpot when we asked if one was available. Easy drive into Midpines where we found a great pizza place and an awesome bakery with sticky buns that were so yummy. I would recommend it to anyone and would love to come back.

Charming home near Yosemite!

  • 5 of 5

This older country home has a charming and historic feel. It was perfect for our family of 6 to use as a base for visiting Yosemite. Fresh clean sheets and towels....and the owner left some welcoming snacks for us too. Would recommend to a friend.
