Esta histórica casa de campo fue construida en 1947. Ahora bien, este encantador 3 dormitorios, 2 baño de la casa es un alquiler de vacaciones. Su está convenientemente situado justo a la salida de la autopista 140, en Midpines, en su camino hacia el Parque Nacional de Yosemite y diez minutos fuera de Mariposa.
Al llegar será recibido por una entrada de rock atractivo ojo hecha de pizarra local Mariposa. La puerta principal se entra en una gran sala de estar. Desde la sala de estar y áreas de cocina comedor se puede mirar por la ventana y observar la vida silvestre en el prado de enfrente. La gran cocina granja es un gran lugar para todo el mundo a reunirse en. Está totalmente equipado para todas sus necesidades de cocción. Hay incluso un gran hermosa chimenea para disfrutar durante los meses de invierno.
En el patio de atrás hay una barbacoa para cocinar y comer al aire libre. También hay un patio cercado al lado de la parte de la casa con un jardín de hierbas.
Este alquiler de vacaciones país es fácil de encontrar y está situado a muchas atracciones de la zona. Yosemite es de 19 millas de la casa, a unos 40 minutos de distancia. Incluso hay una parada de autobús a poca distancia de la casa que te puede llevar hacia y desde el parque de Yosemite. En los meses de primavera la Zyfer Rafting en el río está cerca también! Mariposa está a sólo 7 millas de distancia. Hay muchas pintorescas tiendas y restaurantes para disfrutar. Asimismo, no se olvide del museo local y la música en el verde en el parque durante el verano. Mariposa también ofrece una tirolesa de aventura. ¿Está usted en motos de cross y ATV? Usted puede traer los mismos. La casa ofrece un montón de aparcamiento y los caminos de servicio forestal en un radio de una milla de la casa con horas de diversión al aire libre senderos para explorar.

The central air conditioner in this house is LEGIT - after a hot day of hiking it was amazing coming home to a cooled house. House was also expansive with three big bedrooms and two full separate bathrooms. Was amply stocked with towels and had a nice big living area with TV that connects to Disney+ etc. and the washer dryer was right in the middle of the hosue instead of in a garage or something annoying. Convenient drive to Yosemite and also to downtown Mariposa, with the U shaped driveway for easy in-and-out. Also has an interesting provenance! There are photos adorning the walls showing that it was constructed as a cafe initially (which explains the amazingly large kitchen area with giant island, tons of wine glasses, cooking supplies and a bar with stools) and a really well written little book on the coffee table that explains the history of Midpines. We may come back again next summer for another stay it was perfect for two families as one of the 3 bedrooms has a bunk bed. Hostess was also the nicest lady - so responsive to our questions.
Really large kitchen it makes sense this house used to be a home + cafe.

Amazing find right outside Yosemite with one caveat.

We stayed 6 days really getting to explore Yosemite. This place is only 30 minutes from the entrance to Yosemite allowing you to go North to Tioga road, east to the valley, or south to glacier pass or Mariposa Grove. I recommend grabbing groceries on your way before Midpines, as prices get more expensive. This place was perfect for what we were looking for except for the ants. We were warned from the owner before we got there that she has been dealing with ants and to make sure to keep the counters clean and put food in zip lock bags if opened. We did this, however, the ant problem was much worse. They were everywhere, bathroom, living room, bedroom.... In the owner's defense, she was shocked by how bad it was and offered to send a cleaner out during our stay, which we declined. She seemed very committed to treating the problem and was very apologetic. The ants are the only reason I took off stars for our stay and for cleanliness. I'm hopeful, that she follows thru because, besides the ants, this place is a hidden gem in terms of size and convenience to Yosemite, which is one of my favorite place on earth. Future reviewers should be able to give people an update to whether the situation is fixed. Honestly, I'd rent from the owner again given how she responded to the situation.

Well appointed

Spacious, well equipped with everything we needed.Places to eat indoors and outdoors, including grill. Clean. Water pressure was erratic.

Great Cabin

Loved the "cabin in the woods" feel of the Midpines HWY 140 house. So close to Yosemite we were able to see all the sights we wanted to and had a nice cozy cabin to return to. Loved the fireplace and that it was all set up and ready to light when we arrived. We brought food to prepare and all kitchen necessities were there and easy to find. Lots of DVDs and games available for the kids too.

Comfort and Charm: Our Family Stay near Yosemite NP

We had a wonderful stay in this quaint home with so much history. It’s a vintage style home with all the modern amenities. Just a 38min drive from Yosemite entrance and 8-10min from Mariposa. Amazing location! Perfect for all the activities we wanted to do.

Beautiful views

This is a quirky old building. Used to be a road side cafe. The old timey photos of the cafe were a nice touch. The fireplace in the kitchen was awesome! Just looking out the kitchen windows to the creek across the street really made it feel like you're in the middle of nature. Not far from local shops and mom and pop restaurants. Still conveniently close to Merced river and Yosemite national park. The beds were nice but too soft for us. Also one of the beds was too high off the ground for some of our family members. Queen size only, no kings. But well stocked with dvds and games if needed. There was no working porch light so get there during day light, its easy to miss. We would definitely stay here again. Wish i could live there forever!

Beautiful home!!!

Lovely home located just past Mariposa on your way to Yosemite National Park. Huge kitchen ( I love to cook) huge fireplace and I loved the privacy in the backyard. The beds and bedding were so comfortable. The host was amazing and super friendly and so were the owners. My trips will be more regular and this will be my stop. It’s perfect!

Nice house, but uncomfortable

Property is a bit difficult to locate at night time. House was better than the pictures, place is clean and located in good location with respect to Yosemite. Unfortunately, the furniture is very uncomfortable... The bed was sagging and way too soft. Everyone in our party complained and sleep came at a minimum. Sofa was also too soft. Our backs were hurting from the poor furniture.

Wonderful Stay

We loved this rental. Our group of 7 (4 adults, 3 children) stayed here while we enjoyed a couple of days at Yosemite. We loved how spacious this home was, and it felt cozy. We cooked a couple of meals and the kitchen had everything we needed. If we ever go back to Yosemite we will definitely stay here again.

Great Spot

Four of us stayed here and all enjoyed it. Super clean, great beds, outdoor grill was nice. Large and roomy. Cool to know it was once a roadside diner. Perfect spot for our trip to Yosemite. I would stay there again in a heartbeat! No complaints!

Nice proximity to Yosemite

This house is right on 140 on your way in through the Arch Rock entrance to Yosemite. Unless you are staying in the park, it seemed to be one of the closest options other than a big motel right at the entrance. The house was well equipped and although a little more rustic had everything we needed. There is some road work being done between the house and Yosemite when we were there and so some delays both on the way into the park and back as well as we could hear some trucks buzzing by throughout the night. Pretty quick drive into Mariposa where there is a grocery store and multiple restaurants.

Quaint and Roomy!

Our group (5 adults from 22 - 49) had plenty of room to be together or spread out at this quaint house. We arrived and the house was clean and welcoming. It is an older house; it has all the charm and quirky features that comes with a house of this age. It isn’t as fancy as some places but it lets you feel like you are at home. There are 3 bedrooms that are connected to each other but all bedrooms have a separate entrance. Two share a bathroom and the other (bunk bed room) has a bathroom across the hall. The bunk bed room and the middle room also share a door. The beds do squeak as others have posted but they are extremely comfy. Lots of extra pillows and blankets are throughout the house as are games and info about the area. The kitchen is roomy with plenty of space to make meals and eat on the go or to sit down together. Lots of storage; there are some ants but nothing too terrible. It is fully stocked with all the things to cook, some spices, and some helpful things to pack lunches. We needed a cooler to pack lunches for our day trips and one quick message had one brought to us. Our group was able to spread out all over the living room in the mornings for coffee or at the end of the day without feeling cramped or like we were on top of each other. The house is an hour from Yosemite Valley; we arrived by 10am each day and had less than a 5 minute wait. It was a perfect location for us!
