And don't forget your furry family members, this Columbia Gorge getaway is dog-friendly!

Located in the Columbia River Gorge National Scenic Area, Cascade Locks is right across the river from Stevenson, Washington. From here, a day trip to the charming town of Hood River, Oregon is just 20 miles west and closer, you'll find the historic Bonneville Dam, and boat tours of the Gorge are available on the Columbia Gorge Sternwheeler, leaving from the Marine Park, a five minute drive away.

When you're not out exploring this majestic natural area, this Cascade River Watch vacation home offers a spacious retreat for up to six guests. Relax in the living room for some TV and maybe a board game. And with a full kitchen, snacks and popcorn are easy to prepare and accompany your evening's activity. There's a counter bar and a wooden dining table for the nights you plan a home-cooked meal.

On sunny afternoons, head out to the river-facing deck for a glass of wine or fire up the grill for a cookout. This is also a serene spot for your morning coffee or a post-dinner glass of port.

The three bedrooms have two queen beds and two twins - there's space for adults and kids alike and with two full bathrooms, getting everyone ready to head out in the morning will be hassle-free. In addition, your dogs are welcome, though a nightly fee per dog and minimum fee per stay will apply. Other amenities include a washer and dryer, so you can pack lightly for your Columbia Gorger getaway!

This cute as a button Cascade Locks retreat has a cozy, vintage flair and is ideal for family vacations or even friends traveling together. You're close enough to the downtown area to walk to restaurants and shops in Cascade Locks, as well as parks along the river's edge. The easiest way across the river and to Washington state is the scenic Bridge of the Gods, and from here you can visit Beacon Rock State Park or the Pierce National Wildlife Refuge, just nine miles northeast of your vacation rental.

Plan a stay at this lovely Columbia Gorge vacation home for an adventurous retreat no matter what time of year you visit!

About Vacasa, OR - Mt Hood / Hood River Office

Thanks for considering a Vacasa home! We provide full-service management for privately owned vacation homes, and like to think that we offer our guests the best of both worlds: the unique experience of staying in a one-of-a-kind vacation home, with the peace of mind that comes from knowing that the home you book for your special vacation is cared for by professional housekeepers and property managers.

Vacasa began in 2009, simply because our founder and CEO Eric wanted to find a better way to share his wife’s family’s summer home in Long Beach, Washington with guests as a vacation rental. Eric and his early team worked to build Vacasa on the premise that local employees can do what they love most (taking care of guests, homeowners, and properties), while the hands-off tasks of vacation rental management—things like marketing, filing taxes, and maintaining a website—could be handled by a specialized central support team.

Our passion is connecting travelers with the unique experience of staying in a vacation home, and we would be honored to be your host. Please contact us with any questions about this home—our team is standing by!

The apartment was very dirty with beds not made, sheets messed up when we entered and on top of that we found a cockroach running around on the bed. Bathrooms were not cleaned , half roll of toilet paper was left on the counter and a used old soap with black things growing on it left on the sink. It almost felt like someone was using it till we entered the house and someone was sleeping on the bed in master bedroom because of which sheets were messy. It felt really gross. The weirdest thing we found was a shoe was left on the kitchen counter with a "lost and found " note. Come on Shoe on a kitchen counter, it was so gross that we had to deep clean the counters and dishes before using them. It was the worst airbnb I have ever stayed at. We should be refunded for our stay.

Owner's Response: We are sorry to see it appears this guest arrived to a sub-par clean. We wish they had contacted us for assistance so we could have rectified any oversights. We have fully stocked the home, and the old soap and shoe have been thrown out. We do have a deep clean scheduled for January. Thanks!

Happy trip at Cascades Lock.

 • 4 of 5

Comfortable roomy house at Cascade Locks. Needs a bit of updating, but a good location with a view of the river. Lots of trains going by, but otherwise quiet sleep. Would definitely recommend for a group of 4-6 people.

the peace we all felt and how relax the whole environment is, was priceless. Close to downtown, the market, restaurants and parks. Love this place. the kitchen was well furnish. No air conditioner but then again most of time you do not need it.

We love staying in Cascade Locks

 • 4 of 5

Staying in Cascade Locks while attending sailing events at the Marine Park is something we look forward to every summer. This house fits our needs well. It's simple and clean, but needs new carpet. Its a nice friendly neighborhood and quiet house with a great deck.
