About Roxana E. Andreu

I am the mom of triplet boys. I have resumed looking after this property after, Tom Cauchon, my ex-husband and father of my children suddendly passed away. Tom loved this property so did his father so I will make my best to keep it running in honor of their memory!

Roxana E. Andreu purchased this house in 2005

Why Roxana E. Andreu chose Cape Cod

Tom's father owned this house for several years and it has and continues to be a spot for our family to reunite. We always have a great time at the house and we are certain you will enjoy it as well. It's easy to get to the area from nearby Boston, where I live. The lake provides a peaceful setting, yet you can get to the beach and other activities on the Cape quickly. We especially enjoy going for a hike at one of the nearby conservation properties.

What makes this house unique

Large open floor plan and extensive back yard. Makes it ideal for entertainment. Our house provides a family oriented atmosphere in a great residential neighborhood. This is our second home so I keep up with it with great detail.

Guestbook comments from the owner

A magnificent & breathtaking place to have a small intimate wedding/honeymoon. We felt the sense of family & community even though it was only us here...

Thank you so much for sharing your space in such a joyous way! We will be back!

Wonderful home - perfect for groups

  • 5 of 5

Roxana's home was an amazing place for my group of nine to stay. The house was clean, comfortable, spacious, peaceful, and beautiful, with amazing views of the pond just behind the home. We really enjoyed the amenities of the home, including the hot tub, sauna, kayaks, and canoe. The check-in process was smooth and communication was prompt. The house is also conveniently located to pick up fresh seafood and groceries. Highly recommended!

Good stay, need some maintenance

  • 4 of 5

We had an overall great time at this cituit escape. House is large, plenty of things to do indoors, beautiful yard and lake, access to kayaks and canoe. Great!

We had a couple of issues though, some not avoidable by the owner, Roxana. One of these was that the how water did not work on evening, and we all had to go to bed without showering... Not something you want to deal with on a cape cod vacation. The owner seemed to be doing what she could to fix the problem though and had the plumber come the very next morning to solve the issue. I appreciated her effort, but it did dampen our stay a little.

The only issues I noticed were that some household items needed maintenance. One side of the crib in the children's room was not attached, one of the bed's bottom frame rails (children's) kept coming off when we sat on the bed, tv channels were not very available, dishwasher was not snugly put into the wall. All of these I feel that the owner could fix easily.

I would definitely rent again if the owner made sure that things were in better shape next time. Overall, fun times and great memories. House just needs a little more care.

Owner's Response: I don't usually respond but this one requires my attention as it really renders the wrong impression of my house. The hot water situation was resolved the morning after. Things like this happen in all homes and an overnight turn around is beyond acceptable. I did not find anything wrong with the crib. Crib does not provide the slide down option as it is a hazard so perhaps it was forced down to the point of breakage. But it was fine when I went back to the house so it must be that this renter put it back in place. The renter sent me a message about finding two screws on the floor. They belonged to the dishwasher used to keep it snugly. This happened during their stay so no opportunity to fix it other than after their stay

Great location. Not a 4-star resort. Very comfortable home with plenty of things to occupy oneself

  • 4 of 5

The reviews of this home were on target overall. The home is conveniently located in a central location. Easy access to groceries and other necessities. Covell's Pond is a nice place to hang out - quiet, no crowds, few boats. Small kids will swim all day. For young adults and teens, plenty to keep them busy (pool table, ping pong, etc.). The home is much like a "regular" place where families have lived. This is not a place to have an elegant experience (which we did not expect nor desire). Rather, it's a place where a family can rest comfortably, cook some meals, hang out, etc. Internet connectivity was very good, which these days is of some importance. A few lazy bugs around the home, but nothing unexpected. Rooms were fairly comfortable. All in all, we enjoyed the home and appreciated having it available.

We enjoyed Davis Beach, Flying Bridge Restaurant, Whydah Pirate Museum, Mashpee Persy's, and Cape Cod Coffee (Mashpee). Simply stuff.

Great Escape and Location!

  • 5 of 5

After spending many years visiting Cape Code, we decided to stay at a new location...not really knowing what to expect we were more than pleasantly surprised. Our entire trip was amazing from the minute we arrived at Cotuit Escape thanks to the owner Roxana. She went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed not only while we were on the property, but also by making restaurant recommendation etc.

The house was spotless and beautiful...perfect amount of space for our group. We had great weather and enjoyed the hot tub after a long day fishing, canoeing and kayaking on the pond. We had few hot and humid days, so the A/C came quite handy. The location is ideal with close proximity to Rt28 and the famous Jimmies Ice cream where the person in front of you could be POTUS.

The only downside is we had to leave. It’s an understatement to say that we strongly recommend Cotuit Escape.

Thank you Roxana.

Just perfect!

  • 5 of 5

Traveled to the Cape for a family wedding with three generations staying at this beautiful property. What a wonderful respite this house provided for us to relax and recharge throughout the festivities. Dining al fresco on the spacious deck overlooking the pond was a high point, while the kiddos played on the large lawn or in the playhouse. Kitchen is well stocked, bedrooms are spacious and hot tub is a bonus! Owner prompt in answering emails and ensuring a seamless check-in/out process. Highly recommend for an extended family stay
