About Alison Clark

Alison is a recently retired teacher while John is retired from Ciba-Geigy and from instructing the Dale Carnegie Course. They make their primary home in New Jersey, close to 15 grandchildren. Alison summered on Cape Cod from the mid-1950's when her Grandparents retired to the Cape from the Berkshires to escape mountain snows. The house is Alison and John's second home when others are not there to enjoy it and they keep it immaculate and updated. Their caretaker and grounds keeper lives right down the street and is always available when needed.

Why Alison Clark chose Yarmouth

The original property was a single lot and the original small cape cod home was built by a local contractor for my grandparents when they retired. The original home passed down to the next generation, and my father decided to expand and update the home to fulfill the dreams so often spoken of by the women of the family. Today it is a lovely airy home, fully updated, environmentally sound, new furnace, new windows, and a second piece of property to keep and expand the feeling of the original wooded property.

What makes this house unique

The minute you walk in the door, you feel the tensions of life fall away. The large windowed family room just welcomes you in, and soon you find it is the center of your time in the house. It leads you to the deck where we love to share our meals outdoors, or sit quietly to read a great book. The kitchen is wonderfully spacious for cooking. Step out the door and you are only minutes from every possible Cape Cod activity or restaurant due to the home's central location. Or just stay on the property and enjoy...there is lots available to do right there! Badminton, soccer, foosball, air hockey, board games. It truly is a Home Away From Home...... and you have the time to enjoy it!

Guestbook comments from the owner

Another year in your home full of joy and laughter with the family. Your kitchen was the epi-center of many wonderful meals. As always, another year of beautiful memories made. We count the days till we can come back.

A Truly Beautiful Home in an Ideal Location

  • 5 of 5

From the moment you enter these premises, you realise there is something very special about this home. This is truly a beautiful home which the owner Alison has furnished with great love & affection not only for herself but for those guests who are fortunate to stay here. Our party of 4 stayed for 3 nights in mid October and not only was our stay really comfortable with every need met by our host, its central location meant we were able to visit many of the attractions Cape Cod has to offer without having to drive any great distance. We have no hesitation in recommending these premises and would love to stay here again should we re-visit Cape Cod in the future.

Great house with lots of amenities! Loved it!!

  • 5 of 5

We had a great weekend here at Alison's Cape house! The house is exactly as described and has everything you can possibly need. The kitchen has all the amenities you need. The outdoor grill is a bonus and nice deck to sit on. The house was very clean and comfortable. We loved the openness of the kitchen to dining area to family room. The guys golfed nearby and the girls enjoyed biking on the nearby railtrail. There were bikes in the garage, although we had brought our own and there's also a bike rental shop at the trail. I would definitely recommend this house, 4 bedrooms and plenty of room to sleep. We hope to return again next fall!

Amazing Host, Amazing Home!

  • 5 of 5

My friends and I stayed at this home recently during a long weekend getaway to do some photography together. There were eight of us and we very much appreciated having our own beds and most importantly for 8 women, 3 bathrooms! This is a beautiful, immaculate home with tons of room and equipped with EVERYTHING you might need for your vacation. All we needed to bring was our clothes and cameras! The central location could not have been more perfect as a base for all of our exploring. Even more amazing than this house, is Allison, our host, who spent over an hour talking to me on the phone about best places to go for sunsets, sunrises and other photo ops, and where to eat, etc and patiently answered e-mails from others in our party and provided detailed written suggestions for things to do. Our group has traveled together many, many times and we all agreed that this was the best trip we've taken so far. We will definitely be back next year. Thank You Allison!

Smashing September weekend

  • 5 of 5

We had a wonderful weekend at this lovely house. Kitchen is spacious and fully stocked with all necessities. Bedrooms are comfortable and a living room with huge windows and new TV is very charming and cozy. We loved the privacy and the greenery of the backyard. It is really not that easy to find at the Upper or Mid Cape. Plenty of walking trails and beaches within a short drive makes the house very well strategically located and keep any vacationer happy and busy for weeks.

Renting process went very easy and painless. Thank you, Alison!
