About Alison Clark
Alison is a recently retired teacher while John is retired from Ciba-Geigy and from instructing the Dale Carnegie Course. They make their primary home in New Jersey, close to 15 grandchildren. Alison summered on Cape Cod from the mid-1950's when her Grandparents retired to the Cape from the Berkshires to escape mountain snows. The house is Alison and John's second home when others are not there to enjoy it and they keep it immaculate and updated. Their caretaker and grounds keeper lives right down the street and is always available when needed.
Why Alison Clark chose Yarmouth Port
The original property was a single lot and the original small cape cod home was built by a local contractor for my grandparents when they retired. The original home passed down to the next generation, and my father decided to expand and update the home to fulfill the dreams so often spoken of by the women of the family. Today it is a lovely airy home, fully updated, environmentally sound, new furnace, new windows, and a second piece of property to keep and expand the feeling of the original wooded property.
What makes this House unique
The minute you walk in the door, you feel the tensions of life fall away. The large windowed family room just welcomes you in, and soon you find it is the center of your time in the house. It leads you to the deck where we love to share our meals outdoors, or sit quietly to read a great book. The kitchen is wonderfully spacious for cooking. Step out the door and you are only minutes from every possible Cape Cod activity or restaurant due to the home's central location. Or just stay on the property and enjoy...there is lots available to do right there! Badminton, soccer, foosball, air hockey, board games. It truly is a Home Away From Home...... and you have the time to enjoy it!

Perfect For Our Needs....
We needed to be on Cape Cod for 3-days for a family funeral. There were 7 in our group. House was very clean, bright, nicely furnished. There were plenty of beds, basement bathroom/shower came in handy, when our group was trying to get out at the same time. Kitchen was huge....great for a large group doing meal prep, etc. Sun room was very nice....with large smart TV. Owner was easy to work with, attended to our needs.....based on our situation. Thanks again Alison..!!!
Thank you for your nice review, Mike. I’m glad that, under difficult circumstances, we were able to provide you with ease of stay and the comforts of home.
Charming home with a gracious host
During some *frigid* days over winter break, we decided to meet some good friends at this home on the Cape. Alison made the arrangement very easy, and we had a delightful visit. The home is well appointed--plenty of room, lots of good pots and plates for cooking and dining, and ample play space PLUS the air hockey and foosball tables. The home was warm and welcoming, and we're grateful for the kind hospitality. We recommend the Pirate museum and cold walks on the beach--but only with proper snow gear. Thanks for a great stay.
Thank for a great review ! It’s nice to know our home provides the warmth, entertainment, and cooking needs that make a winter stay as appealing as a summer stay! You are welcome back at any time.... Year round!
Beautiful home, equipped with everything we needed for a relaxing stay.
Yes! That beautiful room with the high ceilings and lovely windows is the first thing you see upon entering the house. We spent most of our time together there and in the connecting dining/kitchen area. The kitchen is large and well organized, fully equipped and had plenty of counter space. We cooked every night and there was room for all five of us to help and move around.
The bedrooms and bathrooms were very clean, spacious and the linens and towels were easily accessed and abundant. Having a full bath and two of the bedrooms on the main floor is great when you're traveling with an elderly parent or anyone who has difficulty with stairs.
The entire house is nicely decorated and well thought out, with games, space downstairs for kids and even an extra sitting area for reading or chatting. We stayed over Christmas, so this was our "wrapping and gift room". And since the weather was too cold to enjoy the deck and yard, having an extra space away from the TV was a nice bonus.
The location was perfect for us, just a very short ride to 6A and just as fast to groceries or anything else you might need. One thing to note...the house is on a very busy road. No problem for us, but be aware if you have young children.
Thanks so much Alison for letting us use your beautiful home and for all your help.
Happy New Year!
Keith, Lynne and Family
Thank you so much for your wonderful review, Lynne. It was heartwarming for me to know my home was enjoyed for Christmas.
For anyone having concerns about the traffic, we have thick trees and foliage across the front of the property. There is a front lawn, huge side lawn where my children and later my grandchildren used to play soccer, a back yard, and a second property that is cleared woods with paths to explore. Very small children should certainly be played with or watched by adults, but in general there should be no problem. We also have badminton/volleyball available during the summer.
Home A Way From Home
Perfect for our Ladies annual weekend away!!!!
We truly enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend this property to families for
a perfect get away.
Alison's home was simply gorgeous! We loved every moment of our stay.
My parents, my brother, my wife and I and our 3 kids had an amazing time, and there was plenty of room to spare! We were super comfortable in Alison's beautiful, clean and fun home. The house is in a great location, and we took advantage of it by strolling Gray's Beach and boardwalk, the Brazilian Restaurant in Hyannis and the lobster pot tree lighting in Provincetown. Alison was wonderful to chat with and had some great suggestions. She's super nice! I absolutely 5-star recommend both her home and Alison herself as a gracious, communicative and helpful host. Thanks so much, Alison!!!
Situated in the heart of the Historic District, this home gives you a peacefully forested and spaciously lush green lawn property, close to the historic Captain's Row on 6A (the Old King's Highway) with its highly rated restaurants, intriguing antique shops, various creative art centers and the talent-drawing Cape Playhouse (7 min). It is just off Rt. 6, the main access to everything, yet also only a few minutes from Rt. 28. Located 30 minutes from the canal and 40 minutes to Provincetown, our home is very centrally located. Vary your experience by choosing beautiful beaches on the Bay, the Sound, or the Atlantic Ocean. It is an area of exceptional restaurants, a beautiful natural boardwalk for watching ospreys and sunsets at Gray's beach, evening baseball games down the road at Dennis-Yarmouth high school, local golf clubs, grocery stores, medical needs, as well as lots of 'kid' restaurants and activities for children, including Zooquarium, miniature golf, trampolines, game centers, playgrounds, and Scargo Tower all within 5 minutes of our home, while Hyannis, Whale Watching, the Melody Tent (drawing a wide variety of well known musical talent), Barnstable Airport, museums including the Kennedy Museum, and the Cape's largest mall are within 10 minutes. Even jet-skiing, para-gliding, and wind-surfing are minutes away in Dennis. Whatever you love to do, we have it easily accessible within a few miles radius.. Home is available year round and has a generator.
