Entire 7BR House on Gore Creek · Walk to Both Villages · Hot Tub · Sleeps 16
Get the entire house. In Vail, where nearly everything is a condo or half a duplex, having a whole private home — all seven bedrooms, both the main house and the lock off apartment, all to your group — is rare. This is one of the few. Located on Meadow Drive between Lionshead and Vail Village, right along Gore Creek, with the free in-town bus stop just steps from the driveway. Only four other homes can be seen from the property — the neighboring duplexes now sell for $20-25 million per half, single-family homes for $35 million and up. You get 3,500 sq ft of house, 1,000 sq ft of creek-side deck, two full kitchens, two living rooms, and a private hot tub. The best decks in town, in the best location in town.
DIRECTLY ACROSS FROM VAIL HEALTH HOSPITAL — ideal for recovery stays after surgery, or for families staying close to someone receiving care. A peaceful, creek-side setting with everything in town just a short walk away.
BUILT FOR MULTI-GENERATIONAL TRIPS AND LARGER GROUPS - The entire home — both units, all three floors, the full yard - Configurable as one big house, or as two separate units (4-bedroom upstairs, 3-bedroom downstairs) when families want their own kitchen, living room, and space. -Two fully stocked kitchens, equipped with anything you'd need to feed a group -Private hot tub and 1,000 sq ft of creek-side decks -Wood-burning fireplaces and mountain views of Golden Peak and Lionshead -Washer/dryer and a mud room for skis and gear
SLEEPING (SLEEPS UP TO 16)
Upper unit: 4 bedrooms — one king, two queens, one with a queen + twin. Three and a half bathrooms. Lower unit: 3 bedrooms — two queens and one bunk room (best for kids and young adults). Two bathrooms. Plus a loveseat sofa bed and air mattresses for flexible overflow.
THE LOCATION DOES THE WORK
A short walk to the lifts in either village, the free shuttle at the driveway, shops and restaurants minutes away. Arrive, park (up to 4 cars), and leave the car until you go home. No complex, no shared walls — just an entire home on the creek in the one location everyone wants.
COMFORT OVER FLASH
A vintage Vail ski house with character the new builds can't replicate, updated where it counts: comfortable beds in every room and kitchens equipped to actually feed a group. This is the value choice in a sea of high-finish homes — you're paying for the whole house and the location, not the marble.
YOUR STAY
You'll have the entire house: both units, all three floors, and the full yard. Only the garage is locked off and unavailable to your group. A 20-year local caretaker lives next door and is on hand throughout your stay to plow the driveway, clear the decks, and offer recommendations on restaurants, rentals, and activities — as much or as little as you like. Ideal for family reunions, multi-family ski weeks, recovery stays, and summer groups on Gore Creek. On cancellations: we hold a firm policy because last-minute re-bookings are rare for a house this size. That said, we're reasonable — if your plans change and we're able to re-book your dates, we'll do our best to make it right. We don't believe in profiting twice on the same nights. Weekly and monthly stays are welcome and especially well-suited to this house. All prices include all fees. No hidden fees. Town of Vail caps occupancy at 16. Registration #011036.

Used for 6 days and the size and flexibility of rooms and Kitchen were very helpful. We did not use one of the kitchens but could be very useful for separate groups or timing of activities or 2 families.
Great Location & HUGE Home Perfect for Large Groups
This home was perfect for our group. The property manager was extremely communicative and very helpful. We would definitely stay here again if our group returns to Vail.
Fit our group of 10 really well. It's has an old school cottage feel, backs up to the river for beautiful ambiance/sound, and is well stocked. 10-12m to gondola and right next to bus line if you dont want to walk. Incredible/ thoughtful/communicative host
This is an awesome property in Vail. Great location and on the town bus that makes it easy to get to Lionshead or Vail Village. Either is a quick walk or ride.
Chris the property manager was great to work with.
We had 11 family members ranging in age from 25 to 92. Fantastic house with 2 separate living areas and kitchens. Very warm and comfortable. Also the bus stop is right at top of drive which was great for our elderly parents.
Would definitely stay here next year
What a wonderful house for our group! Roomy, comfortable, clean, and just what our group needed to get together AND each have our own space. The two unit design (we booked the full house) gave us lots of flexibility and opportunities to connect. Kitchens were well equipped, living spaces roomy and comfortable, and bedrooms well furnished. The grills and hot tub were also well used. Location is perfect, easily walkable to lionshead and just a bit longer to the village. Communications and checkin were flawless! We very much enjoyed our stay and look forward to coming back for a visit.
This property has a great location with a lovely view of Gore Creek. Other than the kitchen it is quite dated and has old furniture and dim/old lighting throughout so the ambience inside isn’t great. Sadly, we also had a robbery while we were there and my pursue was stolen from our bedroom. Otherwise we would have had an overall enjoyable experience.

We're very happy that due to our camera systems the thief has been caught and hopefully you have your purse back by now. Even in Vail, we highly advise against leaving Louis Vuitton purses full of valuables just inside an open window with only a screen while no one is in the unit. We ask our prospective guests to read more of our reviews and determine if this guest let their frustration at the theft taint their review. Just a day before the theft this guest messaged us hoping to extend their stay and said, " (We) are really enjoying the house and are so happy with how well int has worked for us with the surgeries and PT across he street everyday."
This house is very conveniently located in between Lionshead and Vail Village. There is a "in-town bus" stops right at the end of the driveway and it comes every 5-10 minutes and takes you directly to any of the bases of Vail. If walking, it is about a 10 minute walk to the lifts at Lionshead. The house itself is stepped off the road and so you can't hear the road and all you hear is the creek flowing. There are 4 bedrooms in the upstairs unit and 3 in the downstairs with 2 full kitchens and living rooms. We ended up all using the upstairs living room/kitchen and there was plenty of space for lounging and eating. The house is obviously a little dated, but everything worked well and there was no stress over keeping it pristine while there. The host was quick to respond and help with any issues (he lives very close-by). There is a good chance we will stay at this house again for our extended family gathering!
Great Location, Wonderful River Sound & Fantastic Host
Nice property, great location (for Summer), and FANTASTIC host. Spent a long weekend in mid-june to attend a wedding. Multiple family members ... ages 12 to 75. Needed a house near downtown that had at least 7 bedrooms. This house had great reviews and location. We rented both "units." It's a bit difficult to distinguish from the listing photos ... the bottom area has a full kitchen, living room/dining area, two full bathrooms, a bunk room, two other bedrooms with Queen? beds And access to the lower patio and spa/hot tub. The upper area has a kitchen, dining room with big table, big living room, with access to the upper deck, two bedrooms that share a remodeled bathroom. There's also a half bathroom near the kitchen. The second floor of the upper "unit" has two bedrooms, each with their own bathroom. One BR has a queen and the other has two double? beds. The double bedroom's bathroom has a low ceiling tub, more suitable for baths or children to shower (The rest of the bathroom's ceiling is normal height). When we checked in Thursday afternoon there was no hot water. A call to Chris (the mgr) resulted in a few minutes of troubleshooting and then he had a plumber at the house within the hour ... Absolutely fantastic response considering he was out of town dealing with an ill family pet. We only use the upper kitchen, it had everything needed. The house was built in the mid '60s, but totally functionable. The sound of the river was fantastic.
Took my Girlfriend and her daughters to Vail for Christmas. This home was in a perfect location between Vail Village and Lionshead. Home was modest but clean. Met our needs perfectly. Chris was awesome to work with. Thx!!
Great location, close to both villages (walking distance).
Surrounded by trees, view of the creek from the back. Even though you are closed to the main "centers" of Vail, you feel like being in a remote place.
Chris is very accomodating and easy to communicate with.
Traveling with infants is not easy but Chris made it easier (bought a high chair before we arrived and was open to early checking / late checkout.)
Thank you very much for being so flexible, Chris.
We were surprised by the every day needs that were provided. House very clean and large. Everyone loved the sound of the rushing stream! Chris was wonderful for his help for what we needed! We all thank you!
Everyone in our group from 40 years old to 3 years old had a wonderful time here. The location is perfect. We walked to Lionshead and Vail Village without any problems. Chris was so helpful and there any time we needed him. I definitely recommend staying here!
This property is truly one of a kind. This property is nestled in the trees between Lionshead and Vail Village. Everything Vail has to offer is easily accessible by foot or bike. The picture window in the living area overlooks the large wood deck that is steps away from Gore Creek. The kitchen is well appointed and the owners were very helpful and responsive in answering any questions we had. Although we spent much of our time on the deck listening to the rolling creek, our family was also thrilled to have all the NFL games available to watch on the large flat screen TV. We think we’ve found our new happy place!!
Great location on the river strategically between Vail and Lionshead.
This was our first VRBO experience. Chris made it easy and enjoyable. The location of the property was the most significant for us and it did not disappoint. Strong recommendation!
Thanks Chris
Thanks for a wonderful stay! The location is perfect, central to everything and right on the shuttle. Loved having a parking spot right outside. The beds were comfortable and there was plenty of room for my large family. Chris was so helpful, accommodating my sons on our checkout day so they could stay longer and take their online summer class exams. Highly recommend.
We had a great vacation here! Lots of space, great deck with a view and yard for the kids to play in. The location between the two villages is awesome. Walking distance to everything. Very comfortable and cozy stay. Thanks!
I would say at first i was really impressed of how christ the host was on point communicating with us helping us with all questions witch is important for us ...
As for the house it was super homie specialy with a family , it has a view from the inside on a river and deck that we loved !
Location was amazing everyone didnt have to leave house at same time everyone could be independant since there s a bus stop just outside of driveway, we came with a car but almost never used it . And the slops are just 2 short bus stop away (leteraly 2 min) same for ski school...
We have nothing bad to say and we will come back here for sure !
Comfortable accommodations in great Location. Great value(for Vail)
The owner was super responsive from reservation through checkout. Spacious common area. Comfortable accommodation. Literally yards away from village bus which comes every 5 minutes
The condo was very nice, with a beautiful view overlooking the creek. The manager Chris was helpful with local tips and service. We had a fantastic time, made better with lots of powder!

About the host
Hosted by Chris
I've lived here since 2005, right next door during your stay. I'll be on site at prearranged times to plow and shovel snow, and otherwise as involved or as hands-off as you'd like. First time in Vail? I'm happy to share local tips — the right ski runs, restaurants, and rentals. A longtime visitor? Then you already know how special this spot is. Either way, my goal is to make your stay easy and let you enjoy the best location in town.
Why they chose this property
The best location in town. Tucked between both Villages, so the shops, lifts, and restaurants are all just steps away — yet it feels like a secluded, quiet corner of Vail. Gore Creek runs right through the backyard. The neighborhood is full of wildlife: moose, deer, foxes, raccoons, and hummingbirds all come through. It's a true hidden gem. Every other home nearby has been torn down and rebuilt as a duplex selling for $20-25 million per half. Come enjoy this rare, original single-family home while it lasts.
What makes this property unique
The entire house is yours — both units, no shared walls, no complex. Wood-burning fireplaces, your own creek-side yard with direct Gore Creek access, a private hot tub under the pines, and the closest rental to Vail Health Hospital. One of the last true single-family homes in the heart of Vail, configurable for one big group or two separate families.
