About Don Dow
Our family has been on this bay for over 57 years. The families first house was 300 ft away. Our parents built Pearl's Beach House enjoy their later years on the beach they lived on since 1958. Two brothers own the property now, have updated it but kept the original cabin like feel with the warm wood, big windows and open floor plan. All five children in our family graduated from Bainbridge High School. When we first moved onto the bay, it was mostly weekend cabins for those living in Seattle.
Don Dow purchased this House in 1976
Why Don Dow chose Bainbridge Island
We wanted to keep this house in our family to continue our traditions on Forth of July and making memories together with friends as well.
What makes this House unique
Growing up on this beach, was the ultimate and we didn't truly appreciate it until our adult years. Our playground (beach) changed each day with the tide. We have added a sizeable deck to the house, updated the kitchen, furnishings, but keeping the unique feel of our family home. The views are amazing. Our father used to say, 'no one can build in front of my view of Mt. Rainier'....
Great location, both regard to the bay and Mt Rainier but also the Lynwood Center. Very relaxing!
House set up was nice. Good flow to the views outside. Beds very comfortable.
Highly recommend ‘Pearl’s’!
Older cabin but cozy and well equipped.
Fantastic spot to take in the waterfront views and relax.
All good! Lovely space, cozy and comfortable. A beach walk to the coffee shop. Highly recommend!
Beautiful Clean As Good as the Pictures GORGEOUS VIEW
We thoroughly enjoyed our week, which went too fast. Pearl's Cabin lives up to the pictures...and more. Great "support stuff" like condiments, shampoo, paper towels and such. My bed was so comfortable!
Wonderful Beach House
Pearl's Beach House is a great place to stay! Lovely furnishings, layout, and location. We were there for 4 nights in June for a graduation celebration and it was perfect. Thank you for a great stay!
My family of five rented Pearl's House late December till January 3rd and it was a wonderful vacation. The house is nicely furnished and has all the amenities that is needed for a restful and comfortable stay. The kitchen is fully furnished with everything you need to prepare home cooked meal. The pantry had plenty of odds and ends to cook, such as, salt...pepper...oil...spices. Every kitchen utensil is there. Plenty of bath towels and the washer and dryer was a huge plus. Sitting outside out back was so pleasant, the view was gorgeous! I would highly recommend this property!
Pearls Beach House is on Point White Drive on the South End of Bainbridge Island looking straight at Mt. Rainier over the top of Blake Island. It features a no bank waterfront perfect for beachcombing, collecting shells, beach glass, exploring tide pools, discovering sea stars, small crabs and a myriad of sea life. The beach and area are home to bald eagles, herons, otters, seals and other wildlife. Lynwood Center and its restaurants, coffee shops, bakery and store are just a short stroll away down the beach. Historic Lynwood Theatre features first run movies and some restaurants providing live musical entertainment. Sit on the deck enjoying the morning sun with our eastern exposure. It is the perfect location to cycle, kayak, stand up paddle board, water ski, and enjoy an active lifestyle. An outdoor firepit is the perfect location to relax at days end, watching Washington State Ferries as they go back and forth from Seattle and Bremerton. Bainbridge Island is a short 35-minute ferry ride from Seattle.
