Excellent and quiet!
A very nice place in a very quiet setting. Very clean and comfortable. We made good use of the deck and grill!
I loved a lot about the place. One thing I was really impressed with was the stocked kitchen. It had all the cooking equipment you could need!
Thanks for the note! Glad you enjoyed yourself and the Guest House!
Great place to stay in the Crosslake area
Clean, quiet, comfortable... perfect place for the 3 of us this weekend. Hosts are very welcoming and responsive to questions. Will most definitely stay here again if we're back in the area.
The house itself is amazingly comfortable, modernity, and spacious!ous and fit our needs perfectly!
My daughter and I rented the Buckskin Guesthouse while we were attending a wedding. I was doing the bride's hair and my daughter was doing the flowers. The house was perfect with an island for her to work on and an empty refrigerator to store the bouquets and corsages.
The bedrooms are a nice size as is the
open concept living area. We had no need for the fireplace but it is a nice touch. Everything was very clean, tastefully decorated, and the kitchen was more than adequately supplied.
Cindy was very helpful in working with our arrival and departure times and also helping us know the distance to the rural venue we were traveling to for the wedding.
Tim and Cindy appear to be very nice people very warm and helpful! We enjoyed Sunday morning coffee on the deck with a very nice hightop and comfortable chairs! Enjoyed a trail walk to the lake with various wildflowers
and vegitation. It was relaxing to just sit and watch the ripples in the water and the beauty of God's creation.
I definitely recommend a stay here whether just indoors for movies and games or to enjoy nature, hiking, or winter sports! You can't go wrong!
This was my first vrbo rental. Easy reservations, immediate responses, and personal e-mails from the owner.
Bless their ♡ for their warm hospitality and reasonable pricing!
Nancy--We are so glad you and your daughter had a nice time last weekend. Thank you for the kind comments and we hope your future plans will bring you back our way!
Cindy and Tim
My family enjoyed the beautiful atmosphere and we can't wait to return!
The property was very clean and we enjoyed the unique set up of the cozy condo. It was a affordable lodge because it offered so..many unaccepted details. The view of the balcony was simply breath taking.
Beautiful secluded weekend away.
We had a great time. The guesthouse was everything we were looking for on our weekend getaway. It was clean and had everything we needed. The area is secluded yet offers wonderful accessibility to XC skiing. snowshoeing and hiking. We even got some pictures of deer. Thank you Tim and Cindy for a wonderful weekend.
Crosslake has a small town, neighborhood feel and features dozens of lakes, including the 14 interconnected lakes of the Whitefish Chain of Lakes. In all, the Whitefish Chain includes more than 13,500 acres of water, 119 miles of shoreline, and dozens of bays and islands. The Chain offers great opportunities for boating, fishing, skiing, swimming, and so much more. The dockside restaurants are a favorite in the summers and also provide beautiful views for winter sledders.
The Pine River Dam in Crosslake – at the U.S Army Corps of Engineers Recreation Area—just 3 miles from the Guest House is a sight to see on the Whitefish Chain. You can watch the rushing water from the overlook or cast a line and try your hand at fishing. The Cross Lake Recreation Area offers a wonderful sandy swim beach, nice shady picnic areas and a convenient boat launch with large parking areas. Crosslake is one of the most picturesque communities – year-round – in all of Minnesota. All four seasons are thoroughly enjoyed by residents and visitors alike. Recreational opportunities are plentiful throughout the seasons.
And, Crosslake is more than just a stopping point on the road. It is a town offering an amazing hardware store (if you can’t find it there you probably don’t need it), a large, modern grocery store, over a dozen great restaurants (many lakeside), several banks, churches, gas/convenient stores, and shops. And, a sports rental shop is nearby that rents snowmobiles and jetskis. And all these conveniences are just 1-3 miles from the Guest House.
A great thing about the Guest House is how easy it is to get to town (a mile or so and it’s a fairly easy walk or bike ride in the summer and for snowmobilers, you just follow the groomed trail right from the driveway) yet enjoy the seclusion of the 18 acres of woods surrounded by wildlife areas and views of two environmental lakes.
