Great place to stay!
It is such a cute house and convenient to town (Portsmouth), Newport, and Providence. What really made the place special was the obvious care and thought that went into making sure our stay was pleasant. In addition to an email with local grocery stores, things to do, and restaurants there were night lights scattered through the house, plenty of outlets and power strips, tissues in every bedroom, and a box of brochures for ideas on activities. We had such a good time we want to return to RI and when we do we’re staying at this house again!!
Wonderful, quaint, well-supplied and immaculate!
We stayed here for a sisters weekend and didn't want to leave! Gorgeous view of Bluebell Cove was just the beginning. Living room had plenty of comfy seating. Kitchen was well-supplied as was the bathroom. Plenty of sleeping options and beds were comfortable. The home was absolutely immaculate!
Our annual trip now has a new destination! Thank you so much for sharing your home with us.
The comfort of home
First there's the view that greets you as you pull into the parking spot. Amazing! Walking in there's a big living room with LOTS of seating. The kitchen, though a bit small, has almost anything you could need to make great meals except the food! I even managed to cook a turkey in the oven! And three bedrooms! Top that off with a gorgeous deck and it's the perfect home away from home.
Had a wonderful time in Island Park. The location was great for visiting family and spending time in Newport. Would stay here again. The house was spacious, clean and well kept. Waterview was a bonus.
Highlight of our trip!!
OMG...I love this house!! If I could move in, I would. Beautiful retreat with an awesome view of the cove. I could have spent the entire time just watching the boats, birds, and waves from the cozy chair positioned in front of the bay windows.
The owners know how to make one feel welcomed and at home. Everything I could ever need was there. They anticipated our every whim. The bed was oh so very comfortable and I feel in love with one of the pillows in particular! Every room was spotless and so nicely decorated.
In all my correspondence with Mike, he was professional, friendly, and very responsive. He had so much insight regarding the area. You can tell he enjoys sharing this home and works very hard to be a good host.
I hope some day to get back to "my house on the cove"!
Beautiful views, quiet and cute neighborhood
We were extremely happy with our vacation! The house was just big enough, clean, cozy and had great views. The neighborhood was quiet and great to walk our dog. Close to everything we needed. Thank you so much!!
The nearest beach is less than one-half mile away along Park Avenue. A second beach just at one mile is Teddy's beach at the Breakwater Bridge. There are also three additional very large exceptional beaches in Middletown & Newport. They are First, Second and Third beach all just at nine miles away. These beaches are just a short distance from Bellevue Avenue in Newport, home of the historic Newport Mansions, International Tennis Hall of Fame, Sailing Tours, Guided Tours, Comedy shows, Folk and Jazz Festival, plenty of gift shops and great restaurants at the Newport's Bowen's Wharf and always great weather. For the military guests just six miles away is the Newport Naval Base, the Navy's premier site for training officers, officer candidates and senior enlisted personnel and midshipman.
