First off, TideLife was so horrible, we refused to deal with them directly shortly after our stay. The owner was rude, snotty and arrogant. Dealing directly with the owner directly was much more efficient. If the owners are paying TideLife, they should demand a refund.
The House: The house has a nice layout located on a quite cul-de-sac. Good location to the beach with a convenient cut-through close by. Great views off the rear deck. The AC worked great and kept the house at a constant comfortable temperature in spite of the oppressive heatwave. The beds were comfortable but at one additional king bed would be nice. The furniture is tired and worn but comfortable. Inadequate # of deck chairs relative to the houses capacity, four rocking chairs total. The second refrigerator on the ground level did not keep food at temperature, in fact, barely worked at all. The smoke alarm had to be unplugged due to them going off and could not be turned off. The elevator worked great and was a big help carrying things to the 3rd floor. The golf cart was weathered but worked. Nice parking and a lot of garage space. The house was relatively clean with an adequately equipped kitchen. The main refrigerator is small but functional. Overall a good stay thanks to the owner making things right. However, we will not be back thanks to TideLife nor stay at any property they manage in the future.
The misrepresentation: The house was advertised with a “crow’s nest with great views of the marsh” (the house was selected specifically for this feature). When we arrived, it was locked with no access. TideLife denied it was mentioned on the property description, in spite of me looking at it while talking to them. Their response was, "well, you can leave with a refund." Huh ? They have since updated the listing and removed that reference. So when you look at the picture, strike the “crow’s nest” from your mind. It boasts 6 TV’s with multiple DVR’s. There are three TV’s but only two have cable boxes, therefore, only 2 usable TV’s. Two DVD players total. We were forced to deal directly with the owner due to horrible representation by the rental company. They cost the overall rating at least two stars.
