This Southwestern styled apartment is just the right thing for 2 or 3 people to spend some quality time restoring your spirit in Telluride.
Bedding: King Bed, double sofa-sleeper.
Southwest colors sooth in this adobe-style 1-bedroom condo, with a solarium dining area to brighten your day.
From the 2nd floor common hallway, enter the unit and go down a half-flight to the kitchen and living room level. Here there is a flat wide-screen TV w/DVD and VCR, iPod dock with CD/radio, as well as gas fireplace and queen sofa-sleeper. Off the living room is a large deck that overlooks the common areas of the complex where there are gas grills and picnic tables, with stairs down to ground level.
A half-flight down is the bedroom that has a new king bed. The bathroom containing a shower and a custom built-in tile tub is just outside the bedroom. This condo has views of Ski Mountain. Ski and snowboard storage is available in the closet across the hall from the entry.
Telluride Lodge has common outdoor and indoor hot tubs and steam room completed in 2010, located on the south side of the middle (400) building by the HOA office. Parking at Telluride Lodge is an outdoor lot on site. Coin-op laundry for residents is located in the breezeway near the condo. The unit has free access to wireless internet.
Telluride Lodge is unique in that it is spread over 5 acres, and offers a park-like setting with big open spaces, grass, and picnic tables/grills.
To the north of the Telluride Lodge, you'll find the grocery store (full-service) and the high school with the Palm Theater. Just south of the complex, across the street, is the San Miguel River and the base of Lift #7, a.k.a. Coonskin Lift. Intermediate and expert ski runs will return you at the end of the day, or down-load on Lift #7 - quite a view from there. The historic downtown, from Telluride's mining days, is a 10-15 minute walk away, but you can also get the free in-town shuttle bus that has a stop on each side of the block.
Hiking and Biking trails start from town, and go up to waterfalls, mining ruins, and even 14,000 peaks if you keep climbing. The Town Park (about 6 blocks away) hosts the summer festivals, skate park, and winter sports including sledding, skating, and cross-country skiing.
