Perfect location to access the waterways by boat. House was spacious and well stocked for all your needs. I even appreciated the study space for a few after hours remote working. I had a few questions and was easily able to communicate with the host. Definitely recommend and will stay here again !

We had a wonderful time during our stay. Very convenient location, great dock space for the boat and spacious kitchen. Hosts were very helpful and responsive. We loved the easy access with the boat to either the Gulf or Atlantic. Also loved that we could walk to pickleball in the mornings.

Absolutely beautiful home! Everything was well maintained and in excellent condition. We fished every day and it was nice coming back to a dock with a large fish cleaning table and a hose to rinse boat and equipment. The Owner(Jody) had great communication and was very fast with responses. Would recommended this home to anybody.

Beautiful Property

Clean, high end property…was just beautiful and was stocked with everything we needed. We loved using the pool at the Cabana club and fishing off the dock at night. Owners had excellent communication.

Just dreamy!

This was our first trip to the Keys and we had such a great time! This location is so convenient with restaurants, bait shops, Walgreens, etc. right near by and is a short boat ride to two great snorkeling locations! Beds were comfortable, kitchen well stocked, owner responsive when we had a question…honestly zero complaints and would absolutely recommend.

Amberjack Delight

We had an amazing stay at Amberjack House at KCB. Our host Jody was amazing. From booking to departure, she made it so easy. The accommodations met everyones needs and the desk area was perfect to take care of business while we were away. The dockage and amenities were a fisherman's dream.Everything was as advertized. Only complaint was mother nature could have been nicer. Lol But overall wished we had more time but we will be back for sure next year.One public service announcement, if you haven't been to Marathon public boat ramps in the past few years...you have to pay to launch and retrieve your boat.

A week away

The place was exactly as described! Perfect for us in every way! We really appreciated the beach supplies: chairs, toys, snorkel gear and used them often throughout the week. Also, appreciated the extra supplies so we didn’t have to buy dish/laundry soap, paper towels, trash bags. Owner was great to work with!

Great family vacation!

Lovely home located on a quiet canal in the Keys. We had a terrific week, kayaking with the manatees each day and catching lots of fish. House was clean and had everything we needed. Had a few small issues which were resolved promptly by the owner. Would Recommend to any family!

Keys 2024

Been to the keys for many year for opening week of lobster season however this was our first time in Marathon. The Amberjack House was truly perfect! The house is extremely well maintained, furnished and stocked. Easy access to either the Gulf or Atlantic. Communication with Mr Hillman was superb! Highly recommend this home to anyone coming to this area!

Perfect Place

House wah just as advertised. In the perfect locarion in the keys. 45 minutes from key west and 45 minutes from key largo. House has everything you need when traveling with kids. Everything you need from groceries, gas or rental equipment (fishing poles, boats ect) within 10 minute drive. Owners very prompt in getting back if u have any question. Jody and her husband were wonderful to work with. We will be staying again.

Great house and location!

What a great vacation we had! We go to the keys every year for the last 30yrs…This was our first time in this house and we loved it! It’s so nice to have both sides of the building as most properties are duplexes. The house was extremely clean and very well decorated with anything and everything you would need to have a great time in the keys! The deepwater dock out back with nice fish cleaning station and hoses really complete the package. The owner Jody was a pleasure to deal with and was quick to respond with any questions we had. We will definitely be back next year to this little gem in key colony! Thank you for sharing your home with us Jody.. see you next year :)

Fantastic, memorable family trip in this lovely house on the water

My family (wife and two kids) stayed in this lovely well cared for property for a last minute end of summer getaway and had a memorable fantastic time. Paulette was great to work with and really made it easy for us to check-in/out and was quick to answer all of our questions. The kitchen and main living area in the house are very open with large windows and a great view into the private back patio/yard looking toward the canal. We found the bedrooms to be spacious with comfortable beds and separate bathrooms and ample storage for our gear. We got great use out of the home's large dockage and spent most of our days out in our rental boat snorkeling and diving. It was always nice to come back to the well decorated and appointed house and relax. When we are next visiting the Keys we will definitely plan on booking this property again. My whole family thoroughly enjoyed our time in the Keys in the lovely house on the water, tooling around in the boat, and snorkeling at the nearby marine sanctuary reefs. TLDR; great property - would totally come back.

Fabulous house and host

We just got back from staying in this home for a week and it was the BEST decision. Everything was clean, it was in a very convenient location, and I truly don't have one bad thing to say about the home or owners. The fishing off the dock for my son, was key. He caught several fish and they were perfect for him and the experience. The pool and beach access was perfect for my girls. They could go back and forth between the two with ease and I didn't have to worry about where they were at any point of time. The food and drinks served at the club, were excellent. If I had one thing that could be improved upon (which the owners have no control over) was the club workers. A couple of them had some quick and rude comments when we had questions, but that is at NO fault to the owner. If we head down there for another family vacation in the future, we will for sure be booking with them. :) 100% satisfied!!!

Perfect place in paradise!

Our second time renting this house and we will be back again! We brought our boat down this time too and we went home with a cooler full of fish that we caught (mangrove snapper, yellowtail snapper and mahi mahi). We also caught large sea trout but that doesn’t freeze well so we cooked that while we were in KCB. The house has everything you need to be comfortable during your stay. We love the fact that it’s a single home and not a duplex like many of the rentals in that area. The covered patio facing the water to the west is perfect for eating outside or enjoying cocktails as we did almost every evening. If you want to go fishing but don’t have a boat there are several charter boats on the causeway as you enter Key Colony Beach. We did some sight seeing when we wanted a break from fishing—check out the National Key Deer Refuge on Big Pine Key—start at the office which is located in the Winn Dixie shopping center. The staff will give you maps of trails you can go to where you have a great chance of seeing Florida wildlife in their natural habitats. We learned a lot in the very informative briefing conducted by one of the volunteers there and we were happy to hear that they estimate about 800-900 Key deer are currently living on Big Pine Key. We look forward to our Keys vacations and Jody’s rental is the perfect home in the perfect location!!

Beautiful home--great view & perfect location!

My husband and I have been visiting the Keys since 1992. We’ve rented several places over the years and this one is definitely at the top of our list. Jody was very responsive to questions before & during our stay. This home suited our needs perfectly and is very well appointed for your vacation getaway. Single family vacation homes are hard to find on the coveted location of 7th St so we were thrilled to find this gem on our favorite street! The open floor plan is very inviting and the water views from the kitchen, dining and living room are excellent. We towed our boat down and really appreciated having it docked behind the house which was super convenient. The easy access to bayside and Oceanside make this the perfect location for boaters. We caught some large mutton snapper and mangrove snapper during our stay—enjoyed some of our catch while there and brought the rest home. Our boat trailer fit nicely on the driveway and we were able to park our truck under the carport which protected it from the heat of the sun. The bait freezer in the storage room was perfect for storing chum & frozen bait. We loved sitting on the patio enjoying our happy hour while watching the Charter boats return from a fruitful day of fishing. Very convenient if you want to charter a boat during your stay. Key Colony Inn restaurant—a short walk from this home—has delicious food; especially their Prime Rib which is available Friday & Saturday evenings. We didn’t use the pool or go to inch beach because we were too busy playing on our boat or sightseeing in the islands. If you've read any of Tim Dorsey's books the No Name Pub on Big Pine Key has a very colorful history and is a great place for lunch--you will have a very good chance of seeing a Key Deer up close and personal as they are frequent visitors for the cold water provided for their comfort. Amazing property!

Although we weren't sure that we were going to be able to come down on the tail end of Hurricane Ian we had excellent communication from Jody, the owner, who kept us up to date on the weather and any impact to the property. The house is a wonderful property in Key Colony Beach and we couldn't have asked for a better place to bring our boat and enjoy the area. Plenty of room for our trailer and car. The house was very well stocked with necessities and was clean and very comfortable for our family. We had everything we needed and had a wonderful week. Thank you Jody for your excellent communication and for sharing your amazing property! :-)

Great Place

Was the most amazing property. For price would be better if owners would provide more (toilet paper, paper towels, baking sheet) Third bedroom is accessed from separate door and not from inside the house. Only truly negative thing about the house is the owner treating tenants like children, multiple texts about the trash/ garbage. I read your multiple page paper on requirements and rules. Followed them but yet still received multiple texts about the garbage.

Most BEAUTIFUL canal in Key Colony Beach. Only canal with private BOARDWALK in Key Colony Beach. Walk out canal dock.
Golf, playground, basketball, horseshoe, bocce ball ...all just steps away from back door. Restaurants, pubs, post office, police station, Cabana Club w/beach and pool just a short walk away....Makes for a great vacation.
