Frank is an amazing host. We had a couple of issues and he responded very quickly to help us. There is a boardwalk that you are able to walk along the beach. No one came up to the house from the beach and we were able to sit outside and enjoy the beautiful view. Hope to go back again next year. But will fly into LAX vs Burbank. Yes, you hear planes, but not in house at night. It was so relaxing. Thank you Frank!

Best Place in LA!

We loved, loved, loved our stay! I can’t say enough about how great this home and lo CSS action are! Right on the beach with fantastic views and walkable to local restraints and coffee shops! Our host was more than accommodating and so responsive, we loved working with him. Would definitely stay here again in a heartbeat, you won’t regret choosing this place for your LA stay!

Spotlessly clean, amazing location

Frank accommodated us with a couple of special requests, and was extremely communicative through the whole process of booking and during our stay. The home was nicely appointed, has a beautiful retro look, and they don't use the chemical air fresheners to try to make it smell clean, because it IS clean. Everything in the listing is accurate, and we couldn't have been happier with our stay!

Absolutely Impressed

The LAX Beach House was the perfect place to stay for our vacation to LA. The listing was very accurate—beach access from the back patio, better than expected parking situation, and a truly fantastic home with an exceptional host who answered all our questions prior to arrival. We couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay. The house was clean, had ample room, and the location is amazing. We will be staying here the next time we are in the area.

Our family gathered from near and far to celebrate my daughter’s college graduation from Cal State Long Beach! We were looking for a place to enjoy much-needed family time throughout the weekend while celebrating and this beach house was perfect! House on the Beach!!!!

My family (4 kids- 20,19,17,15) had a great stay at this house on the beach. The views are perfect, especially from master bedroom! Coffee shop and taco shop within 4 blocks of the house. Overall, a great experience.

Gorgeous beach house in a quaint neighborhood.

Owners were easy to communicate with. We sent a text asking for restaurants to try and they were so helpful. The house has 3 bathrooms which was a blessing with 6 teenage girls In tow. We enjoyed the location and access to Santa Monica, Venice and it was a decent drive downtown.

Great beach vacation

Our family really enjoyed staying at Frank's beautiful beach house. The bedrooms all have their own bathroom and were roomy and well furnished. The master bedroom is incredible - huge and spacious and the balcony overlooking the ocean is spectacular. The living space suited our family of 5 well - we played games at night inside or outside depending on the weather - either way with the beautiful beach views. During the day walking out your back door to an enormous, uncrowded beach is hard to match. Frank was extremely responsive during the booking process (had to change dates but no problem) and checked in when we got there. Great place - we would definitely stay here again.

Beautiful & Wonderful Oceanfront Home

We enjoyed four nights at this wonderful property. The home was large and roomy and directly on the ocean. There are three bedrooms, two upstairs and one downstairs. Each has its own large bathroom. The upstairs master bedroom has a very large deck which overlooks the ocean. It was magical. We have a terrific time. There are plenty of restaurants within walking distance too. The property owners communication was excellent. We couldn't have been more delighted.

Million Dollar Views

A group could literally fly into LAX, Uber over, and never have to go anywhere else. The Beach, Parks, Coffee Shops, Restaurants, and stores are all walking distance, or easy Uber. #PlayaProvisions - wow! We didn’t do that. We rented a car, plenty of parking for two rentals. Visited Hollywood, Santa Monica and Disney, all easy drives. The home is clean, the beds are all comfortable, and the view from the Kitchen, Living, and Master are amazing. We did not need the AC but it is nice to have just in case. Frank was very helpful ahead of check-in and during the stay. Had a bottle of wine waiting for us upon arrival (Thanks for that). I found the home to have an interesting price point, very reasonable for a private beach house, maybe a bit on the high end for 3 bedrooms. It is a bit older and has a few remodels going on in the neighborhood - very up and coming, high-end, secluded and private area. Book it! You won’t be disappointed.

Look no further, this is the LA beach rental you want!

Don't look any further, this is the beach rental you want! From our initial correspondence to our final farewell, the owners were amazing to deal with and always got back to us promptly. They accommodated our early arrival which was super appreciated. The house is exactly as pictured and very spacious and well maintained. The beds were super comfortable and everything was in working order. We are so happy we chose this rental in Playa Del Ray. Spending the day at the Santa Monica Pier and Venice Beach, it was SO lovely to return to this rental well removed from the "noise" of the day. The beach was so quiet and peaceful and felt very safe. We slept with the masters' glass doors open and were lulled to sleep by the waves. The location of the house is super close and we enjoyed a delicious dinner @ Caffe Pinguini in the downtown area (5min walk from the house). We would not hesitate recommending this rental to others and would love to return again some day. We searched long and hard for a good beach rental in this area and Santa Monica/Venice Beach area, the best part of this one is that you have the ENTIRE house. No one beside you, above you, under you etc... totally worth the splurge! Lastly, the proximity to the neighbours was a non issue, seemed that everyone abides by the noise laws after 10pm, all we heard was the waves!

We had a wonderful extended weekend at the beautiful LAX Beachhouse. We fully appreciated the indoor outdoor spaces, we walked to a few of the local restaurants and our teen girls enjoyed playing volleyball, boogie boarding and laying on the sun Frank is an incredible host! Location, Location, Location!

This property was comfortable and exactly as listed. The view of the ocean and the mountains was wonderful! There were good restaurants nearby. We all had a great time.

Highly recommend

Great location on the beach and plenty of room for our 3 couples sharing. Great communication through the whole booking and stay from owner. Would definitely stay again.

Great location!

The place was clean and the host was fantastic. We stayed at the beach house for the first part of our SoCal vacation. It is central to many tourist spots and the walk out beach access was top notch.

Fantastic

My family absolutely loved the house. The location is great and the sunsets were spectacular. The master patio had amazing views and being on the ocean was wonderful. The house has a nice open layout and great vibe. We will be back in a few weeks. There are even a few walkable restaurants.

Mixed Feelings

The good: The house is right on the beach. The beach is a quieter area without too many crowds. The volleyball nets are wonderful. Frank is very communicative. The house was very clean. The garage is spacious enough for a midsize SUV. The house is air-conditioned, which is a benefit at night. FYIs for future guests
 this house is very close to LAX (fully disclosed in the listing). The listing and the reviews do not mention how loud the airport noise is. You can hear planes taking off while inside the house with all the windows closed and the air conditioner running. Being an international airport, flights takeoff all night long. The queen bed bedroom is on the ground floor, children might be nervous to be alone downstairs. The bad
 The neighbors are doing construction, and the worker set up his power tools on the patio by the ocean. A circular saw woke the whole house up at 7 AM. The neighboring owner is disrespectful. He blocked me in the garage and gave me attitude about moving his car until he realized I was a guest. The house is showing its age. Windows are dirty or cracked. The sliding doors are weathered and very difficult to use especially for children. The railing are rusted. Floors, cabinets, walls, and paint are peeling or damaged. It doesn’t feel like the luxury experience the listing describes. I thought about this review for a while since I seem to be in the minority, but hope these thoughts are helpful for other guests.

Coming Back!

The family and I had such a great time staying at the house. It was such a quiet and secluded part of the beach so it felt like it was all yours to enjoy. 10/10 recommend staying and will be coming back for sure.

As advertised

This is a nice quiet beach that lies between LAX and Marina del Rey. The home is directly on the beach and provides all the advantages for which one would hope. The sliding glass doors open the house to the beach. The upstairs deck is a lovely place for coffee. The entire home is functional and clean. Unlike Malibu, there is a lot of nearby parking. This was our first VRBO and we were worried the reality would not match the advertisements. We were pleasantly surprised and now the family is clamoring for a return visit in 2024. :-)

This is a private home, not a condo and not a duplex - when you are at "LAX Beachhouse", there is no one above, below or beside you. The home is not STEPS from the beach, it is ON the beach.

There is not a sidewalk full of pedestrians in front of the patio like at most beach towns in Southern California. So it is unique in that you have true privacy on the patio and in the other living areas.
