Beautiful setting and very peaceful!
The highlight of the house is the perfectly positioned porch, overlooking a branch of Mirror Lake and the tops of beautiful trees. The house was well furnished - I appreciated the simple antique touches here and there, along with the more traditional family-suitable sofas and chairs. The bones of the house, beautiful golden wood, were comforting and absolutely set the tone for the interior. As for amenities, we hiked on the nature trail (which is probably better described as a short walk) and swam across Mirror Lake each day. We also made daily use of the hot-tub. We saw two strong weaknesses in the experience, and they both relate to simple home technology: weak wi-fi, and no electronic key opener to the far-more-convenient back gate.
Great house - perfect set up for a family vaca !
We had a great time - the house is perfect for a large group - provides enough space for both fun and privacy!
The cabin was really nice. I would recommend it to others.
The only problem was the directions oven to us. It wasn't correct. I tried to follow them. My son had gotten there before me and he was coming from Huntersville which brought him in another way. The problem was getting to the cabin after going through the guard gate. He had gotten a map at the gate. He was then able to guide me.
The cabin was clean, well stocked and was the exact layout for us.
Perfect mountain getaway for couples
My husband and I enjoyed a great weekend in this beautiful mountain home with our extended family. It is clean, updated, and has three awesome floors perfect for multiple couples to stay together with plenty of privacy. Each floor has a living area, bedroom, and bathroom! The kitchen was perfectly appointed and easy to use. The house is so comfy that my favorite memories of the weekend were just lounging on the huge porch, enjoying the beautiful woods and lake view.
This cabin is beautiful and very comfortable! We enjoyed a perfect long weekend with extended family and enjoyed every minute. Each level offers comfortable gathering and entertaining space and privacy for those sleeping. The decks are especially nice, offering a view of the lake and a hot tub. I am already looking forward to a return visit.
Two (2) private lakes, private beach, picnic pavillion w/grills, hiking trails, direct access to the Rocky Broad River
