(pictures just can do these views justice) This home is located in Teller County, Southern Colorado about 2 hours south and west of Denver and a little over an hour west of the Colorado Springs airport.

If you enjoy the outdoors then you will love this property and the surrounding area. The large wrap around deck provides a perfect perch to view incredible sunsets, read your favorite book, enjoy your favorite beverage, or just relax in the peace and quiet. There is also a barbeque perfect for cooking a steak or fresh fish if you had a lucky day fishing. From the deck you can see deer and other wildlife just exploring the beautiful surroundings or try to count the millions of stars at night.

The lower level has one additional bedroom with a queen bed and full bed, 1/2 bath and family recreation room complete with foosball, TV and a queen sleeper sofa and walk out patio. A fully equipped laundry area allows you the convenience of a long-term stay without taking away vacation time.

The house comes fully supplied with fresh linens, paper goods, washing and laundry supplies. Two televisions - one on each floor to accommodate multiple viewing desires with a collection of movies are available - or bring along your favorites.

Summer time in Southern Colorado offers many activities. Such activities nearby might include a trip to the Florissant Fossil Beds, The Dinosaur Museum, Mollie Kathleen Mine, Pikes Peak, Cave of the Winds, Cheyenne Mountain Zoo and Garden of the Gods to name just a few. Come in the spring when the snow still falls, enjoy the dry heat of the summer with the cool nights, or come in the fall and see the splendor of the Aspens turning to gold.

Trips under 2 hours might include: Antiques in Florence, Golf in Canon City, Rafting & Fishing in the Arkansas River, the incredible Royal Gorge Park, Pueblo River Walk, Pueblo Zoo, Golf, Museums and Shopping.

This home is a perfect spot to create great memories!

About Sharon Sloan

Keith and I enjoy sitting on the deck and watching the sunset. We've been married 30 years and are high school sweethearts. We met in a rock band and still play in our church praise band together.

We hope you have a wonderful stay and please let us know if there is something we can provide to make it even better. And if you think that the squirrel night light on the deck is cute, tell me because Keith hates it. Ha!

Why Sharon Sloan chose Rainbow Valley

We purchased this cabin in 2013 and are excited to share it with others! As a kid my family would visit Colorado every summer and to be able to own a very tiny piece of Colorado is a dream come true. The previous owner was an artist who built it for his wife. Some of the quirky outdoor decorations were left by him. I love the bears on the pole!

We had an awesome stay, the cabin was great and fit our family perfect. Would stay again. Little bit of travel to get to attractions, but well worth it. Breath taking views and quiet. Very comfortable and had everything we needed. We even had a daily deer visit us during our stay. The grand kids loved exploring and hiking.

Serentiy Says it All!

  • 4 of 5

The Sunset Serentiy is simply beautiful. You feel one with nature and are so close to the stars you feel like you could reach up and pluck one out of the mid-night sky! It feels like you are out in the middle of know where. (and I did have service, if I stood on the porch, with USC). It was a little too far out for where we wanted/needed to be, but the accomodations were fantastic! Am currious about all the reflective mirrors inside and outside the cabin. (mystically interesting). Great place to get away. Quite and definately seren! Thank you Sharon!
