About Sharon Sloan
Keith and I enjoy sitting on the deck and watching the sunset. We've been married 30 years and are high school sweethearts. We met in a rock band and still play in our church praise band together. We hope you have a wonderful stay and please let us know if there is something we can provide to make it even better. And if you think that the squirrel night light on the deck is cute, tell me because Keith hates it. Ha!

Why Sharon Sloan chose Rainbow Valley
We purchased this cabin in 2013 and are excited to share it with others! As a kid my family would visit Colorado every summer and to be able to own a very tiny piece of Colorado is a dream come true. The previous owner was an artist who built it for his wife. Some of the quirky outdoor decorations were left by him. I love the bears on the pole!

Quirky Cabin with a Great View
We arrived to the cabin in the evening and had no problems finding where everything we needed was placed. The upstairs was clean, however the downstairs had a slight musty odor and looked as though the floor had not been swept/mopped before we arrived-a bit disappointing when we pay a cleaning fee for our departure.
The space heater was needed at night in the lower level, but it heated the area up rather quickly. There is plenty of bedding and towels. The kitchen was well-stocked and we took advantage of this with a big breakfast. It was inconvenient to only be able to use one side of the sink for dishes- especially when there isn't a dishwasher and everything needed to be hand washed.
The views were gorgeous and you can see for miles and miles. Not having internet or cell service was not a problem and allowed us to focus on good old-fashioned conversation and entertainment. We were curious about the tiny mirrors everywhere and assumed it was to bring reflection and positivity into the house.
Overall, it was a homey, warm stay.
Thanks so much for your review on your stay at Sunset Serenity. We appreciate your comments and will use the cleaning comment as a teachable moment with our crew as we just recently hired a new one. We had scheduled the plumber for the end of September but to accommodate your booking, we had it rescheduled so you wouldn't be inconvenienced during your stay. Thanks again for being our guests.
Nice place! Beautiful area!
Would have given it a five star but was missing an iron and ironing board which was important to seven females which made up our group. Kitchen was very equipped, even had two crock pots. Overall we throughly enjoyed our stay!
Beautiful View & Peaceful surroundings
We really enjoyed our stay in Divide at Sunset Serenity, the views are amazing from sunrise to sunset. The home provided everything we needed. After a long day of driving or sightseeing, it was so nice to come back "home" and just relax on the porch or even from the couch in the living room, and take in the awesome view of the mountains. Would recommend this cabin and would definitely stay here again!!
super cozy and well maintanied!
it was perfect vacational home. nice and cozy.
Great log cabin with good views
Clean & well equipped quiet & serene
Pros: Loved the well stocked kitchen. The cabin even had an extra propane tank for the grill, which was great since we ran out in the middle of grilling. Lots of games and movies for family time. The foosball table was a hit. Great views from the deck and nice table and chairs on the deck. No cell service or internet service which was great!!!
Cons: Couldn't get the DVD player to work upstairs, but not really a problem just went downstairs and watched movies. Screens missing on some of the windows. Door missing on entryway closet and kitchen pantry, which doesn't seem like a big deal unless you have a curious 3 year old.
Located within 30 minutes of Colorado Springs and very near many of the great attractions in southern Colorado
