About Patrick Moloney

My wife and I are originally from Chicago and moved to Arizona in 2007. We live in the Phoenix area. We bought this ranch to escape the heat of Phoenix's summers. After buying the property in the fall of 2014 we also realized we love coming up in the Winter as well. We didn't realize after leaving Chicago how much we love the change of seasons - and snow!

Patrick Moloney purchased this cabin in 2014

Why Patrick Moloney chose Flagstaff

We fell in love with this property the first time we saw it. It is about as private as you can get. There are no close neighbors. Sitting around the fire and watching the wildlife has been a real treat for us.

Just what we needed!

  • 5 of 5

This cabin was a perfect choice for our short getaway to the mountains! We had six adults and three smaller dogs and everyone was happy & well taken care of. The dogs had room to roam freely and safely in the fenced in yard which has doggy door access (bonus).

There was plenty of wood and propane on hand to keep us warm and even had designated blankets to cuddle up by the fire with. Stocked kitchen with all the necessities for making and serving a great meal.

Patrick was awesome and communicative throughout the process. Would definitely come back again- and hopefully stay longer next time!!!

Gorgeous Getaway

  • 4 of 5

Lovely cabin in a gorgeous area and owner was thoughtful and very responsive. He had the futon prepared for us before our arrival. While the instructions were slightly more complicated at any rental I've ever stayed at, this was also the best stocked rental as well. Kitchen, spices, teas, coffees, galore. There was even plenty of laundry detergent and fabric softener. A real blessing when need to do more than 1 load. Beds were comfortable. Everything was clean and very well cared for which we very much appreciated and tried our best to maintain everything that way. Tons of privacy with explanations on where you can take a walk, and where the neighbors boundaries are. Outdoor propane grill, indoor gas fireplace, and even comes with a small collection of movies, all wonderful.

Highly recommend.

There weren't many detractions. Homeowner had his own legal contract he asks you to sign which seems a bit antiquated but well within his own rights to do so. Instructions for getting in and getting the house ready for departure were a bit more complicated and involved than most places I've ever stayed. Also has a high cleaning fee. Satellite internet works fine for email and web browsing but if you're someone that needs to stay connected like an IT professional in case of work emergencies you may have a rough time. VPN or RDP is pretty slow and flaky. None of those issues individually were themselves bad enough to subtract a star, however in aggregate it does subtract from perfection.

A beautiful home away from it all!

  • 5 of 5

Patrick’s home is lovely and his property offers plenty or space for hiking through the woods and seeing the brilliant stars. He is a gracious host-and he offers many amenities such as wood for the fireplace, spices and seasonings for cooking, washer and dryer, etc.. His house has plenty of space with a master bedroom upstairs with a loft holding a queen futon. A king bedroom and a queen bedroom downstairs with a shared bathroom. The family room has a beautiful stone fireplace. His property has a large fenced in area in the backyard around the fireplace but it easily accesses his larger property. This property is a gem for escaping the concrete jungle and enjoying the woods.

Great Cabin, Great Owner

  • 5 of 5

Stayed for a long weekend. Patrick was in touch with me several times before our stay to make sure we were all set and was easy to reach when we had a question during our stay. I think he really loves what he does! House was great, we all enjoyed a full weekend of family time. We didn't leave the house once. Great!
