Why Randy & Janae McHone chose Olympic Peninsula & Pacific Coast

We loved the outdoor space and the privacy it provides us. The house was well suited for our family and entertaining. It is so peaceful here yet so close to shopping and outdoor activities

What makes this apartment unique

House is on a dead end street so traffic is minimal and very quiet and safe. Back yard is private and surrounds you with towering trees and ferns next to a seasonal creek.

Guestbook comments from the owner

Peter and Linda were perfect guests! Did not want them to leave! They were a joy to talk too and so considerate of the property and were very active in exploring as much of Our Olympic National Park as they could in 2 1/2 weeks. They shared each trip with youthful excitement that was so refreshing! Peter said that the park staff at the visitor center were over the top helpful in planning their adventure. We do hope they come back soon we enjoyed their time with us! Randy and Janae

Nice

  • 5 of 5

It was a nice clean place. I didn't actually realize that this was an apartment under someone's house, and I probably wouldn't have stayed there had I known, but it was nice and the people who own it are super nice. It was quite cold down there, but I guess that's to be expected when it's like 20 degrees outside! It was well stocked and clean and I would totally stay there again if i needed a place to stay.

Very comfortable apartment

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I stayed in the apartment 3 nights in September. It was comfortable, quiet and well stocked. We could not have asked for more. We never met the owners but really had no need to. Would definitely recommend staying here, very convenient to Hurricane Ridge and Port Angeles, but away from the crowds.

Really enjoyed.

  • 4 of 5

We really enjoyed this property - location, privacy. Clean, plenty of bath towels. We were there 6 nights. Gave it a 4-star only because Wi-Fi did not work. Even so, we would return for another visit. Patio was wonderful and we used the fire pit some mornings as well as evenings. Patio seems to back up to forest, which was enjoyable. We took walks in the neighborhood, saw deer. Would definitely recommend it to our friends.

Owner's Response: Well after a couple of visits by our cable company our wifi was fixed! First installer routed it wrong so signal was weak. All Good!

This is a very convenient and quiet place, and close to grocery store and downtown area. The host couple are very nice and answer questions very quickly. We will definitely come back for revisit next time.

Great hosts, great stay!

  • 5 of 5

We chose Randy and Janae's rental apartment because it was conveniently located to explore the Olympic National Park. This park had long been on our bucket list for day hiking. It's a large park and offers several beach hikes, rainforest hikes, and mountain hikes. Their apartment worked out perfectly. It was charming, roomy, very clean, and well supplied with all that we needed. Randy and Janae made sure we had everything we needed and were very helpful and knowledgeable about the park. The apartment overlooks their backyard that is filled with mature tall trees and it's a delight to sit on the patio and watch the hummingbirds visiting the hanging baskets. We were also just a short drive to the grocery and enjoyed fixing our own meals. If we have another chance to visit Port Angeles, we would definitely try to book again with Randy and Janae. We usually just stay for a week in a rental, but this time there was so much we wanted to see that we booked their apartment for 2 1/2 weeks. It felt like being in our own home.

Excellent little basement apt. Great location!

  • 5 of 5

This was an awesome place for us to stage all our Olympic Natl Park excursions. Very clean and had everything we needed. The little heater did a great job of taking the chill out of the air, the bed was super comfortable, and the back porch and fire pit were really nice. We had limited contact with our hosts, but they were very quick to respond with directions, tips on 4th of July fireworks viewing, and even loaned us folding chairs to use... overall, an excellent experience!
