The Great Ocean Team
The listing is very specific and all pictures were true as shown. There was so much more to this property: the beach being so close and the amenities included...I took way too many condiments and other things! There were so many games and toys for the children---it was HEAVEN for them!! The only thing missing was a "kiddy pool" and that was an easy fix as stores were close by. We were greeted and introduced to the property by the sweetest man---I will always remember my 4 yr old granddaughter observing VERBALLY, "Why is that man naked (shirtless)??"...she's a Milwaukee native so not "exposed" to beach attire---it broke the ice and we explained the difference in living up NORTH and here in Florida! Every day was a great adventure--and the afternoon rain showers were just right for naptimes and recharging our batteries! That same grand=-daughter recently drew a picture for me (BeBe)--it was of the view from the ocean, looking at the house and the blue beach chairs...she still refers to it as "BeBe's beach house"!!! We will treasure the memories for years to come!!!
What a wonderful place for all of us to gather. This was a college graduation celebration for my son and an opportunity for our family to be together for the first time in 35 years. My parents and my sister and her family along with my family all attended. Coming from Indiana, Michigan & Texas. There was plenty of room for all of us and the beach location was amazing. What a truly enjoyable, relaxing time we had. Couldn't have imagined any place better for us!
We LOVED the beach house and being directly on the beach!!! The house itself was so roomy and big enough for 6 adults and 4 children. The kitchen we enjoyed how large it was as it was always a gathering place for everyone. The decks that over look the ocean was relaxing and views amazing! Everyone loved being on the beach during the day, swimming and boggy boarding, & in the evening the kids hunted crabs. The area of New Smyrna Beach was very easy to drive to from the Sanford airport and the area itself is so close to so many attractions!! We will rent this property again!
We had been looking forward to our beach vacation all summer as a family and this beach house did not disappoint. It was roomy and easy for us to gather as a group and separate for some privacy too. The location and views are spectacular. It was so convenient to grab a towel and in a few steps be sitting on the beautiful beach. The listing description was perfect and everything that was promised was there. We hope to return in the future. It would have five stars except for the front porch in need of some repair and the back sliders impossible to open. We did learn from our neighbor handy man that this was all on a list to be updated. Thank you for a great family vacation!
This house was absolutely beautiful! You can tell the owners put a lot of thought and care into this home in order to make it the best for families/large parties. The house is VERY spacious and clean. We had a wonderful vacation at this property!
Clean and up to date house on the beach. This place has plenty of space for a large group, a huge kitchen with modern appliances, and great views of the beach. The down town is very accessible by car and may be walkable. The only issue that came up was the back sliding door off the middle floor was difficult to open from the outside.
When entering the beach house, the ambiance was welcoming, vibrant, and relaxing. It was immaculate and incredibly well-maintained. It was wonderful to have the luxury of walking out onto the porch and watch the sunrise every morning and have a variety of amenities available that made our stay even more enjoyable. With 25 of us in the house, there was plenty of space for everyone to sleep comfortably and gather for nightly activities. I could not imagine a better place to stay for a week or two than this beach house. Thank you for providing everything we needed to make our stay memorable and enjoyable. I can't wait to come back again someday!
About New Smyrna Beach
Located on Florida’s east central coast, New Smyrna Beach is a quiet seaside retreat at the southern mouth of Ponce de Leon Inlet. It is a small, historic city, and yet offers 13.2 miles of beach to enjoy. At only 55 miles northeast of Orlando, it serves as a favorite get-a-way destination for many Central Florida residents and has garnered significant notoriety as a surfing destination, often hosting American Surfing Professionals’ competitions. Surfers can bring their own equipment or rent from the numerous surf shops along the beach. New Smyrna Beach is the second oldest town in Florida and what many call “the old Florida of yesterday.” Quaint shops on historic Flagler Avenue and friendly folks are what New Smyrna Beach is all about. Through the years, the City of New Smyrna Beach has maintained tight controls on growth, resulting in a limited number of low-rise condominiums being constructed. The city has also held strict parameters on beach traffic which, in addition to protecting beach goers, simultaneously protects nesting sea turtles. It is a nesting ground for loggerhead sea turtles, and Florida’s loggerhead population is the largest in the nation.

New Smyrna Beach Museums and the Arts
The Atlantic Center for the Arts is the backbone of the lively New Smyrna Beach arts scene. The arts center has received great recognition for its eco-friendly design. The complex of buildings houses art exhibitions, performances, and is home to an artist-in-residence program. There are several art galleries in the downtown New Smyrna Beach area, such as Florida Galleria and TaDa Gallery which showcase works of local artists. The city is home to the Black Heritage Museum which has a collection of artifacts that date back to the 1920s.
