Come enjoy your stay at this spacious, comfortable home on a double lot — you have sweeping Mt. Baker and sunrise views, access to a private beach, and are in walking distance to the library, the Beach Store Cafe, the school playground, and the Islander Store. Big deck with an even bigger yard! The deck includes an outdoor grill and the yard includes a little playhouse for the kids.

The house has three bedrooms and one bathroom — including a steam room. The home offers an open kitchen, a large dining table, and a comfy living room with lots of wonderful light and windows. Relax by the gas fireplace, chrome-cast movies on the large-screen TV, check out the toys, games, and books....

Or... step outside and down the stairs, where you will find a hidden, rocky beach with tide pools full of little creatures. The beach is accessible at both low and high tides, is clean and fresh, and is a wonderful place to relax, watch the ferry, and take in the sky and mountains.

Two-night minimum stay.

About Stacy Lewis

Our parents bought this home in 1994 as a place to retire, after living thirty-plus years in Southeast Alaska. The three of us kids — Nicolle, Stacy, and Ralph — were all born and raised in Ketchikan, Alaska. Two of us have been living in the Seattle area for over twenty years with the other in the Bay Area.

When my parents decided to stay in Arizona full-time, they wanted us to have the house, as a legacy for their children and grandchildren. We have loved being part of the Lummi Island life and want to share it with you!

Great Family Location

We have stayed in 6 other Lummi locations and most have been amazing. This does not disappoint. Tremendous views and the best equipped kitchen so far. There is enough space for kids to roam outside and inside. Beach access was tough because of tide schedules, but the views are still good. The steam shower was a winner. NO BATH TUB, however for those of you who soak. Easy drive and great privacy. Hubby was a little sad w/out cable, since playoff baseball is in full swing, but bring your DVDs and you can snuggle on the sofa. Really great accommodations. No complaints.

Beautiful, great island location

Perfect anniversary get away ... would definitely visit again! The steam shower was a great bonus. Definitely recommend hitting the grocery store and bringing over food for meals, snacks as the few Island options are pretty pricey.

Bed was comfy, kitchen had everything we needed, overall we had a great visit, we would definitely return.

Family fun

The proximity to store and ferry, the view of the mountain and ferry, and location right on the beach was all great!

Well supplied! We were missing a toaster. Also there was only liquid soap at the bathroom sink. No soap in the shower or at the kitchen sink. The freezer is slow on making ice, but we were able to purchase a bag of ice at the store, so not a problem. Could use a better cleaning. The shelves in the door of the frig are sticky gooey, and loaded with opened and outdated food items. Dust bunnies under the beds.

Appreciated having salt, pepper, sugar, and plastic wrap available. Well supplied.

We had a great time on the island and will come again!

Nice house in a really great location with a beautiful view

The house is nice—spacious, well-maintained, and has features like a sauna, a fully stocked kitchen, and a backyard patio with furniture—and is a very short drive from the Lummi Island Ferry Terminal, as well as the few shops and one of the only restaurants on the island. The house is right on the coast and has access to a little strip of beach. We only stayed for the weekend to attend a wedding on the island, but enjoyed the time that we spent at the house and would definitely rent it again.

Awesome view, great yard for kids, fun rocky beach!

We had a wonderful 4 days with our grandkids at this propety. Explored Lummi Island for the first time. Everything was great and everyone had an amazing time!

Map

Lummi Island is located near Bellingham, in northern Washington. The ferry dock is about a two-hour drive north of Seattle and a 1½ hour drive south of Vancouver, BC. The ferry leaves every hour and it is a ten-minute crossing.

Lummi Island's population is 800 people, and it has a small store, two cafes, a fancy restaurant, a couple of wineries, a small farmer's market, a few hikes and public beaches, and an artist tour every Memorial Day and Labor Day.

The house has everything you'll need, but you will want to bring all your groceries and shop before you get to the island. Also, you may want to bring bikes!

If you want to do any off-island outings, such as whale watching or hiking Mt. Baker Preserve, let us know, and we can help with that! But we suggest you stay put and relax. Lummi is the perfect getaway — a quiet place to enjoy the view, beach, and the people.
