We really loved our stay here. Great view and amenities - stocked kitchen, kid books and toys, lovely outdoor area and private beach for beach-combing. Will be back!
This was a lovely home with an amazing view of Mount Baker. I wish we would have known more about the ferry system. We are from landlocked Minnesota and I thought I had done my due diligence on the ferry payment system, but I didn't. Other than that, everything was lovely.

Great location and the best equipped kitchen we have ever rented. Excellent and quick response by property manager and owners when the refrigerator died.
Great stay! The home was comfortable and well stocked with everything we needed. Location was perfect! Walking distance to market and restaurant. Beautiful yard with lots of space. Private beach access was ideal and low tide was so fun to explore. We even experienced one night with bioluminescence on beach. Fantastic stay!!
We came up for the Artist weekend and we’re not disappointed. The accommodations were comfortable and the views amazing. We would definitely recommend this place.
This is a lovely family home. Very comfy. Amazing view across the whole front of the house to the east across Hale Passage to Komo Kulshan (Mt Baker) & north to Canada. A telescope is a fantastic addition. Owner & on-island mgr respond immediately to any questions & are very friendly & helpful. Again, very comfy.Very well laid out to accommodate groups. Kitchen is very comfortable for meal prep & large table for dining. Comfy furniture for playing board games, TV viewing,& reading with supplies provided. Playing soccer & frisbee on the grassy lawn was great for the kids, as well as exploring the beach at low tide. We also visited the Otto preserve…followed a map from the onsite resource center to a rope swing deep in a beautiful woods. The Labyrinth & beach at the Community church were a wonderful respite on a hot day. We paddle boarded around the small cove. Full Bloom Farm was another lovely stop. Local made food & crafts. Owner is a wonderful gardener… very informative. Just planted my new cuttings from her shop. The Beach Store Cafe is not to be missed, if possible. Limited days & hours, but…worth it. My meal was the arugula/strawberry/snap pea salad with Seafood chowder. Rest of my family had very deep-deep dish pizza. All was fabulous.Renewed a lot of family bonds over our 4 days. Thanks to the Owner & On-island mgr & all the lovely people we met for helping to make this possible.
We so enjoyed the beach house! We watched alpenglow on Mount Baker every evening around the fire pit. Kitchen was well stocked, and the children’s book selection was great!

Plenty of room for a family. Quiet and convenient. Amazing views.
My husband, teenage daughter and I all enjoyed the peace and quiet, playing in the tide pools on the beach, and the beautiful views. The ferry to and from the island was extremely affordable and reliable, making this a perfect place to relax after a busy day of sight-seeing.
We really enjoyed staying at this home with our small children. Having its own beach really made all the difference. The house is comfortable and has all your needs. The views and being in nature made it so peaceful. We really enjoyed our time on Lummi and the memories that were made.
Our second time staying at this property. Clean property with everything needed for cooking, bathing, etc. With plenty of room to spread out. Thanks so much for sharing your home with us!
The view says it allCelebrated my 60th birthday with a couple friends. We had a great time just chillin. The house is spacious with a large deck and yard. Lummi Island is cute I rent ALOT of vacation homes, usually do not rent a place again due to wanting to explore new places. This home I would love to rent again Thank you for sharing your property
This property is absolutely beautiful and a place I would strongly recommend to stay at. There was some sort of miscommunication and our place wasn’t cleaned when we arrived but Jackie quickly got someone there to clean the place and even bought my family an amazing dinner at Beach Store Cafe which was delicious. Jackie went to great lengths to correct the miscommunication and I have to say that service is rare and appreciated. We hope to be back soon and continue to enjoy the view and amazing environment. This is a place you should experience.
This was the perfect retreat home on the water. Quiet and peaceful with super spacious interior. Unexpected extras like large gas grill and steam/shower room made our stay extra special. The family heritage and feel of the place made our stay homey and comfortable. One of the best VRBO experiences I’ve had.
The house was as advertised, greatviews, large gathering space, well equipped kitchen. Parking was tight. Beach access was precarious but we had typical PNW weather so that didn't affect us much. Very good experience overall.

Staying at this property was great, it was clean, great instructions for the stay and the home was beautiful. Stacy couldn't have been more helpful when we needed to extend our trip. All was as promised and definitely I will rent again when we need to return to Lummi .
The location of this property is perfect; view is beautiful, easy to bike and walk as there is very little traffic on Lummi, and a very nice little beach you have access to right out the back. If you are not fussy about high end accomodations, but rather want a quiet, relaxing place for peaceful recharge--this is your place. Very much like a place you would find in many small europen towns.
My kids and I loved coming in and having it feel like a real home we were visiting. I appreciated the well stocked kitchen and grill for cooking at home. We visited the Saturday market and enjoyed walking all over the island as well as playing on our private beach. The herons and bald eagles and deer were amazing to watch. Thanks for the much needed vacation.
I really loved staying at the Seal Beach house. The location can't be beat, with the 180 degree views of Mt. Baker, the Canadian coastal range, close to the ferry, Beach Store Cafe, has its own sweet beach and it's just so peaceful. The house itself is spacious, comfortable and has everything you need. The myriad birds are awesome, and I am impressed with the Whatcom Chief ferry, that is one of the hardest working transportation systems ever.Stacey and Jackie were super-responsive and a pleasure to communicate with.I highly recommend this property and plan on coming back again.
Wonderful location so close to the ferry, store and restaurant. I would just suggest a more comfortable mattress in the back bedroom with split beds. We are older though! Kids might not notice. Beautiful views and very easy to be there. Thank you!!

About the host
Hosted by Stacy Lewis
Our parents bought this home in 1994 as a place to retire, after living thirty-plus years in Southeast Alaska. The three of us kids — Nicolle, Stacy, and Ralph — were all born and raised in Ketchikan, Alaska. Two of us have been living in the Seattle area for over twenty years while the other is in the Bay Area.
When my parents decided to stay in Arizona full-time, they wanted us to have the house, as a legacy for their children and grandchildren. We have loved being part of Lummi Island life and want to share it with you!
What makes this property unique
We love how great this feels for our family. There's plenty of room to gather, and our kids love it too. We are even a short walk to the elementary school playground when we all want a change of scenery.
