This comfortable water front home is rustic with high end finishes that have been reclaimed from historic structures and re-purposed into doors, cabinets and flooring. It features a large covered patio and a large carved rock fire pit just outside the spacious family room just steps from the water. Offering 3 bedrooms and 3 baths this home can sleep up to 10 and creates the perfect environment for family gatherings, water and fishing excursions or a relaxing retreat.

Named after the pair of Bald Eagles that roost upstream and fly the river daily to fish, “Eagles Nest” is perfect for many types of destination getaways. The first floor master suite includes a very comfortable king size bed and private bathroom with shower and slipper tub. On the other side of the home is Bedroom #2 with a very comfortable bed and bathroom. Upstairs is Bedroom #3 with a very comfortable bed and bathroom. The upstairs loft also has a futon and two folding twin beds for sleeping. Each of the bedrooms feature with flat screen TV’s, vaulted ceilings and ceiling fans,

The spacious family room fronts the water and has a 24 foot tall wall of windows to view the water and the spectacular Montana vistas. It has a two sided fire place that it shares with the kitchen each side with 70 inch flat screen TV’s. Just outside the family room is a large covered patio with a large carved basalt rock fire pit and comfortable seating for 14, perfect for early morning coffee and end of the day winding down.

The kitchen and dining area features high end stainless steel appliances and counter tops. The two sided fireplace and second 70” flat screen TV add ambiance and entertainment to your cooking and dining experience. The dining room features huge windows to view the water and Montana vistas while you dine. The kitchen also has another covered porch with table and chairs for dining outside. Speaking of outside, there is a covered outdoor kitchen next to the water complete with stove and bbq for your enjoyment.

There is a treadmill and an elliptical trainer in the second floor loft for keeping up with your routine or go for a relaxing run or bicycle ride throughout the neighborhood. We furnish 5 single rider bicycles of different sizes including helmets for your enjoyment. We also furnish inter tubes for long and short floats down the Swan River. There are several rental places in Bigfork (7 miles) that can deliver paddle boards, jet skis, boats and whatever else you might desire.

The trip to the closest store and market is 3 miles and Bigfork is approximately 7 miles. Bigfork offers dining , shopping, art galleries, live summer theater and a marina for the Flathead Lake. It is a 30 minute drive to Kalispell which features Glacier International Airport (FCA) and major shopping. World renowned Glacier National Park is located 45 minutes away and is unforgettable!!! While there be sure to take the Red Bus tour and a raft trip down the Flathead River. The town of Whitefish is located about 45 miles from Eagles Nest.

This home was a labor of love to build. The location on the Swan River is one of the best. The locals who float the river claim that Eagle's Nest is the "coolest on the river"! It offers tranquility and peace as well as comfortable elegance in a rustic setting. Eagles Nest features all of the modern conveniences as well as reclaimed wood from a few very historic sites in Montana and Wisconsin.

Great location, beautiful home!

We had a wonderful stay at the Eagles Nest. The home is beautiful and very spacious. The kitchen was a great gathering place and I loved the appliances:) My favorite part of the day was the morning, taking my coffee outside and smelling the wonderful fresh pine air. The kids liked tubing and we even staged a pirate treasure hunt on the small island across from the house. I would highly recommend staying here, the owner and caretaker are extremely easy to work with and went above and beyond to make our stay the best it could be. Thank you all so much!!

You will not find a nicer home in the area!

This place was absolutely perfect for our family vacation. A well built and beautiful home that you are sure to enjoy. And the location of the house is great for touring the area in and around Glacier National Park.

better than it looks!

All too seldom, you are surprised by something BETTER in person than the images or description. this property is indeed much nicer and complete than the images indicate! The building is finished well; all the kitchen items in place and the furnishings fit in beautifully. the house is close to the river and the sounds are intoxicating at night - it just could not be better. the fire pit is the center of the day and evenings and a perfect size. small touches like dimmable lighting, and great TV's make the stay feel like home. the layout works so well for 3 or 4 couples. By far, probably the best value in the local rental market!

Great time spent at the Eagle's Nest.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and I would recommend it to friends etc. Location was really nice in that it sat on the river and we enjoyed having morning coffee and evening drinks outside watching and listening to the river. The owner was helpful, responsive and very inviting, even offering some great advice on local attractions and excursions.

We loved it!

We loved it. Our grandkids loved and enjoyed tubing down the river and riding the mountain bikes. Many almost tame deer exist nearby. Many days our short walks would see up to 10 different deer sightings. One was even on it's hind legs stealing an apple from a neighbor's tree. We visited Glacier National Park, rented a boat on Flathead Lake(visited horse island) and the Ghost town of Garnett, MT which we greatly enjoyed and felt the distances to these were reasonable. Bigfork has a cute little shopping area with several Art galleries that are interesting. Bigfork even have a little casino, but we did not check that out.

We read the previous visitor's comments after we got back and did not have any of the issues they mentioned. We felt the cameras were for security and they did not concern us. The owners were not present when we were there. We agree with the positive comments all of the other visitors mentioned. The echo lake café was a wonderful place for breakfast.

We didn't think there was much in the way of groceries available in Bigfork(never actually found them, though), so we stocked up in Kalispell before we arrived.

The architecture used is very upscale and impressive. Hand Hewn wood beams and columns (We think it was retrieved from an old building in Iowa) along with old barn siding used on both the interior & exterior add to the rustic décor both inside and out. The dining room wood table appears to be one piece and must have come from some remote place in the world where 5' wide trees still grow.

We wish the interior fireplace was in working order, but I understand they are still working on that.

We recommend it to everyone

Beautiful property, however lacking privacy.

The house is beautiful. The property is beautiful. It is located right on the river. Our family spent most of our time next to the fire place. I had no complaints about the house or the location. The only complaint is the property lacks privacy. To start, the owners are located on site. Literally 20 feet from the cabin. Nothing was mentioned of that in the description of the property. Secondly, there are cameras located both outside and INSIDE the home. The owners were not very friendly. As we were loading up to leave, the owner came and talked to us. He was more concerned about us getting out of there than how our stay was. I would not recommend this property if you are looking for a cabin and want privacy.

Owner's Response: Thank you for your review regarding our property and your most recent visit. We appreciate the compliments with regards to its location and surroundings. To address your concerns regarding the surveillance and privacy, although not described prior to your visit, we can assure you that the cameras are disabled during the summer months and are strictly utilized when the property is not being occupied during the winter months. Due to them being a permanent installation, they cannot be removed upon each tenants arrival. Prior to your arrival, you were contacted regarding the condition that, as owners, we would be also staying in the detached garage/apartment located in front of and not part of the main rental property. During this time and during the initial booking process you did not disclose that you would be bringing 4 large dogs to the property. Upon your arrival we were told that your animals would remain in your RV throughout the duration of your stay. That, however, was not the case, as you allowed the dogs inside the house against our policy and your assurance that the 4 large dogs would remain inside the RV. Finally, in regards to our conversation upon your departure, your checkout time was 11AM and you departed after that time. The premises were set to be occupied by a new visitor and as owners, we needed adequate time to clean and prepare the property for their arrival. Given that there were large dogs on and within the property, without our knowledge, additional cleaning and preparation needed to take place that was not originally intended including carpet cleaning and whole house sanitizing due to potential pet allergies of future guests. We apologize if you found our intentions otherwise. We take great pride in our home and enjoy sharing it with others. Your feedback is appreciated and we truly hope you enjoyed your stay at the Eagle’s Nest.
