Beautiful cabin and views

  • 5 of 5

Over the Edge is a beautiful home with stunning views. We had a wonderful time during our stay. The cabin is very clean, well furnished and stocked and beautifully crafted. Can't say enough about the view from the porch! From the cabin we drove to The Road to Nowhere which was a lot of fun, we went white water rafting, zip lining and mountain biking on the Tsali Trails. We enjoyed the hammocks and the fire pit as well as hiking to the top of the mountain. It is a very relaxing place and we look forward to a return visit.

Impressive view. Beautiful Cabin

  • 5 of 5

When we booked the cabin, we were looking for something very remote and chill for the weekend. Our friends were going to join us and we all have pretty stressful jobs, so we really wanted somewhere to disengage and relax. This was perfect for us. We loved how far it was up the mountain and the view was breathtaking.

The accommodations are great as well. The master bedroom is on the first floor and has an amazing adjoining bathroom. The second bedroom is in the basement and has no window, which allows for optimum sleeping! The 3rd and 4th bedrooms are in the loft. They are open to the living area, so if you are wanting complete privacy in the bedroom, this arrangement does not allow for it. It was great for our close group of friends and the one little man that was with us (9 months).

The kitchens was great and we had 3 cooks in the kitchen at all time (hehe). It was well stocked and the pots and pans were nicely taken care of. We were pleasantly surprised at how nice everything was in the cabin, especially for a rental cabin.

We really enjoyed having our coffee on the porch, chilling by the fire pit, and watching the snow fall from the amazing windows in the living room. It really is a beautiful cabin and we will be back.

The owners went above and beyond for us! Any question that I had was answered and they were on top of the weather situation the whole time. Thank you for such an enjoyable weekend.

**Hint: We went to Innovation Brewing Company and had an amazing time. They had a food truck and served some amazing beers. We also had pizza at Speedy's Pizza, which the white pizza is the way to go! Yum!

Beautiful & Peaceful Vacation Spot

  • 5 of 5

Over The Edge Log Cabin was absolutely amazing. My family and I enjoyed the cabin so much. It was beautiful and offered a variety of things to do. There were board games, a pool table, cornhole, Netflix, wifi, hot tub, and a fire pit. (Plenty of things to keep you occupied). We enjoyed looking through the photo albums where it explained how the cabin came about. The owners spent a lot of time building this cabin and the history to the story makes it so authentic. The view off of the balcony was breathtaking. We had babies with us so we did have to improvise for a baby gate at all the stair entryways, but we managed to have an accident free vacation. There was a little drive to Asheville, but we knew that before booking. We enjoyed the peacefulness of the property more than anything. There is also a brewery close by that we enjoyed in Sylva, only a few minutes down the road. Overall, this place is perfect if you are wanting a nice relaxing getaway in the mountains.

As far as the bad review someone left in the past- disregard it! It sounded as if they were very high maintenance and needed something to complain about.

The owners were very helpful and provided us a wonderful place to spend our vacation.

Thank you for opening up your vacation home to my family!

Incredible cabin with breathtaking view. We had hard time leaving it to go to attractions. Everything you need and more. Very well maintained road to cabin. Loved the open floor plan with the abundant natural light from all the windows. We also enjoyed the game room downstairs plying pool and cards after sun went down. Thanks so much for sharing! Highly recommended!
