Beautiful cabin and views

  • 5 of 5

Over the Edge is a beautiful home with stunning views. We had a wonderful time during our stay. The cabin is very clean, well furnished and stocked and beautifully crafted. Can't say enough about the view from the porch! From the cabin we drove to The Road to Nowhere which was a lot of fun, we went white water rafting, zip lining and mountain biking on the Tsali Trails. We enjoyed the hammocks and the fire pit as well as hiking to the top of the mountain. It is a very relaxing place and we look forward to a return visit.

A great place to get away from it all!

  • 5 of 5

We rented this beautiful home in May. My husband and I were looking for a place to escape our busy lives and get away from it all. We were also looking for a place where our adult children and grandchildren could join us for the Memorial Day weekend. We had 6 adults and 2 children. This house fit the bill. The description the owners posted were very accurate. The home was clean, well furnished, and provided an extremely comfortable and relaxing stay. We had the home for 8 days and never tired of it.

The view is spectacular. I just can't say enough about the view. The deck was amazing. Our family loved the fire pit and the hammocks. We had a blast just sitting around talking and gazing at the beautiful scenery the Smoky's provided. A couple of days it rained on us but there is also a covered porch so we were able to sit out and enjoy the sound of the rain and the view.

The kitchen was well stocked with all the pots, pans, utensils, etc. you would need to cook any meal. We loved getting up and cooking breakfast and eating on the deck. The beds were comfortable and there were plenty of towels and wash clothes for everyone.

We all have 4 wheel drive vehicles so the road was no big deal to us. It may appear steep to others but to get a view like we had you would have to travel up a steep road. We actually fit all 3 vehicles in the driveway.

We loved hiking up the hill to the top of the mountain. We drove into Bryson City to the Great Smoky Mountain National Park and hiked several trails. The waterfalls were beautiful. Bryson City offered great restaurants for lunch and supper. We also drove over to the Highlands area and again, experienced great shopping, meals, and hiking adventures.

The owners were great to work with and took care of any situation that arose during our stay. I would highly recommend staying at "Over The Edge" log cabin.

Beautiful home with spectular view of the mountains

  • 5 of 5

We really enjoyed our stay at Over the edge. The home is located about half way up the mountain and has the most spectacular views of the the mountains and sunrise. It is a site to see with the clouds down below the peaks and the sun rising up from the peaks. Wow.

The home is gorgeously decorated and well equipped with everything needed. Great location as it is just a short drive to many area sites to see. The kids really enjoyed exploring the area. Water falls excersion and the river rafting. Plenty of site seeing and shopping close by in town. Perfect location for a mountain getaway.

The Cabin was clean and very well appointed for our five night stay. The views were spectacular.

  • 5 of 5

I was looking for a mountain cabin with privacy, great views, and a place to relax. Well...."Over the Edge" is just that place. We spent the morning drinking coffee on the large deck overlooking spectacular views of the Great Smokey Mountains. We took day trips to Bryson City, Cherokee, and Dillsboro. All had great attractions for the the whole family. We also went hiking, gem mining, and trout fishing all within minutes of the cabin. We brought food for meals and the kitchen was very well apointed for all our cooking needs. We took full advantage of the outdoor grill and fire pit as well which made for great variety for meals and evening relaxation. I would highly recommend opting for the hot tube as well. What a great way to end a long day of outdoor activity. We enjoyed our stay here very much and definately will be back.

AMAZING CABIN HOUSE!!!! :D

  • 5 of 5

Over the edge was absolutely a beautiful cabin house. This is a very well appointed, spacious, comfortable, nicely decorated & clean cabin. It has everything you possibly need. The mountains views are stunning. The moment we stepped into the porch, the views are just incredibly breathtaking. The view speaks for itself. Really the pictures do not do enough for this home, you would have to see it to appreciate it. My family and I really enjoyed our stay here. The owners Lori & Kristi were very friendly, helpful & responsive, they answered all the questions I had. I would highly recommend this beautiful house to anyone, look no further. Overall, the stay was a wonderful experience. Thank you for letting us stay here! :)

Amazing Views and All the Comforts of Home!

  • 5 of 5

What an amazing rental! We enjoyed every minute of our stay at this home which was well appointed and had all the comforts of home. The owners take such pride in this vacation spot, I think it must be difficult for them not to be there every day - but they are sharing their pride and joy with others. Thank you Owners!

Please note... Cabin is located up a well maintained gravel mountain road approx. 2 miles, with steep grade. Road conditions can vary as it is a gravel road . We recommend front wheel and 4 wheel drive and/or chains in the winter months. We have had motorcycles up there, but do not consider the gravel steep incline to be motorcycle friendly.
