Our 2nd home named Carolina Comfort has long range views, is close to restaurants & dining, Harrah's Cherokee Casino, hiking, fishing, family-friendly activities, Blue Ridge Parkway & skiing.The home is great for couples, families (with kids), & big groups.
A beautiful cabin at the top of the mountain with Hot Tub, Open Floor Plan, Ping Pong, Horseshoe pit, Wildlife, Secluded yet close to everything Smoky Mountains has to offer. 4 wheel drive required during winter months.

My family and I really enjoyed our mini vacation here. Life has been hectic and stressful lately, so this getaway was a much-needed breath of fresh air. The house was wonderful, clean, comfortable, and well-kept. The location was great and easy to get to. David was a kind and responsive host, and we truly appreciate his hospitality.

We had a great time. The home has a great view. Very cozy beds. Kitchen was stocked with all the things needed. Parking was fine. Drive up to house is to be expected with a mountain town. Hot tub was lovely. We will absolutely stay here again. Loved it.

Great place to stay

Great place to stay, had everything we needed. Water pressure was low if anything was running in the cabin and hot water didn’t last long but overall, great place to stay.

Beautiful Place

Great place for our family get together! Clean, comfortable, and beautiful views. The only draw back was the roads to the house were rough and steep. We had friends with us who drove a medium sized car and they had a lot of trouble getting to the house.

We did want to gently clarify for future guests: while the roads are gravel, they are well maintained and navigable with standard two-wheel drive vehicles. Driving in the mountains can feel a bit different if you're not used to it, but using a lower gear—as we mention in the check-in instructions—helps make the drive smoother and more comfortable. Car size typically isn’t an issue. We really appreciate your feedback and hope to host you again sometime!

Beautiful Mountain Top Retreat

This is our second year staying at this awesome property. It is clean, well taken care of and well stocked, and all the beds are comfortable. Would definitely stay again.

Lovely cabin

What a beautiful cabin and location. Kitchen has everything you need including some essentials, spices etc. If you love the mountains you'll love this place. All wheel drive or 4 wheel recommended.

Scenic view and lovely home

We loved staying at Carolina Comfort. The house was clean, comfortable, quiet, spacious, private, and had an amazing view. The location was great for hiking in GSMNP, a day trip to Asheville and whitewater rafting. Would definitely return!

Carolina Comfort Grand Weekend!

This place is in a wonderfully secluded location that has amazing views of the Smokies, and all of the amenities you would ever want or need for a fantastic visit. The hot tub is a really nice feature for a relaxing end to the day. If you are a native plant lover the place is surrounded by them! Rare flame azalea's and rhododendrons and it goes on and on. I think the descriptions and pictures are accurate, although just like any other place there are some features you have to get used to (sa we had 8 people and the nice large dining table only had 6 nice chairs....we had to bring up a couple of other chairs from around the house). The kitchen is very well stocked and all of the bedrooms and facilities are in very good shape. You are literally 3 miles from Joey's Pancake House which was our final event before leaving this beautiful area. I think this is a great place to spend some time, and you will not be disappointed!

Family vacation

Carolina Comfort was a wonderful home. Well equipped, great location and beautiful views. The road up to the house was steep, but my son's Camry made it fine. Just follow the owners instructions. We enjoyed the hot tub, fire pit and ping pong. We all had our own space and the kitchen was well stocked. Great rental for sure!!

The Carolina Comfort

The Carolina Comfort was perfect for our party of 6. The cabin had absolutely everything we needed. Each couple had there own floor and bathroom. The fire wood was definitely provided. The owner response and communication was excellent. We had a blast for our weekend getaway. Will definitely remember this location and would definitely use again. Thank you for allowing us to use your beautiful home!

The stay was amazing. Only problem we had was there was not any curtains to the windows in the living area and kitchen. I understand the view is amazing but I think we should have had an option. Besides that. Everything was wonderful.

Could not access property

We were unable to access the property driving 2 wheel drive truck, pulling a trailer. The road is a steep incline with gravel. No response from the owner!

Not sure what to say. Come to mountains.. dont ask if its ok to pull trailer. Show up.... its advertised as moutain top retreat. Think first... dont bad mouth place for your lack of sence.

Awesome stay!

Property was just as awesome as advertised! Loved the views and all the amenities here within the Carolina Comfort residence! Had some great fun with some ping pong, horseshoe pit was awesome. They offered cards and other board games. House was fully furnished and plenty to offer. The WiFi here was very wonky which would be my biggest gripe. They had plenty of extension it seemed however for the most part I could not watch or stream anything over my phone/tablets on 720p up. Might be some room to grow there if thats feasible for the place. Only one tv in the location, would be cool to see a TV down in the ping ping room/Bar area. Jacuzzi/hot tub was awesome. We had a small problem with getting temperatures up and the host got us in contact with their hot tub guy at 11PM at night and got us running. Super cool to help us out! Loved our stay and would highly recommend!!
