The beach here is broad and delightfully uncrowded - perfect for beach combing, leisurely walks, wave watching, and sunset celebrations. The peaceful sound of the ocean is your constant companion at this cabin, just 250 paces from the sand. Wildlife lovers will enjoy the kaleidoscopic array of birds, and the chipmunks, squirrels, and other critters that share our little piece of paradise. Habitat is being restored and many native plants are being added to invite even more of our native wildlife. Stocked bird feeders bring the action close for your enjoyment even on drizzly days. We provide extra bird food for your stay. A warm fire is ready at the touch of a button with the propane fireplace installed spring of 2021.

Railway enthusiasts will delight as the vintage steam engine passes just behind the cabin on her regular rounds, transporting visitors back in time and to nearby beach towns, making for magical memories. (check schedule for dates). Fishing and crabbing, long walks on the beach ,gorgeous nearby hikes, and exploring the charming town of Rockaway are favorite things to do during your stay. Our "Welcome" book provides even more ideas for outings and activities, along with menus and info on the local shops, and descriptions of many native plants.

The cabin welcomes you with three uniquely decorated bedrooms, each with a comfortable queen-sized bed, providing sleeping for six. While there are three bedrooms, the house is cozy, compact, and ideally suited to up to four guests. A roomy balcony and deck will extend your outdoor relaxation space. The kitchen is well equipped with dishware, pots, pans, teas and coffee, spices etc.. Enjoy our gift of S'mores fixings to add to a magical evening. There is a well-stocked beach bag, roasting sticks, bocci ball, books, board games, movies, even a portable artists' studio and more to make this an unforgettable holiday.

The cabin is perched atop a slope with 24 steps to the lower grounds which we share with the matching house to the south.

* We adhere to state and county guidelines for cleanliness during the Covid 19 pandemic. We do not schedule back to back guests in order to complete extensive cleaning and thoroughly air out the house, ensuring the freshest, cleanest indoor air possible. Air purifier and dehumidifier are also in use. All high touch surfaces, such as counters, knobs, handles, touch pad entry system, handrails, switches, taps, etc, are cleaned with disinfectant. Upholstered furniture is vacuumed and sprayed with disinfectant. Vacuum cleaner is emptied and filters washed after each guest visit. Floors are scrubbed, not just damp mopped. Bedding and bath linens are freshly laundered. All sofa and bed pillows have three freshly laundered layers of coverings. Extra bedding is individually sealed in plastic bags.
Guests are provided with face masks and gloves in individual packets should they be needed during their visit. Hand sanitizer is also provided.
