Why Melissa Crimmins and Bryan Hagedon chose Lake Leelanau

the Matson family are Michigan natives and have been visiting Northern Michigan for generations. They have owned property in other parts of the North yet over 20 years ago after visiting Leland for many years selected this location for their year around retreat. They have enjoyed creating many family memories of their own raising their two young children at the lake every summer. They were the ideal owners for this particular home as they have thoughtfully retained the historic beauty while continuing to enhance and compliment it's design with modern elements and character.

What makes this house unique

the residence is within an extremely private enclave within the town of Leland. It is rare to be in town, on Lake Michigan, within walking distance to Lake Leelanau, the river and all the shops, restaurants, galleries, museums.

Beautiful, classic cottage with modern amenities

  • 5 of 5

Look no further! I've looked at every rental cottage in Leland and this is by far the nicest cottage available to rent. It has classic charm, along with every modern amenity. Unlike other classic cottage rentals in Leland, which tend to be dark, tired and depressing, this cottage has beautiful, light, clean decor; a beautiful, modern kitchen; and great bathrooms. Another plus is that it's on a gorgeous, private beach...far away from very crowded South Beach.
